I just left Take 5, and from the moment I arrived the experience was disappointing. When I pulled in, Luke greeted me by joking that they "don't do oil changes on weekends" and that they "only work on transmissions." He delivered these comments without a smile, and the tone came off as unprofessional rather than friendly. He did not offer water, did not give a time estimate, and I ended up sitting in the bay for more than 50 minutes before anyone even touched my vehicle. The music in the shop was so loud you could barely hear anyone speaking. When Luke finally approached to explain the oil change I needed, I asked if it was the same type I received previously. He said he didn't know because his system was "fried" and he couldn't view my past service history. After the oil change was finished, he told a young lady named Faith to check me out. Faith was polite, but when I asked why none of my fluids, filters, or tire pressure had been checked--as they normally do and as I watched them do for other customers--she said she was only told to cash me out, and that I could "come back tomorrow" to have everything checked. This was the longest and worst experience I've ever had at Take 5. The customer service was nonexistent today, and based on this visit, I will not be returning. read more

I went in for a simple oil change, and shortly after leaving, all of the oil leaked out of my vehicle due to their work. This is a serious mistake that could have caused major engine damage. At first, I was told I would receive a refund. That never happened. Instead, they went back on their word and tried to push a "free oil change next time" which is ridiculous considering their mistake is the reason I will never return. It has now been three weeks with no refund, despite multiple follow-ups. The lack of accountability and honesty is unacceptable. Mistakes happen, but refusing to stand behind your work and going back on what you promised is unprofessional. I get to the Take 5 and all the slots were full so I put my car in park and wait patiently for my turn. I received a text from my son who was at the Dunkin Donuts next door and when I look up from responding to my son the attendant has waved the person behind me to move into the open slot. I get out of my car and ask why he's allowing the person behind me to go in front of me, he says he waved at me and didn't respond so he called the next car up. I was patiently waiting for 5 minutes, he could have walked up to the car or tapped my car but instead decided to cut me out of line. Then, he started getting very unprofessional with me thinking I'd be scared of him. When I confronted him with the same energy he ran in the back of the store. Do not go to this take 5. Employees seems friendly enough but they're severely understaffed or they're just slow. I've been waiting in a bay over 30 minutes for an oil change now. I usually recommend take 5 as the last time I went they gave me and my family drinks while we waited but this is a very different experience from my initial one. I'd suggest a different location. Will update when I actually get my oil changed. *update* so let's start off with the 26.99 oil change they have advertised, which is strictly for "older cars" Why even advertise it if it isn't available to every customer?? The services here are wonderful. The techs are great and get you taken care of. The manager there Diondre is awesome he took time to show me a cabin filter inside my car that I didn't have a clue about at all. He also checked my windshield wipers, aired my tires and topped of all of my fluids, that shows he values his customers. My son took his 2017 VW Jetta for an oil change and asked for a conventional oil change. The service writer Darous told him that they don't do conventional oil changes at Take 5 and Diondre the MOD agreed. The only option available was $100. He did it because he felt obligated. So instead of getting an oil change for less than $50 he was charged $108. This included a four dollar shop service charge which on the invoice looks like it was for absolutely nothing other than padding the bill. In my opinion, this is pretty damn sad that they would take advantage of a young person who is taking his first car for its first oil change. Shame on them. This tech needs to be reprimanded and a refund should be offered to make up for the unnecessary extra charges for fully synthetic and the extra $4. This is not the first time I've heard this about Take 5. I'd recommend going anywhere else. read more

I came here for a car inspection, and it was extremely quick and easy. I literally never took a step out of my car and the guys helping me were extremely kind. I passed my inspection and went on my way in the span of about 10-15 minutes. I wouldn't mind going for an inspection every year if it can be that swift and easy. Will be returning. read more

I was a regular customer who has had both of my vehicles serviced at mutilple Take 5 locations. Very recently while having my truck serviced at another Take 5 location it was pointed out to me that my truck was missing an air filter. I researched it and Take 5 district manager admitted they found it on camera that the technician failed to install a new filter I purchased durning previous service at Take 5 in Spring. After admitting fault the only thing Take 5 is willing to compensate me is a refund for the failed service. Totally disregarding the fact I drove the truck for 5k miles without an air filter due to their incompetence. Who knows the damage done to the engine in my truck. I give Take 5 management ZERO stars for customer service. I absolutely will not recommend them to anyone and will advise everyone to not do business with Take 5. It's very sad that once Take 5 gets your money they could not care less about their customers equipment or happiness with said service. **Responce to Take 5 (Owner) I made 7 different attempts to contact your company and have this situation resolved. I requested someone with your company who could suggest and authorize a solution contact me on three of those occasions. And all I've gotten in response is a voice mail stating the incident is closed and Take 5 would refund my money for the oil change. And I still haven't received the refund. Your company failed to install an air filter in my vehicle and I drove it for 5 thousand miles. This was confirmed by an investigation by your district manager. After that your company has not offered any solution that addresses the potential damage your company has caused my vehicle. It seems to me Take 5 does not care about the happiness of their customers as you claim. *******As of July 16, 2024 still no contact from a representative to resolve this situation and no refund as promised. **WARNING ** Do not use Take 5 Oil Change. A little over a month ago my daughter took her car in to have the oil changed as soon as the office changed she started vehicle and drove out only for her car to begin to sputter and idle extremely rough. She drove about a quarter of a mile down the road in the car stopped running. I went and met up with her got in the car I was able to get it started and running enough to get it home. The very next morning I took it to our trusty mechanic. They informed me this was the fourth or fifth car they have seen recently from Take 5 and the others didn't have a drop of oil in them. When she told me that my butt puckered. After a few minutes the mechanic came out and informed me that they over filled the oil by about 3 quarts. We were lucky because it could have been much worse. Just beware these quick oil change companies are in such a hurry they forget to do their job like they're supposed to. Oh yeah I contacted the location that did the oil change the technician that actually came out to inspect her car after it died agreed and said that they would give her a full refund of her money. Well the store manager jumped in and said that was not gonna happen until they reviewed the video and he would contact me in a few days after he and the district manager had time to review the video evidence. After more than a week I returned a call to him only to be told that they were NOT going to refund the money and that video evidence showed clearly that they put the proper amount of oil in her car. My brother comes here all the time and he says it comes up to $25 with mix blend I drive a Hyundai not a bmw my total came up to be $86.81. Manager is an absolute a**hole! The only place I have taken my car to is take 5 and when I went to get an oil change today, they told me they couldn't open my hood because someone broke a part in it. UHHHH it was obviously y'all. I literally have the last take 5 little sticker on my windshield still. The manager reached into my car through the window and unlocked my door, opened it, and tried to pop my hood open again without asking. i was on the phone with my mom and was unable to tell him to stop but the mother f*coker knew better. They told me to go across the street to fix it then come back. They also would not let me move forward and put a cone in front of me just to be petty. Took my wife's car in a couple months ago and they didn't replace the dip stick all the way. After a week of her mentioning an oil smell, we raised the hood and found the problem. I took my car in today and they said "we recommend putting 3 pounds more air in the times than the manufacturer recommends. I said NO, I want my tires at 35 psi. I have 3 at 38 and one at 39?!?? I'm sitting at Take 5 while I write this. I pull up, they immediately get to work after asking what I need. If you don't know, they will give you good advice. After that, every fluid in my truck was topped off with the exception of brake and gas haha. Then they asked me what I want my tire pressures set to and fixed it. Excellent service, and fast. I had a really crappy and scary experience here. Both people working were really unfriendly and didn't know anything. They Almost put the wrong oil in my car. I had to tell them exactly which type to use per my manual. I also change oil every year per my vehicle manual and dealer but they were arguing that's too long and I should do it after six months. Either they're ignorant or trying to make money by scaring me. Both workers were cursing out loud so much that I had to raise my window and saying how it's not their responsibility how shop stuff got damaged by rain so you know how much they care about your valuable vehicle. I think I will take my vehicle to dealer where it might take an additional hour but I won't be scared that someone will ruin my car. read more

I really dread doing anything with my car, especially tires and oil changes. I had come across this place on my travels and sounded like they were pretty quick so I pulled up. They gave me excellent service! Corbin and Diondre were so nice and helpful. I got to wait in my car while they did the oil change and they did something that no other change company has ever done-they checked my cabin air filter. Turns out an animal got in there and ate part of the filter and left droppings that I have been breathing in for God knows how long ...it looked like no one ever touched it and I noticed now my car cools down much better now that it's been replaced. They made sure to give me a new sticker and reset my oil indicator which a lot of places seem to forget to do. They also topped my fluids and checked my tires, suggesting a rotation after I explained how much I drive. Thank you so much guys, I will be returning for my next oil change! read more
