My first time here and sad to say, I do not plan on returning back. When you 1st walk in, it has the " hole in the wall" vibe. No one was there when i arrived. After I had ordered my food and was seated, I noticed there were lots of flies flying around inside the restaurant. The Tom kha soup and expensive pad thai were just ok. Green curry w/beef- beef was very hard, curry was very oily. Crispy Spring rolls were the best thing I ate there. It was simply mediocre and placed on top of a lot of sweet and sour sauce. Husband and I and our pup stopped by Nit's cafe to get take out for dinner. They waited in the car while I went in to order. There was a very nice lady we ordered from who made our meal. We ordered a pad Thai with eggs and tofu. Did not get prawns because we're vegetarian, and she was super sweet about it. The inside was really cute and pretty. Flowers on every table and decorations on the wall with maps and foods from Thailand. Paid $20 for our food, and the amount was so generous we were able to split it and feel very full. She gave us utensils to take with us. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for a yummy meal. She saw our dog waiting with my husband in the car. Offered for her to say hi, and this lady was so cute! She came outside and said hi to our dog and asked to take a picture with him. She reminded me of my family. I will say the food I did get was relatively good. Unfortunately, the dishes were not prepared per menu. I ordered the Tom Kha Gai soup. Menu indicated it had tofu in it. No tofu was in it. I ordered the Fresh Spring Rolls substituting the prawns and chicken with tofu. What I received was a romaine lettuce heart wrapped in rice paper with overpowering vinegar dressing. I ordered the green curry for my entree with tofu. The dish was served without tofu. And to top it off no itemized receipt was provided. It was only after I left did I realized I was overcharged by roughly $15.00. The lighting is bright fluorescent giving a cold and sterile ambiance. I could not eat my meal fast enough so I could leave. Owner speaks little English so it was nearly impossible to communicate with her. I will not go back. read more

I going little to positive about this place. The seating is cozy but the ingredients in the several dishes we ordered were odd for Thai food . The kun Gar Gai soup tasted ok but the rest were far from delicious. Our waitress apparently was the cook and waitress as well and had limited skills in English. We dined here on our way back to the San Francisco Bay Area after visiting Mendocino County. Being from the Bay Area, we are picky about our Thai food. This tiny place turned out to be a real gem. We ordered the Green Curry with beef over brown rice, and the Pad Thai. When the food came, our eyes widened because the portions were huge! The Pad Thai did not just have a few small prawns, it had 7 large tiger prawns and was plated nicely with all the herbs, peanuts, lime and bean sprouts. A lot of times Pad Thai can be too sweet, but in this case it was just right. The Green Curry was a little different in that the rice and the curry did not came separately which we were used to, but were already mixed. The beef was tender and seasoned well and the green curry had the right amount of heat. There were plenty of steamed vegetables in the dish. We couldn't finish our meal due to the portion size but we happily finished it off for dinner when we got home. Our server that day also happens to be the chef. She was really nice. Quite an interesting place. When you walk in, you just grab a menu and seat yourself. I did not know this right off the bat and just started walking towards the back when this gentleman said just sit anywhere you like, grab a menu and relax. I am assuming he was one of the owners? Either way he was a very nice man, and the lady that came from the back to take my order was great as well! Inside is a bit small but cozy. We had the Scallops special and let me tell you they were some of the best I have had! We ordered curry with catch of the day, then what we got is microwave salmon, and the inside is still cold! The curry itself taste really bad too no curry flavor. And we also ordered the organic garden salad apparently the salad must have sit too long even have white fluffy hair!! In the end they even tried to charge more than the menu price thought we wouldn't notice. By the time I am writing this review I feel my stomach is already upsetting. Literally THE WORST Thai food I've ever had. I don't know if the 5 star reviews are all fake or if there is some local campaign to keep the owner from losing her business, but I feel so cheated and mad that I ended up here. Upon walking in, a woman (the owner) came right up to me, very close, and asked something unintelligible- I guess she was trying to take my order without offering me a seat or a menu. I glanced at the specials- old curled sheets of paper marked up with pen sitting on a table near the door- and ordered the salmon curry. She said she could make me halibut with red curry so I accepted that. There was only one couple in the restaurant, and they were very friendly, telling me this was their favorite restaurant (again, why?!) The food on their plates didn't look like any Thai food I'd seen- lots of carrots and frozen corn in some sort of thick yellow sauce. My dish arrived and I was so confused at first. It just looked wrong- it was a bed of old, wilted, browning lettuce (a truly huge amount) with a side of black rice (the only authentic seeming element to this meal) and a piece of pan fried halibut, all covered in the same gloppy yellow sauce I'd seen on the other diner's plates. The sauce was so salty it was barely edible, the rice was crispy/undercooked, and there was no way I was gonna try that hot wilted lettuce that was leaking juices into the dish. I had a few bites of the fish, which was actually okay, but then started to feel really skeezed out by the whole place and asked for the check. The owner brought me someone else's bill with their cash inside still. I just dropped my $25 on the table and booked it out of there. Definitely something off about the owner and would not recommend at all! read more
