Failed my 2021 Tundra because I would not buy their 2 $25 each Wiper blades. Pass or fail they still charge you their fee. Before my decline for their wiper blades the tech told me that's all I needed but when I declined their upsale they now claim somthing else failed now. I'm done with all take 5 locations they are inconsistent between Helotes and prue you can never count getting a inspection, either machine is down or the one person who does inspection isn't in till 11:30. On Black Friday we went to Take 5 Oil change #0197 on Bandera rd. Our experience was fantastic! Lee, Danny, Jesus, and Gabriel were all friendly, funny, nice & FAST! I was blown away. Most oil change operations leave you feeling lackluster. Not Take 5. Beat Oil change in 40 years. My mother even said, wow -- I wish we had them were I lived. Showed up 15 minutes before they close For oil change and inspection and they turned my business away and said " They still had to clean up, come back tomorrow". Pah, Unbelievable! So much for 10 min. Oil change. I'm sure the owner wouldn't be happy to find out this location is turning down revenue to get off early. I took my 2013 VW Passat that I had recently purchased into Take 5 Oil Change in Helotes, Texas back in April for an oil change and was also recommended a coolant flush. Afterwards my transmission went out. I have been told by both the VW dealership and an outside service dept that the service was done incorrectly and caused the transmission to go out. Take 5 has to this date failed to remedy the situation and the legal dept has been non responsive. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE THEY ARE HORRIBLE. I took my truck in to get an oil change. The gentlemen there looked carefully at my current oil and noticed there was still good use in it. They recommended I had another 1500 miles before it needed changing. I have never had someone changing my oil that was so honest. I will definitely be coming back to them in 1500 miles! I've only ever dealt with companies that have only cared about money and tried to shame me for going over the mileage on the sticker. This company cares about doing the job right. I am very thankful! Today I went to this location for a state inspection for my registration- the staff was kind, friendly, thorough and offered me a bottled water as well for free. The whole process took no longer than about 10 minutes. Will definitely come here again when I h need an oil change. Thanks! read more

Great concept! Better to wait in your own car while they do service.. Better than dirty waiting room with loud tv... Allowed me time to "take 5" in my busy day and get something done...I brought a breakfast taco from Jalapenos to keep me occupied! read more

Terrible experience today. Went in for inspection and oil change. Was brought into bay and a kid started doing inspection. He gets to wipers and wipers are functioning well but left a small streak on driver side of windshield. Kid then says he is gonna fail me. I state it's not that bad and doesn't block my vision at all. Tech then rubs wiper on end w his thumb making it worse. He again tells me it will fail and says he can replace wipers. I refuse and he then says it will be $7. I tell him I'm not paying $7 for his skewed view of my wipers. He then threatens to put me on list so I can't get inspected anywhere else. I start to drive away as he mockingly says, I'm gonna get ur license in a childish voice. It took all I had to drive away and not go back and regret his decision to mock me. I researched them and have learned they can't go more than 3 cars without selling you something. Makes sense why he acted like he did. Go elsewhere. Save your time. read more

Three stars for the convenience (you stay in your car during service) and service but it's the most I've ever paid for an oil change. $105 WITH a $10 off coupon. Personally, I don't think the convenience is worth that. read more
