I use various locations for this chain around town but typically use this location the most as close to my work. Always love being greeted with a bottle of water. On this most recent visit especially pleased with Josh and Anthony who gave me great service. They were extremely attentive especially given I hit them an hour before closing on a Friday. I always appreciate that they will note needed service but they never really push and hard sell for extras. i got here for an oil change and was told they only took cash and 2 other cars drove off before me then i was told they take card. Im not sure why the would say cash only and still take me. i then proceeded for my oil change, i got here at 12:20 and its now 1pm they were under my car messing with it and doing gods know what. there were 2 other cars with an oil change and they both left before me. the team here is honestly terrible. if you need an oil change dont go to this location instead go to the location thats off dezavla the team there is amazing! read more

Great place to get your state inspection. There was a bit of a line but the guy came to my car and did most of the inspection while I was waiting. They noticed I was low on windshield wiper fluid so he topped me off for free. Very friendly and speedy. Definitely coming back to get it done since they only charge $7, unlike the stand alone stations. read more

Take5.shop405 For all parties involved, After returning to Take 5 today 05/23/2024 to have my regular oil change, I was extremely dissatisfied with the quality of the services. The Technician informed me that some screws were missing from the oil access cover. I want to explain,I had to return to take 5 after my last service because the access cover fell off, which indicates that the previous serviceman didn't properly replace the access panel, resulting in missing screws. During the inspection of my air filter, the technician did not secure the fasteners after inspecting them. The hood support bar was not properly secured to its bracket by your technician and oil was left in the engine bay after checking the oil level. Despite being a loyal customer and having my daughters bring their cars to Take 5 Garage for servicing, my decision to stop doing any further business with your company will be based on today's service. I also took pictures, if you're interested in seeing them. I sent this in a email to that location and have not heard back from them yet,considering the price of the Oil change they should at the very least provide you with quality service. read more

I visited the Take 5 Oil Change in Helotes on Oct 27th. I drove into the bay and had to get towed out of the bay, when they severely damaged my vehicle. The technician, while attempting to refill the engine with new oil, dropped a metal screw into the funnel and down inside the engine. Why he had a metal screw is beyond any rational thought. But they couldn't get it out and had no system in place on what to do. They wanted to push it out of the bay and leave it there. I had to call my auto insurance and request a tow truck and take it to ford dealership. Now almost 4 days later no one has reached out to me to discuss how they're going to fix my vehicle. Do not take you vehicle to Take 5 Oil. OMG read more

Easy and fast! This was my first ever experience at a place where you stay in your car the entire oil change process. It was definitely something new, but not too didn't from a typical place. When I went there was no line, and all the workers were fast and friendly. I was actually given a bottle of water and immediately guided right into the first open bay. From there I was asked what I needed and the type of service I wanted. All of that was really simple and completed quickly. I also asked a tech if I could get my tire pressure checked, and he said it comes with the oil change. That's fantastic because two of my tires needed air in them. They pulled out my air filter and showed me I didn't need it changed yet, and of course showed me my new clean oil level when we were all done. I got to sit and wait in my parked car the whole time. I did this job when I was young, so I know what has to happen. 10 minutes once I got in the bay. It seems that nobody really needs to have business at this location. ( By the way I am still here) I need to make a correction. I now realize that take 5 is in reference to quarts of oil. So I was wrong on the 5 minutes, and I do apologize to the group that was there. You have to know that you pay a little extra for convenience. But being in and out in 10 min was great. Benji and Enrique were quick and professional. The shop was clean and I never had to get out of the car! They even offered me a bottle of water. Yes, the basic oil change is $43, and yes they will try to up-sell you, but not in a pushy way. Their military discount is not the usual 10%, but 25%! So I paid the same as I would have at Wal-Mart, but I didn't have to put up with all the time and hassle of Wal-Mart. I arrive there at 7:15 on a Saturday morning to get an early start and oil change. The gentleman stated that he was there alone and just arrived turning on the systems and it would take 30 to 40 minutes to boot. Not sure why they open at seven if they aren't ready for business until almost 8? He suggested I wait 30 to 40 minutes for a five minute oil change... Very disappointing. I went to this location on 4/11/2017 for an oil change. days later, my engine light came on so I took my car to the dealership, long story short, Express lube technician forgot to put gasket bolt back on when he changed oil which led to oil leak. To cover it up, he used some type of glue or spray around it to prevent leaking. When I took my car back to the Express lube, they admitted their mistake and put new oil in. I don't recommend this place to anyone. read more

I came in on Sunday, June 13 to get it oil change. It was hot my vehicles AC just went out. The people here put a fan on me to make sure I was comfortable. Also recommended everything that needed to be done to the truck. And got me in and out very quickly. I will not go anywhere else but this location to get an all change. Take 5 is no joke I was in and out in five minutes. Everybody was super friendly and if there was a way I can give more than five stars they were definitely get it.
