Before writing this review, I read the other ones, and I can't speak for anybody else's experience but I WILL speak on MY experience and give my upmost honest review. We first arrived and Eric greeted us, very welcoming and friendly. Felt like I was talking to a friend, and no more than a minute later, he told Killian the mechanic and in less than a second, immediately went to check our car, with no questions asked. This for me, was an AMAZING experience, not just because they charged us half what others would for their service, but because of Killians work-ethic in getting straight to the job. I love to see anybody love what they do, and when I seen Killian get to work, I knew this man would get the job done. I am ONLY going here from here on out, and I couldn't recommend coming here enough. GREAT service, and I wish I had more to show my gratitude, but I hope this reaches whoever looks at this, and appreciates the love an individual can have in their craft. Dropped off car for an oil change and inspection. Walked over to Wendy's and took my time having lunch. After 20-30 mins at Wendy's a walked back to kwik kar to pickup car.. They hadn't started yet. They waited for me to get back to even start. I guess they do this so they can try to sell you the air filter at huge markup. read more

Horrible experience. I was charged more than DOUBLE what my car dealership would've charged me ($184 vs. $80-85) for an oil change. Absolutely ridiculous and when I asked why it was so expensive I was talked down to and treated as if I was in the wrong for asking. I will never be back and have learned convenience of not going to the dealership isn't worth the overcharging this shop does! AVOID THIS PLACE! I came in for just a quick state inspection for my 2022 Toyota RAV4 I was told my car didn't pass "Because of a sensor issue" that it must have been loose, I Was told they tightened it and to come back the next day to redo it. Which I did, only to be told by Sam that "oh no they had told me wrong the day before and that actually it failed because of a dirty air filter" Now you know what's next! Sam told me "you need a new air filter" Now Sam proceeds to take out my engine air filter, my in cabin air filter and tell me they are both dirty and this is why I got a fail on my inspection. ( they aren't that dirty, I change them regularly.) Then he tells me I need a brake fluid flush, that it's past time to do this and that it should've been done at 40,000 miles. etc etc it keeps going. Then I say put the filters back in so I can leave. He then sprays my engine sensor w/brake cleaner , goes around and hands me a PASS inspection paper now. Now my car is running rough. Almost sounds like it's in N when push the gas. I went in yesterday for an Emissions test so that I could renew my vehicle registration and had one of the best experiences with a vehicle maintenance facility in 20+ years. Most experiences are average with nothing to brag about regarding service or quality. Kwik Kar was quick and very professional. I was expecting to be there an hour (and even dreaded being there longer) but I was out in 20 min. I entered the waiting room of the Kwik Kar on White Settlement Road in White Settlement, Texas for an inspection and a customer was complaining about some poor service he had received which should have been a warning for me but I went ahead and gave them my information and keys to my truck and was told I was third on the waiting list. Well, 40 minutes later and four carrs serviced, they were going to run another vehicle ahead of me that had just pulled up, I complained about being left out of the rotation Their excuse was that we were under staffed! I went to get an inspection done. They told me there were two cars in front of me. Those cars were handled and then after over an hour, another car went was done, on the next one I went out and ask the tech why my car was not being done. He responded that his boss told him to do this car. So, I got my keys and found a much better place to do business down Whitesettlement road. New Management from the past. I have been a customer for about 17 years. If not a new owner, at least a new manager. I am pleased with the competition down the road and will never stop here again for anything. Visited this place this morning 1/21/23) for Inspection and oil change. Lady informed me that vehicle inspection cannot be performed bc vehicle is showing "check engine" and "Maint. required" sign. She suggested to get diagnostic run for $120. We decided to get oil change only. It is always Full Synthectic ow20. Walmart charges $56 and Quik Lube $54. I was charged $102.73 for oil change to 2013 Toyota Corolla. Charges: $ 52.95 - Full Service oil change. $ 34.00 - Synthetic Upcharge $ 1.00 - Shop Fee. When I asked for explanation: answer as below: (1) don't compare us to Walmart they are big we are small. (2) This is full service oil change, all our oil change service is full service. But you never asked or informed me of this Full Service BS. About Full Service: did not clean the spilled oil on the engine. Steering and seat has greasy hands all over. Wind shield washer empty. This is a small amount, I will be over it. But your dishonesty, greed and stupidity? SAD and Sorry! They told me it would be a 35 minute wait, but I left after waiting 1-1/2 hours and I saw the mechanic doing the inspections close his tool box and leave for lunch. I go there annually for an oil change and state inspection on a vehicle that isn't driven a lot. I usually to call and see how busy they are before I go. They took care of me in a timely fashion and did a good job. The personnel have always been friendly to me. One of the most unprofessional car maintenance shops in White Settlement. They overcharge on part prices and labor costs. DO NOT GO HERE. The fun part about them is that they seem genuine shop over the phone, but that facade drops when you get to the actual shop. The mechanics smell like weed, are rude to your face, complain about helping customers, and are overall unaccommodating. It's like they want to be somewhere else instead of at the shop. Also they don't keep their word on hours. They told me to pick my car up by 5:00 PM Saturday (A day that I usually work til 5:00 PM). I got off early today, but apparently they closed down at 4:30 and said I couldn't take my car home because they decided to leave early. Went to receive my yearly inspection and oil change and they first told me they no longer do regular oil at all it is only synthetic... so i told them never mind about an oil change and then they took my car back for an inspection and the guy started naming random things involved in the inspection and slipped in i was missing a lug-nut and that i could either "get failed and bring one back" or "buy one here for 6.99" I've had no issues with this car the past 6 years when getting an inspection but i guess i randomly do today. read more

I've been taking my cars to this location for a few years and have never had an issue. I drive high-end cars so I just get them inspected here--no other services. Yesterday, I asked my husband to get his car inspected there and within a few minutes I received a message from LoJack (Sure Drive) that there was "no power" detected. I called the business immediately and was told that the battery is not disconnected during the inspection, which made sense. I then contacted LoJack who confirmed that a sensor was disconnected and that it was inside the car next to the hood latch. Sure enough, after my husband returned I located the disconnected sensor. Apparently, the mechanic pulled on the wrong "handle" in an attempt to open the hood and managed to disconnect a key sensor and did not bother to snap it back in. This was a bit sloppy in my opinion and should not have happened. One star was deducted for this mistake but I plan to return since they are otherwise efficient and capable. read more

Went in for an oil change as I've done many times in the past. There was nobody in the shop and nobody in the office. Waited a few minutes until two guys came out from around back with a football in their hand. Asked for an oil change... confirmed Synthetic 016 oil. Checked out and the invoice said 020 oil... I questioned it and they said it's just their system, but they used 016 oil. Got to my car and 020 oil was on the sticker also... no idea what they actually used, but googled it and 020 is ok every now and then so didn't complain. Car smelled like weed after I got back in it. I imagine that's why nobody was in the office when I arrived. Fast forward to the next day and my husband drove the vehicle to Stephenville. When he arrived, the bottom of the car was scraping the ground. I guess a screw was left off of the bottom of the oil changing access panel (as my husband explained it). Anyway, not normally one to complain. The guys were nice enough but if I was an owner I would want to know how my business was being run. Daughter's boyfriend went to this location based on my recommendation. He went for a state inspection, wiper blades, and some topoff. They would not take his verhicle in nor give him an eta on when they could get to it. While waiting to get the ETA they skipped him over for a dually that pulled up after he did and gave them immediate service. Well, I've been there quite a few times for our 3 current vehicles plus others in the past. That will be the last time for our family if that's gonna be the treatment. read more

Went in for an oil change. Although I had my last oil change there, the guy lied and said they didn't have any oil filters for my car and that no one had them. "Sorry," he said. Went across the street. They said that was a lie, plus they told me who'd we did my last oil change, Kwik Car, stripped the screw so I'd be best off having them fix it. When I went back, magically he was able to find the oil filter. He fixed the screw but wouldn't replace the oil and recycled my old oil back in. *Do not do business with them* read more

I wish I could give negative stars! DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! I initially thought I was getting great service--SOOOOOO wrong!! I drove in with my daughter's vehicle because it had started to shudder. The told me the boots on the ignition coil had gone bad and needed to be replaced along with the spark plugs. Okie dokie-$338 dollars later I was back on the road back to Dallas. Next day on my daughter's drive back to Fort Worth same issue started with the shuddering. I had to rent a vehicle to get to her since I am just visiting, and took the car elsewhere as we were worried about taking it back to this place. After the new repair shop looked at the car they showed us the ignition coil. Three sockets were clean the 4th was corroded and that was still causing the misfiring. I needed a whole new ignition coil-and they told me the plugs the other shop put in were inferior to what he would recommend. Ignition coil comes with boots so what I paid for the day before was useless along with the spark plugs So now almost $500 in repairs, a second set of new spark plugs (BTW the platinum spark plugs were cheaper than what they put in at this location), and the cost of a rental vehicle we were good to go. I did call this location to speak to a manager and he remembered the situation and said -sorry about that-I tried to clean that port as best I could. WHY was I not given the option to have a new igintion coil installed or try to clean the port and see if that worked. I feel taken advantage of-like he knew I would have to come back because this wouldn't work. So I paid twice for boots and twice for spark plugs and labor. This place is a RIPOFF and a JOKE!!!!! I will NEVER go back to this location and would highly recommend that you avoid it like the plague!! STAY AWAY!!!!!!! I read more

This location needs to be shut down. The manager Chris is a liar and will not pay for damages that his shop causes to customer vehicles. He refuses to accept responsibility, but instead will come on yelp and LIE about how a situation was a customers own fault even once they've posted photos and proof. Sadly, once his staff damages your vehicle you're told that once it's taken off property he will not be held responsible. HOWEVER, while on property he still doesn't hold himself responsible and refuses to right his wrong. What a joke. Wen't back here a few weeks back. This particular day the oil change was super quick, maybe 10 minutes which was fantastic. The down side is they do try and upsale with things that aren't really necessary. They offered to replace my cabin filter which didn't need to be changed. They also told me I needed to to get an engine flush performed next time I'm there as my oil had gotten dark... this is ridiculous as the vehicle is 1 year old and I use synthetic oil and change as required. I stopped going to Kwik Kar years ago because they always Because they told me my transmission had metal filing and needed to be taken care of immediately. Funny things the story changed real fast after they found out the car only had 3000 miles on it and I said taking it back to the dealer. They said they must have had a bad reading. Never went back until today for a inspection where they ripped me off for two ten dollar light bulbs. And a lady sitting neat by was told a oil change was 49.00 and they changed her $108. It is a real shame we have these kind of businesses around. read more

Chris, I have overwhelming footage of what happened a year ago to contradict your response to my review. I will update my post with images and we'll let the public dictate. I will also respond to your comment. 1) the truck did not come in with a check engine light on. The check engine light came on at your shop after the fuel filter was replaced. Lets not forget that the truck did not start at your shop. The image depicting you pouring fuel from my old filter into the new one was your last attempt on trying to prime the system to get it to start. 2) I left your shop near closing time and drove straight home with a buzzing noise coming from under my truck. Keep in mind that I only live about three miles from your shop. The following morning the truck hesitated to start, so I decided to take it back to your shop. I made a quick stop at AutoZone to find out why my check engine light was on, low fuel pressure was the problem! I arrived at your shop to only hear you blame a faulty lift pump that you requested I go to Ford and get it replaced under warranty. After letting you try to convince me that the lift pump was the issue, I pull out my results from AutoZone and the back paddling began. After showing you my results, you agreed to exchanging the filter you previously installed with new ones. My truck did NOT start after that. 3) you and your staff pushed my truck out of your shop and neglected to provide tow service. I had the truck towed to Ford at my expense. 4) Ford tech called and stated that the fuel filter housing was cracked. I then requested you to meet me at Ford. You weren't able to meet that same day, but decided to make a surprise visit without me present the following morning. They pointed out the issue in which you still denied wrong doing. They replaced the fuel filter housing and new fuel filters. Since then the truck hasn't had an issue with the fuel system. read more
