I came on a Saturday during the busiest time. I didn't have to wait for long, maybe 10 or 15 minutes behind four other cars. I appreciated their efficiency and have a new favorite place to go get my car serviced. The staff were all incredibly kind. Three different people approached me to offer me a drink while I was waiting behind the other cars which I thought was very sweet. Notable to me was how this is one of the only places I've ever been that cared to ask if I needed to reset my "oil change due" maintenance required light. I know how to do it myself, but I have to do it myself every single time I get my car serviced because the dealership doesn't. In the short time I was there, there were many more positive, helpful, informative moments, which isn't a normal occurrence when getting your car serviced. It's the small things like that, little details and thorough customer service, that really made this a really great experience. It's a bit further from home than my normal place, but I'm glad I ventured out. I am happy to have found my "place" to go to when I need knowledgeable, reliable, and efficient service from some really great mechanics. Looking forward to popping in again soon. read more

I had my oil changed at the Take 5 Oil Change on Alsbury Blvd. in Burleson, and the oil filter was not properly tightened. This caused a major oil leak and resulted in my vehicle being towed to Nissan for inspection and repairs. I incurred additional expenses for the tow, a new oil change, and the inconvenience of being without my vehicle--all because of a careless mistake that should never have happened. What has been even more disappointing is the complete lack of customer service afterward. I have emailed Take 5's corporate office four different times over the past month with all of my documentation and receipts, and I have not received a single response. Not even an acknowledgment that my emails were received. Mistakes can happen, but ignoring a customer after your company's negligence caused additional expenses is unacceptable. I expected accountability and professionalism. Instead, I've been met with complete silence. I would strongly caution anyone considering this location. If a simple oil change goes wrong, don't expect timely communication or support from corporate. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Take 5 until they demonstrate they stand behind their work and take care of their customers. read more

Contrary to the receipt, they did not check the tires. They did not clean the windshield. They did not top up the windshield washer fluid. As far as I could tell, they did not go under the car at all. They drained the oil by pumping it out the top of the engine. I am not even sure they changed the oil filter which they charged me for? They have gone up on price since my last oil change. I asked them why they would not pull in the drain plug and was told his coworker was in the restroom and he was working several cars by himself. I think it is sad that a good business could allow this to happen. read more

Came in for an oil change...I could've picked a better time. I went during my lunch break, thinking it would only take about 15 minutes (since that's what they advertise). It ended up taking at least an hour, and there were only three cars ahead of me. Where I'm from, that's maybe a 20-minute wait, tops. I think they were short-staffed, but the real kicker was that the oil drain was down. They had to manually drain the oil into buckets, which definitely added to the delay. Normally, I wouldn't mind so much, but there was barely any communication until I was literally the next car in line. Honestly, they should've just told me upfront. I could've come back later or gone to a different location. On the bright side, I had a coupon, so at least I didn't pay full price. And I do like that you can stay in your car during the service. Upon arrival we saw 3 gentleman on staff. We needed and inspection. They pulled is into the bay quickly, and exactly 1 hour later we are still in the bay. 1st time and last time to come here. At this moment four oil changes have occurred while we have been here.....two pulled in after us. One gentleman talked the entire time, one worked, and one went on what appears to be an hour break while ppl are sitting in the bay. Not impressed. BTW my husband has been a mechanic for 30+years. Please for my entertainment tell me why an oil change company is asking ppl to rev their car to 3000rpm on cold start....not a standard or recommended practice:/ just not impressed. Do better. Stopped in for an inspection- really quick and easy. We were only here maybe 15 minutes and we watched them get several cars through for oil changes. They were polite and friendly- even offering bottled water to everyone. Maybe we just caught them at a good time, but our experience was great! read more

Would give "0" stars if that was an option. Went in around 12:30PM on Saturday for a state inspection. Employee tells me that they have 3 cars ahead of me. I said "no problem, I'll just get it done later". He tells me that they open til 8PM and the inspector is in the rest of the day. I run a few errands and go out to eat and pull back in around 7:25PM. Same employee comes out and i tell him i need a state inspection. He tells me that they are closing shop and that I can come back tomorrow between 9-5. I ask about the inspector being there til 8PM and he tells me that he went home already. Don't advertise that you are opened til 8pm and then close your doors around 7:30PM. read more

I have been taking my vehicle here for years. they have had a change in personnel and the service has suffered. I was there today with my Chevy truck. Oil was changed as normal, they failed to check dip stick level until I asked to see the level. this used to be common practice. air filter checked but when reinstalling they lost one screw and failed to tighten a second, had 2 screw installed properly. failed to check tire pressure, clean windshield and refill washer fluid. however the statement said all was complete. after I asked about it they offered to do these task. I will never go back to this Take 5 location. I asked to speak to the manager of the two people on the floor, to my surprise he was one of the two I have complaints on. I had to wait an hour and a half and pay $95 for an oil change and left with a huge mess inside of my car's engine bay. I can't fathom how this was even possible. Wasn't even informed of a spill nor was there an attempt made to compensate me for this horrible mess. read more

I go for an inspection and the courteous helper comes out to tell me the inspector is not there. I go back the next morning and the courteous helper says only 10-2 and it's after 2. I go back the next day at noon and I'm told they only have one guy that can do it and he's at lunch for the next half hour. I come back an hour later at 1:15pm and am told the manager is the only person that can do it and he's in a meeting. This place just lost my business for good. That's not a good way to run a business. I'll drive another mile up the road to Burleson lube center where the manager is hilarious and awesome. I suggest you do the same. read more

The young man who greeted me (if it could be called a greeting) was rude. When I arrived I pulled in to find only one vehicle ahead of me. It was already in the bay with the hood up and three servicepersons working on it. I was ignored for several minutes until I approached the open bay. I heard a shout and was told to back up. He walked up to my window without saying a word, just stared at me. I said I wanted an oil change. He told me to open my hood, looked under there for a minute, then told me to pull into the bay. The name is terribly misleading. It took more than 5 minutes just to get into the bay, and then all 3 continued working on the first vehicle. 25 minutes later the one who greeted me finally opened the hood, then went underneath, Several minutes later he got on his computer and started asking questions: Mileage, what oil I wanted, then he wanted my name, address, phone, and email. I don't see why that is necessary, but he spent probably 10 minutes typing it all in. The he tells me I have a "major" oil leak. I know the old thing leaks oil, but it isn't major. I add a quart maybe every month. He says they will not change my oil because it might make the leak worse and they would be liable. He knew all of this before he spent the time entering all my information. Why did he need all of that if he was going to refuse service? I told him the leak wasn't as bad as he was describing. He rudely interrupted me. He seemed like he had a major attitude problem. I wasted over 40 minutes with this place and do not recommend them. Burleson Lube Center is about a mile away. The people there are customer oriented. They had no difficulty doing the job, and they did it quickly, professionally, and politely. read more

Do not take your car here!!!! Was just there last week to get the oil changed! After leaving my oil light did not go off, and my car was making a weird noise(like something was dragging). Took it to another location today, and my skid plate was halfway off because the stripped the screws... AND on top of that the oil was never changed!!! I had to repay to have my oil changed somewhere else... I wouldn't even give this place one star read more

Great place! I can't recommend them enough! Everyone is always so nice and courteous, and most importantly HONEST! I came in one time because me sticker said I was due for an oil change, but Cass looked at it and told me it was still good and that I could wait awhile before I changed it. I couldn't believe they would turn away a customer, especially during these difficult times, but they really care about their customers and they know we are struggling just as much as they are. I went back in today (it actually was needing to be changed this time) and Josh helped me this time, he not only was polite the whole while, but showed me something new! I have had this car for 5 years and take good care of it, I stay on top of my fluids and replace parts when they need it, but when Josh asked me when I replaced my cabin filter last, I had no idea what he was talking about! I change my air filter regularly, but I was never told I had a cabin filter! He opened the cover and leafs spilled out! I mean it looked like an animal nested in it, and I keep my car spotless! Low and behold it was a FACTORY installed filter, I'm not the first owner of this car so apparently I'm not the only one that didn't know it existed! Long story short, well, shorter, the Take 5 on alsbury really care and are super THOROUGH! First time told the guy who does them shows up whenever he wants, this was in the morning upon opening. went by again today and he's there but told no he can't do them because he's only allowed to do a few per day. i have been taking my cars here for years. When they changed to Take 5, I noticed the service wasnt great. The manager (I think his name was Josh) was great and always double checked things. I have noticed that since they have new management the service is awful. they don't check any fluids and run you through there like cattle. This past Saturday I was there. It was not busy at all. I had to ask them to check my air filter. The windshield wipers they put on we're not correct. They said the air compressor was broke so couldn't check air in tires. Then when I got home I not something hanging down under my car. It was the air filter cover. went back up there to get them to fix it. The young guy was very rude and said it's broke and handed me the part. i will never go back there. The price has went up and the service went down. read more
