Charged 3 dollars for this spicy mayo and didn't mention it would be a extra charge.

Worst experience of my life. Came here with 6 buddies and only 3 of them ate, they charged a 25% tip because it was "6 people or over" absolutely terrible. The most mediocre sushi as well, charged 17 for 8 pieces!! As well as when we payed the bill another 3% charge for debit card. Would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

So generous with the hotate and avocado.

What an amazing little gem. I came in just before the rush and spoke with Taka and Lenora my bright, cheerful and attentive server. Such a warm welcoming vibe. They serve real gen mai cha tea which is a breath of warm nutty fresh air. Everything was amazing. Hamachi carpaccio was my favorite. The dressing was so bright and tangy, opening up the flavors generously with the delicate hamachi melting in my mouth. And the pickled peppercorns, ZOMG ... I wanted a whole side dish! Amazing spicy hotatate (scallop) hand roll with generous hotate, avocado and tobiko. Miso was on point. I finished with the shishito spicy maguro tempura and it was the perfect warm dish to finish my meal. So FULL I forgot to take a picture is was so excited about the shishito. I grew up in a Japanese household and worked at some amazing and famous Japanese restaurants in Seattle, Las Vegas and more. This has a nice balance of fresh raw dishes, warm Japanese tapas and big hot meals for those comfort days. Whatcha waiting for? Get your nom on. PSA. Everything is made fresh. Don't complain about long wait times if you want freshly made food from scratch with love. Go to McDonald's? Sheesh.

The food and service was very good. The sushi tasted fresh and the tempura was delicious. My wife had the beef curry and she said it had the spice and the taste of great Japanese curry. Would definitely come here again.

    Beef yakisoba with udon noodles.

Hubby, my sister and I decided to have dinner at this place. I ordered pork ramen, hubby ordered Cod bento box and my sister ordered the beef yakisoba with udon noodles. Half through eating her beef yakisoba udon noodle dish, she came upon a piece of aluminum foil in her food. This is disconcerting. Also saw one of the cooks went to the fridge, he took out a piece meat with his bare hands and threw it on the grill for a bit and then placed it back into the fridge. He then wipe his hands on his apron and went back inside and grab a wet towel and proceed to wipe the counter. Cross contamination in place. Not good hence the one star.

Bento box with black cod was delicious. Sushi always on point. Waitstaff kind. Service takes a while, don't expect a quick meal. Pricey.

It was the end of the day, so the place wasn't the cleanest, but it wasn't nasty, just unbussed tables, a dirty tablecloth, and a bit of food on the floor. Service was standard and sufficient. We ordered the spicy tuna handroll, hamachi maki, salmon thing, pork gyoza, and carlos roll (minus avocado) cuz i was curious about the chicken beef shrimp combo. Most of the food was decent, though they used imitation crab instead of fresh crab, surprisingly, since the restaurant is located so close to the water. The carlos roll wasn't great. The texture was definitely different (I was fine with it, but my bf couldn't even eat it), and the meats were a bit dry. Unique for sure, but not exactly the most appealing. Our favorite items were the salmon thing, pork gyoza, and spicy hamachi handroll. Nothing too special, but the taste was better than the rest.

They have a very large selection of sake, and the servers know and talk with the locals which is so nice to see in our modern society. The sashimi was absolutely stunningly good. Usually we like sitting at the bar to see the chefs do their thing, but this place is not like that at least the night we went to which was surprising cause Japanese establishments typically are cooking out in the open. They had a lot of different sakes which was really nice to see but no draft beer unless I missed it. They let you pick a cup for your sake which is so cute, I loved that. All their table wear was so beautiful. We got a fruity sake first and loved that one. The second one was the "goku" it was giving straight sake. I'd prolly stick to fruitier ones. The server was very kind and she was easy to talk to and provided great service. As for the food, I thought it was pretty okay! We ordered the omakase which was $75 per person and it was very filling. We had trout sashimi which had some bite texturally not my fave fish tbh. Potato Salad which a jammy egg omg I loved it but wondered how it'd taste if the egg was marinated. The mushroom soup was lemony and oniony it was pretty good. The karage could've been crispier imo and I wish the wasabi aoli was a lil different but it was still good. The robata was hella good my fave was the meatball one, I'm not a big fan of cartilage but that it very well cooked, and I appreciated the pile seasoning provided as well. The strawberry topped panna cotta was so good no notes. Overall, pretty good and I'd go again if I was in this area and order individual dishes especially the potato salad and panna cotta. Not really the vibe of an izakaya imo they also don't have ginger but def a nice Japanese restaurant with some twists.

An extremely solid 4 1/2 stars…read more.. I found this place while staying at a local motel. The name kind of concerned me, so I took a look at their menu online. Szechuan is way too spicy for me, but they had a lot of items on the menu that were not spicy at all. I decided to go with a sizzling rice, soup, and the mu shu chicken. The restaurant was only a few minutes away, so I called my order in, and they told me it would be ready in just a few minutes. I go down to pick up my food, and it was a very nice restaurant. The people who ran the place were very friendly, and when they brought out my food, dear Lord... It was in a large box. I couldn't believe how much food I got. I brought it back to my room, and it was amazing. The soup had chicken, beef, and shrimp. The broth had a great flavor, and between the meat and the veggies, which were not mushy at all, there were a lot of "goodies" inside. It also came with a very decent sized portion of crispy rice to put in the soup. The moo shu was also very good. The chicken was tender and moist, and the veggies played very well with it. The "pancakes" actually reminded me of tortillas, but they were very good, and there were *5*of them. The order came with what I believe was a hoisin sauce on the side, and I put some of that in the moose shoe, and some of that in the soup, and it just completely added to the flavor. I had enough for dinner, a snack later on, and breakfast in the morning. It was an amazing meal. The only reason I'm taking off half of a star, was because they didn't give me any silverware or napkins. I didn't think about looking when I got the meal, because I figured they would be there. Fortunately, I keep a set of travel silverware with me, and so I didn't have to go back to the restaurant to get the silverware. I don't know if they normally don't give the silverware or if they just forgot, but it was a very small glitch. Next time, I will double check. And yes, there will be a next time. Thanks!

All downhill from there. Out of noodles. No chow meins which is another shocker considering it is a specialty based on menu offering 5+ variation. I asked which Chinese chicken dish had assortment of vegetables. They didn't know and returned to tell me the "chicken with vegetables". Had vegetables. Um ok I read that on the menu but everything listed was nonndescriotive and I had no idea the difference between this restaurants version of Szechuan, generals, kung pao etc chicken dishes. Basically server had no clue what was on the menu or even ability tone of assistance. I ordered the general chicken that was supposed to be hot it had no heat and no sauce worth noting. Nor any rice. Nice batter though. My son ordered sushi and had to eat it with a fork because the roll fell apart with chop sticks. Yes he knows how to use them. Sushi was low grade and some was fishy tasting One of my other cohorts had to wait 30-40 minutes after first entree was served before they received their food. Slow unprofessional staff and poor food preparation and quality. Will not be back anytme soon.
