I was hoping for better. I kept having to remind them that I only had 45 minutes - which was essentially 9 TIMES how long it should take according to their name. And, it wasn't like I was waiting in line. I was the only one there. Then, they told me I needed to flush out my coolant right away. If they had been more efficient I would have said yes. I didn't because they were too slow to do it. I had to get my registration renewed and wound up at Drivers Edge in SouthLake on Davis Blvd. They told me I had no coolant issue and there's a way to fake the test that implies you need this service. To recap. Tried to upsell me. Would have worked if they were actually closer to 5 minutes than 50... so thank you for being slow and inept?!? read more

Went in to get 2 oils changes on a 330i and 2002 Chevy tahoe before a trip back to work , and the engine on the Tahoe blew 3 hours into the trip. Went through claims and they did not want to help us out in any way . Do not bring your car here and spend your hard earned money . The Tahoe was in very good condition no problems and now has been sitting for most of the year . Now we're out 5 grand trying to get a new transmission. read more

It was bad enough before when there were more employees, now every time I've tried going it takes at least 2 hours before you get any service. Absolutely horrible! So I decided to take my truck in for an oil change while out of town (Temple, TX) and thought why not. Well after 4 days and I am back home I noticed my truck was leaking oil around the oil drain plug. Took truck to the nearest location and thought this is going to cost me more money. We'll leave it to Steven and Justice to make sure my truck was working and back in order. After inspection they found that the o-ring on the drain plug was flat and in need of replacement. New oil was put in my truck, washer fluid was topped off and I was sent on my way. Now that is the type of service that makes me want to come back and support the local businesses. Went in for an oil change and a coolant flush. After leaving the car continued to overheat. We brought it to another take 5 amd they explained that the system was not "burped". Now we are out of a vehicle because they are stating the thermostat may have failed. Talking with claims for the past 2 weeks and all they can do is"escalate". Talk about a completely different experience this time around. I arrived and waited inline...no big deal. 15-20 minutes. Was even offered water. When it was my turn to pull in to the bay the "associate" (who turned out to be the manager) guided me and screaming turn this way then turn that way you would have thought I was on a roller coaster. Super Unprofessional! As I pulled up, and quite frankly heard enough of his attitude I told him I was leaving and asked who the manager was...he exclaimed I am. Quick, friendly and professional. They also noticed the last mechanic to mess with my car didn't replace the bolts to the guard cover (that would be David McDavid Ford off 820). I took my 2018 Honda CRV in for an oil change. Here's what went wrong... 1. They did not check my tire pressures. I asked them to do so, and then was told that their pressure gauge was malfunctioning. 2. They told me my engine air filter was dirty, and took it out to show me. It was dirty, but I decided to decline and do the change myself and save $40. When I went to replace the filter, I noticed that three of the four screws holding the cover on on the air filter box were broken off. They used a impact driver to reinstall the screws, broke off the heads, and didn't say a word. 3. There is an engine shield on the bottom of the engine that needs to be removed then reattached when doing an oil change. They missed at least four screws that I can see, and used a wire tie in one of the missing holes. I am going to have to crawl under the car and fix this myself. Initially I was going to contact the company and ask them to fix these issues at another location. I called their support number and got a recording to leave a message. Then it gave me another message that the voice mail could not accept any further messages. I also tried to respond to their feedback form on the website, but it randomly reset and deleted all of my input, despite trying in three different web browsers. I would not recommend this location to anyone. Cost is comparable to the dealership, would rather go to them and not worry about my engine cover getting ripped off on the freeway from insufficient fasteners. read more

I will not take my car here again. I give it one star because they were able to get my car serviced during my lunch hour. This place was recommended by a coworker whom informed me of the military discount. Thinking I would save time & cash I went, little did I know my car would leak oil until my next oil change. I had to take my car to the dealership to stop the oil leak. I spoke to another military member whom stated they experienced the same oil leak problem & had to take their car to the dealership as well. Never going back. Visited after a very long time passed since my initial bad experience. 1st time, the air filter was improperly installed. Today was just a terrible experience overall. I stopped by yesterday to get my oil change/safety inspection done. Main reason I returned to this place was because of a coupon I had. I found out the woman who could do the inspection was not there. Fine,went back today. A trainee offered me water when I pulled up,only positive part of the experience. Had to wait a bit while the staff chose their responsibilities and vehicles to service. Oil change was fine. The staff failed to communicate I needed an inspection. The tech asked to see my insurance, and said she could not perform the inspection because my insurance card had the vin number smudged on the print. Fine,went and printed a new insurance card and came back. Same tech took my vehicle and drove around the parking lot to see if any service lights came on. Never had that happen before. Got it into the bay, took 20 minutes to check out the car and plug in the reader. Comes out and tells me my car has failed because my license plate light was out. I asked if she could fix it and get the whole ordeal over with. She said that it was impossible to do. She was not clear if it was because of TX law or just her own choice. Awful customer service. Did not address the matter any further as it seemed there would not be any satisfactory resolution. read more

As a parent, it makes a huge difference not having to get out and occupy my daughter in a waiting room. A lot of the time they offer water and have honest juice boxes for kids. They are fast, efficient. And worth that you pay a little more. But- if you check the website they almost always have coupons. They are the lowest hassle and no wait of anywhere I've gone in town so I keep going back. read more

My fiancé went into Take 5 oil change today to get an oil change on his truck. He caught them using a vacuum cleaner to suck out the oil instead of pulling the drain plug. Using a vacuum cleaner will damage your engine! He used to work at an oil change place so he knows how you're supposed to do it and was very unimpressed with the service and will not be returning to any Take 5 oil change location. I took the risk of getting my oil change here since I was new to the area and it was convenient. After getting my oil change I thought everything was perfect. MISTAKE!! A few weeks later my check engine light comes on. I brought my car to another oil change place and they informed me my oil was almost dangerous low, and to take it to the place I got it done. I go back to Take 5 and informed the staff of what the other oil change place said. Whoever was in charge that day apologized checked my car and discovered the filter was very loose. Also, they informed me the person who did my oil change is no longer there. I trusted them to fix my oil change a second time. My check engine came on again a few more weeks later. At this point I was just about had it. I took my car to a company I normally go to check it out. They informed me that now my oil was 2.5 quarts over where it was suppose to be. I had to go back and forth to justify with the district manager for 30 minutes on why I needed a refund for them almost destroying my engine twice. He stated that they are "trying" to do there best and would not even admit or apologize for his mechanics mistakes. I expect if I pay you my hard earn money you shouldn't be "trying" but know what you're doing. I will not be returning to this place!!!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! Manager said I was going get a refund in the mail. Never got it! So, he lied on top of everything I went through. read more

There were 4 techs during the time of my visit. The time and efficiency was badly reflected on the computer. I went in for a routine oil change and I wasn't notified that it was going to take an entire hour to do an hour change. If I knew prior to this, I would of came back at a later time. It was until the manager came in to help the techs with the service. If the tech didn't have the capability of performing the routine oil change then I should of been notified ahead of time. Never again!the last time my wife got her oil changed was at take 5 in Saginaw tx. today when I changed the oil on her car it was almost impossible to get off the filter. I don't know what They used to put the filter on last but when I took it off this time it broke so now I have to replace the piece used that holds the filter. read more

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Makes me wonder why all other places take so long for an oil change. From the moment I drove up the service was amazing. I was offered a water and he gave a breakdown of different oils and why (I needed. No one ever does that. I thought it was something I should just know about so I just always choose whatever they say). I loved that I didn't have to get out of my car. The techs communication was great. Not only did they communicate with me but they called out to each other, what they were doing and safety stuff. I have never had a preferred place for an oil change but I do now. overpriced and timely! took over 15 minutes to get an attendant to come greet us and another 15 minutes maybe more to change the oil. charged 107.00, had to sit in a hot car, and forgot to change out the sticker for next oil change. Refused to do the oil i change i asked for because it wasnt the right weight. I wanted me to do their 99 dollar oil change instead of 75 dollar. I told them to put in 0w20, they refused. They said the car only takes 0w16. I asked what weight their more expensive oil change was and they said 0w16. I asked them to show me, it was 0w15. Never going back to these scammers. read more
