I stopped by here at 730am for a quick oil change before work. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes! There was one other person also getting an oil change while I was there. The place was clean, organized, and well taken care of. Leon and Chris were the two people who helped me and they were fantastic. They were both super helpful, patient, and quick! As a young woman, finding a car place that I feel 100% comfortable at isn't common, but Chris and Leon being able to explain everything they were doing and what it all meant made it a great experience. I always fear that I'll get talked into things since I don't know anything about cars, but they seemed very trustworthy. The prices are all displayed so you know exactly what you'll be paying. 10/10 customer service and I highly recommend stopping by here if you're in the area. read more

Destroyed my engine - avoid this place! I went to Take 5 Oil Change expecting a routine service. Instead, they broke my engine. Whether it was over-tightening the oil plug, failing to refill the oil properly, or something else--they completely ruined my vehicle. I now have a massive repair bill and no reliable transportation. They refused to take responsibility. Stay far away unless you want a destroyed engine and no accountability. read more

(To their credit, the tech showed me how to reset it myself in the menu.. a feature of newer models.. not the old). read more

Have never seen my splash guard fall off before, was dragging on the road immediately after my oil change. Called, took a while to get through the corporate to the direct location, first service member had no clue what I was reporting. Told to return to fix they'd determine if they were "at fault" and replace or reattach if they could. Returned and they didn't allow me ahead of the now 3 cars waiting in line, to fix the problem they created. Would not recommend coming here. read more

I've been coming here for years, and they've never finished my oil change in less than hour. Honestly, it's crazy how long it takes. I think it's because they're understaffed, so it's not really the employees' fault. It's overpriced, but they do offer good discounts if you call ahead or check their website before going. They'll fill your tires and top off your oil for free between services, which is a nice perk. If it didn't take so long, I would recommend it. They also don't offer water or snacks or anything like most oil change places. I'm assuming because it's supposed to be fast. read more

Employee stated my car needed 6.5 qts oil which was correct. She then put in 8 qts of oil. She wiped stick on her shirt and checked/wiped 25-30 more times. Did she think that would remove the excess? Someone else drained enough off to put me in a "safe range". I will never ever go to this location again. The other take 5 on beach blvd is great. read more

I just left TAKE 5 at 8539 Beach BLVD, Jacksonville, FL 32216, but did not purchase an oil change!  The bay that is closest to the office is the only bay they would use and my F150 (not a monster) cannot make that turn.  No amount of 3-pt turns would result in my truck fitting without damaging my vehicle.  I asked politely if we could use another bay (the other 2 bays had cones blocking the entrance) and was told they wanted to use the 1st bay.  I said, OK, I will go somewhere else and they waved.  I watched the car ahead of me do the same thing except he was extremely angry.  Your employees don't give a hoot about your business and I'm sure you're in business to lose money, right? I was forced to go elsewhere and if I ever go back to TAKE 5, it will NEVER be the location on Beach BLVD.  Complete waste of my time. read more

Superior service is unmatched. Best experience I have ever had getting my oil changed. I pulled in at 5:32 PM and was able to be out by 5:42 PM. I was given instructions to pull the car up to the bay and they walked me through every single thing they did. Never felt intimidated as I was well-informed with everything they were looking at in my car during the process. Very grateful for this amazing staff! No hidden prices, everything is in front of you. After expressing that I never get my oil change done and usually let my husband do it, Iris was very personable and extremely professional. She took the time to educate me on the different types of oil. Overall, the convenience of never having to step out of the car was already a winner for me. But the fact that they not only did they do my oil change but also did a quick check of my filter, tires, low fluids with phenomenal customer service in such a short amount of time is incomprehensible. I can't believe I didn't know about this place sooner. I highly recommend this place. read more

The idea of a quick in-and-out oil change is a complete fantasy at this place. On two different occasions I left before being serviced on account of waiting in a small line for about 45 minutes. Today, the 2nd time I left without being serviced, I had one vehicle in the bay in front of me. So that driver spent at least 45 minutes on service, alone. Fearing I would spend another 45 minutes at Take 5, (and having no idea how much longer I'd have to wait in line), I left and went down the road to a competitor and was serviced in 20 minutes flat. At this point the brand has lost favor with me. read more

Can here today and was greeted with someone bringing us waters while we waited. We were told it was going to be a little wait it did seem like they only had 3 people which was fine. Once we pulled into the bay everyone was very nice and informative. They even replaced my tire valve caps for free, which I didn't know was apart of the service! Once the oil was changed they gave us a top off on wiper fluid and even cleaned the windshield for me! These guys were great and very nice, the best part is you don't have to get out of the car! There's one car getting their oil changed, five employees on site and nobody is offering to help us out as we are waiting for direction for at least five minutes. We were leaving they looked at us confused and we said no one is helping after five minutes and they said well this guy is. We ended up leaving because we prefer spending our money at places that provide premium customer service. read more

Never coming here again. I understand staff shortage during these times, but this is ridiculous. I show up yesterday and they say hour wait with only 2 cars ahead of me. I come back the next day 30 minutes before they open at 10AM. No one shows until 10:15. I pull in and he says the 2 workers didn't show and it is his off day. I come to take ( often for my oil change and use many different locations but this one is extremely slow and should hire more people to accommodate the flow of cars the allow in. Other than that they do great work and I always use Take 5 because lol truth is I'm lazy and I don't even have to get out of my car to get the oil changed. They changed my oil four times and on the fifth visit they told me my oil pan screw was stripped. No one else had touched my oil pan but them. Beach Blvd branch in Jacksonville FL. They denied they had stripped the screw but it had a new oil pan when I went there the first time and only they had changed the oil in my vehicle. No one else could have done it. Crooks. read more

Amazing first experience at Take 5 and this location. People need to realize they offer a service and a convenience when balking at the pricing structure. You don't have to make an appointment, you don't have to leave your car and you don't usually have to wait long at all. Could I have done this myself cheaper (yes and I usually do) but isn't that the case for most things? The service I received from Chris and Ortchild were nothing short of 5 stars. Take 5 oil change advertises quick oil changes but I just sat for almost 40 minutes waiting to get pulled into a bay for an oil change. While sitting waiting on my turn all of the tech took turns being valet service and I was asked twice to move up 2 feet. So how about instread of hiring valet service tech and hirer oil change tech? The entire time I was there they only complained 2 oil changes. No managment. read more

So I was in urgent need of an oil change. I just moved to Jacksonville a few months ago and my oil changes were done by my car dealer; Hyundai in Miami. Sadly the two "Hyundia'" places I found near me had bad reviews. So I decided to find another place and had the wonderful pleasure of picking what will now be my new spot for oil changes. The team did an excellent job. It was drive thru service so that part was different for me but extremely convenient. All of those complaints about waiting hours wasn't an issue for me. They took me in right away, Christopher who greeted me and was my "hood/quality check" person was pretty funny, knowledgeable and nice. . Josh was underneath executing whatever is done in that part of the car . So the AC filter which I didn't even know existed, Christopher showed me where it was and how filthy it was. It was the original filter! Great team! A bit pricier than I expected but I needed all of it done and I don't mind paying for quality as long as I am not getting jipped or played. Also found out something new about my car it has a extra air filter I had no clue about behind my glove department it was so dirty and filled with leaves!!! How bout the 5 minute oil change place quoted me like 95$ for a simple synthetic oil change as I was rolling up I asked what it cost. When he told me I didn't even stop rolling I turned the wheel and said nah I'm good. When did a simple oil change become $95. How I did not want this to be my 150th review. Paid for a full synthetic oil change but I find it very odd that they give you a 3000 mile sticker with Full Synthetic. I mean how do you really know they are using that type of oil in your car? Why does the dealership give a 10000 mile sticker? The receipt does not even state full synthetic, just some confusing oil type code. read more

Just spoke to someone named Iris at this location. She told me she couldn't give me a price for an oil change without seeing the vehicle in person. Which was very confusing so I asked if their system doesn't let you lookup a vehicle's oil specs and then she hung up on me. Very poor representation on customer service you ask me. read more
