Quick heads-up though: the photo shows 2 takos and the name reads "camarón Takos," which honestly made me think I was getting a pair -- so that's the only reason I'm holding back that fifth star! I also added a carne asada taco for $3.75. I placed my order at 12:25pm with a 1:00pm pickup time -- seemed like a stretch for lunch, but hey, it was peak hour! I showed up at 12:45 and my food was already waiting for me. Oh, and don't sleep on the salsa bar -- definitely grab some on your way out! The spot is modern and super clean, with a cozy vibe -- just 2 small tables inside and 2 outside, so it's a cute little gem! Came across this place on Postmates and they are bomb! They have Quesa tacos which is a fried cheese shell instead of a tortilla shell which is different and delicious! I loved the taco fundido, chipotle salsa and poblanos peppers made it tasty! Also carnitas is my favorite and instead of shredded they have diced pieces which are crispy and not dry at all! I wanted it all in my mouth, twss. I think the only things they fall short on is the horchata and the salsas. But I think the quality food items make up for that. I tried this new place and I actually found the best whole in the wall they have the best CEMITAS with lots of quesillo. I personally tried the Milanesa and it was Bomb. To top if off I ordered the Quesa tacos and just made my mouth revolt in flavor the cheese shell its so crunchy and tasty; their meat is so flavorful i tried asada to die for. The chicken was a little plain, but when you dress them up with that red sauce, the tacos sing! The red sauce is a bit smoky, with the right amount of spiciness! This place is good! They do take long to give you your food, but it is worth the wait. Took about 20 min for me to get Takos and a torta. The have 2 small tables inside and 2 others (one that fits 2 and another that fits 4) outside. Don't come in expecting to get a table. I've tried the tacos fundidos, mulitas (huge amount of food) and gringas all highly recommended. I don't mind waiting the time, I do mind waiting double the time bc a hostess can't give an accurate time without any updates. Unfortunately, the server also took so long to take our order. The food wait was long too, which didn't seem too bad until I realized the restaurant wasn't busy enough to have slow turnout and slow service. Maybe the missing guests knew something I didn't. When the food finally came, it was not edible. I'm not sure if it was an off day, as I had ordered this plate before, but my enchiladas were so spicy that it immediately made my lips prickle like I put on plumper, with a complimenting redness, and my tongue was suffering. I thought i might've just been sensitive but my partners plate, wet burrito, was also incredibly spicy. I had specifically asked for the "less spicy" sauce and was disappointed. I had planned to share my large plate with my toddler and I'm glad I taste tested it first. The beans were also over spiced as the salsa ran into them. All I could eat was the rice, sour cream, and orange slice. The plates are large and almost shareable, so that's a big plus. I just wish I could've enjoyed them. Overall, I was so upset by my encounter here. My experience was two hours with only spending about 20 minutes with my main course in front of me. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and say it was a bad day. Let's hope we don't have a repeat experience later.

When I placed my order they did tell me ahead of time "We're not as quick as other places BUT we cut our meat the moment the order is placed and grill it with our prefixed seasonings.." It honestly did not take long. I waited about 6 mins tops. While I was waiting there was plenty of foot traffic with people picking up phone orders, and delivery orders. It was empty inside but it appears to have plenty of online ordering. The QUESO-Taco is my favorite! The tortilla is nice and crunchy and holds that crispy texture very well even after I dip it in the BIRRIA. I also noticed there was no brown discoloration on the cilantro which is a pet peeve of mine. Even my toppings were fresh. The asada tacos took me back to my travels down South. El Toro Chido is authentic and was worth my drive from Long Beach to Norwalk.
