I've used Take 5 for a while. I typically use them because they offer a 25% discount for veterans, and that often ends up being a better discount than any of their coupons. I also think it's a nice touch that they give their customers a bottle of water and the price point is the same as anywhere else. I used this location on Cassat for the first time last week for my oil change. The service techs were plentiful and even though they were crowded, they seemed to moving cars in and out quickly. The main tech working on my car was very polite. Once I got home though, I realized that I had to reset my oil sensor myself along with the tire pressure. A day later, I realized that my windshield washer fluid was not filled either. These are all just services that are included and weren't done. Am I done with Take 5? Probably not, but I'm hoping this can be constructive input that they work to correct for next time. read more

Went to Take 5 Oil Change on Cassett Avenue for the first time. Everyone was very friendly and thorough. The technician explained everything they were doing and even showed me the oil dipstick level after the service was completed. The 2014 Volkswagen Beetle takes Mobile 1 full synthetic oil and they have what the car needed. I also found a coupon online and showed it to them and they honored it. This establishment prides itself on a "quick" oil change when every time I have to come to this location because my jobs fleet is tied to take 5. I dread coming to them as it's always an hour minimum while I watch the techs trying to upcharge and upsell people as they see there is a line growing behind them. Then a black guy with a red beard came and asked what I needed as I was going to leave, I told him and he said pull up, filled my tires, and then put new tire caps on them and then told me to keep my tip. They drained my transmission fluid on accident and said they would refill it while changing my engine oil. I left in deployment and when I came back, I was having transmission issues, turns out they put gear fluid in my trans and destroyed my transmission. It'll cost about 4,800, and they told me sucks to suck. Never go here unless you have lawyer money. read more

They broke my oil filter housing on my newly purchased pre-owned Toyota Highlander. I was recommended to get a premium oil change (one of the higher packages for oil changes, which is not necessary but preferred) so I went ahead and paid for it. They gave me a receipt showing the work that was "already done" and put a new mileage sticker on my windshield. They proceeded to have 3 people try to get the oil filter housing cover off to perform the oil change but no one could get it. After the 3rd technician went under my car to try, there was a huge pop. The tech came out from under the car yelling at me about how he broke his tool because the cover was so tight and pushed the broken tool in my face so I could see he wasn't lying. I was given no choice but to take a full refund and was suggested to take the car back to who did service on it before, which was the dealership I bought it at. I took it to the dealership today and they found that it wasn't JUST the tool that the technician at Take 5 had broken, it was also the teeth of my oil filter housing unit that broke. I have to call the manager of Take 5 tomorrow to see what they're willing to do to correct the issue and will update this review accordingly, but I definitely would not suggest taking any car here. EDIT: I've called 4 times, twice to this specific location and twice to the corporate customer care number. I've had to leave messages all 4 times and my calls have not been returned. However, my friend went to the 103rd location of take 5 the day after I went to this location and we were discussing our experiences. Apparently they also messed up something with his oil filter as it's leaking oil now too...seems to be more wrong with this company than just the people they hire... read more

Shop manager hires a bunch of kids who are uneducated and rude. They tried to charge me $250 for a radiator flush even though I just got one. SCAMS. Don't go here don't trust these people. I paid $70 dollars for an oil change and 4 days later I see puddles of oil under my car. Oil drain plug was loose enough to where I could move it with my fingers. Oil was spilled all over my engine bay, and my receipt shows that they checked and filled the air in my tires. I just got a tpms light and had a tire at 22 PSI. Called the store as well as the customer service number to contact a manager and no one will answer to help resolve this issue. Not happy read more

Do NOT come here unless you want bigger issues with your car! Never again will I step foot in a take 5 (sadly because it's convenient). They took my battery cover off while looking for the oil cap they misplaced and FORGOT TO PUT IT BACK ON so it fell deep into the engine body and BURNED ONTO my exhaust pipe. I smelled burning plastic for days until I realized something was wrong, took it to a mechanic, and he pointed out the problem. I walked in to speak to a manager and he pulled up the video footage play by play of what happened. Good thing it was on camera because he was indifferent to believing me. This experience became time consuming and inconvenient, and DANGEROUS. I will give the manager on duty credit that he immediately made it right by cleaning my exhaust, replacing the battery cover, giving me a refund, and a free oil change. Which is laughable thinking I'd be coming back. Despite his due diligence, this never should have happened in the first place and could've escalated. read more

This is my go-to place for Wednesday Ladies Day Oil Change. The price is $18.99 plus tax. They are really friendly here and very fast. Yes, it's a fact that they always try to up-sell you on something and this time I did get new wiper blades installed and everything for about twenty more dollars. Either way, I now I needed them and time-wise it was worth it for me. They offer you a free bottled water inside to drink while you wait and this last time they were so fast, by the time I opened my water my car was finished. Today was my first time at a Take 5. Stopped by to get my oil and wiper blades changed before a road trip. I know my car needs more than just an oil change so I went in willing to pay for pretty much whatever they were offering. John was my tech--Very chill guy, talked me through the whole process. Ended up getting air filters changed as well as tires and fluids topped off. Including the wait for my turn, I was in and out in less than an hour. With my coupon, it ended up being a pretty sweet deal. They even washed my windshield at the end. Would recommend and am very likely to continue doing business with them. I have to take my city vehicle here for an oil change as it's under contract. I don't know where the name "Take Five" come from as it has taken as little as 30 minutes and up to 90 to get an oil change at this location. There are specific tasks the employees are supposed to do to the vehicle and I have to show the manager the email from City fleet where it outlines what added tasks are to be done. After I inform the manager then they do it. I even had one manager tell me that they don't perform the other tasks at that location such as checking the tires, lubricant the chassis, checking cabin air filter, test horn, etc. I used to bring my personal vehicle here but after last week's fiasco I'll phone a friend to help me as I am partially disabled. read more

I love this place! They greet you and offer a water or capri sun if there are children. They direct you in, scan your vin and put your info into their computers so they remember you and can keep track. They check and fill all your fluids, check your air in tires, your filters which they will change if you need (for a charge). They are very efficient, very professional and fantastic! When I have my oil changed I prefer to use my own oil and filter because I've had bad experiences with other places, last time they changed my oil there was no problem this time after waiting a half hour in line when it was my turn they tell me that I can't use it any more be cause they're manager would not allow it. Kennard was pleasant, professional and I appreciated the upselling without being overly aggressive. They topped off all my fluids, checked my tires and filters at no extra charge. Kennard & Jon both let me know that I can stop in at anytime for a fluid and tire pressure check at no charge as well now. I went to the newly opened Take 5 Oil Change. The gimmick of Take 5 is a strange one. You stay *IN* your car while the oil change happens. I am not sure who this appeals to but there are several locations around town so maybe some people like it. What I experienced was waiting in "line" for ten minutes while sitting in my car with the air conditioning running. After waiting so long I didn't want to drain my battery and my gas any longer so I turned my car off and rolled down my windows. Of course then I have to smell all the weird chemicals and deal with the Florida heat and humidity. People like to do this? The car in front of me was still being serviced but after ten minutes I decided to leave. I had expected a sit INSIDE with air conditioning while my car was being serviced while reading a book. Why would I want to wait in my car draining my gas, battery, and smelling all these chemicals? I don't get it. The staff there were VERY friendly, however, and one of the men gave me an cold water bottle to drink while I wait. That was the only positive experience from today. read more

I clearly and plainly stated to the first young man that greeted me I ONLY wanted the oil and filter changed. I specifically requested the cabin filters NOT be removed. He acknowledged this. Then hounded his up-sale efforts twice. Your second employee disregarded all of the first conversation and brought all filters inside to again hound me. When I said no only want oil and filter changed he decided to arbitrarily yell out to the tech to not top off any fluids or nothing, probably his way of penalizing me. So the net result of my visit today was oil and possibly a new oil filter (however I am fearful that as well was probably ignored as a result of this entire experience) for 40.65. I also find it interesting in previous visits the young lady at the desk proactively applied discounts to my bill even when I have forgotten the VIP card. Their spiel is to sell everything they can to you and act like your a dumb ass because you wont pony up 500 in stuff you don't need..I just want my oil changed. I didn't ask to look in my radiator, remove differential plugs, look at my fuel filters air filters etc.. My differential had "sludge that it didn't have mysteriously when I was there two months prior. When I got home I noticed a large greasy hand print on my freshly cleaned and waxed hood.. Nice. I called to complain to the "manager" who basically said it comes with the oil change..If I'm to lose your business over that then we didn't need it.. Well you wont ever get it again and its a 140$ diesel oil change bud. I once had my house painted and didn't have any paint hand prints on the trim or bricks!.. Stay away. I arrive and the young lady was having trouble lifting the door for me to enter so she/he motioned for me to stop. She then gives me the signal to come in and as soon as I did, she proceeded to give me a rude look and looked over at her coworkers and said something,so as soon as I pulled in I rolled down my window as asked what did she say( I had already read her lips). Her coworkers gave a sarcastic answer because Im sure they did not expect me to catch the unprofessional behavior. So the manager JEFF comes over and instead of apologizing he is more focused on me "cursing". I told him I wasnt cursing at anyone just as the situation and asked if someone else could help me. They will tell u whole bunch of wrong stuff with your car and make sure you at least tell them one thing to repair and boom the next thing u know the bill is 100$. They fill low fluid levels for no charge when you get your oil changed and even after your oil change. Friendly staff, they offer water while you wait.
