I was riding by on my bike and liked how this place looked with a cool sign and logo. The large dining area only had a few customers and I was served promptly. It has a nice upscale look and prices are reasonable($20 for shrimp pad thai). My portion was smaller than average with no sides included losing this restaurant one star. Recommended.

We took a break and drove over, followed the signs for the parking since it's in the back. You have to go down an alley. This place is very small but really really good. My kids had pad Thai, I had garlic fish, my husband had drunken noodles and my sil had green curry that was sooooook good she ate it all (there was a lot of curry and usually she doesn't finish). Great Thai iced tea. My kids really loved it, that's usually a good sign. They have had their fair share of pad thai and have become pad thai snobs. The bathroom is very kitsch and is covered in stickers. For the overstimulated it might be much, my spectrum kiddo needed to go but he just couldn't look at all the stickers. Just be aware. It was clean just visually stimulating. I would definitely come back here anytime I go to Universal. I always like supporting local and truly it's a gem. Service was great, the server let my daughter grab some stickers. Clearly it's an artsy fun vibe.

The kind of dish where you keep saying "one more bite" and suddenly you're scraping the container wondering where it all went. Major bonus points for the generous chunks of eggplant. As an eggplant enthusiast, I felt seen. Was I secretly hoping for Thai eggplant? Yes. Did that stop me from inhaling the entire curry like it owed me money? Absolutely not. Pickup was fast, and I think I met the owner when he handed me my order. Super nice guy! The food was amazing, the service was warm, and now I've accidentally created a new problem for myself because I'm already planning my next order. 10/10. Send curry. I'll be back.

I live very close to this restaurant and go there pretty frequently whenever I have a craving for some great, delicious, authentic, fresh, flavorful food. Since my last review, I have been there many times but today I felt that there is a need for an update. I walked in around 6:45pm and got a very nice welcome from Joe & his wife Joy. It is a family owned business and they are very much loved and close to the community. We are all like one big, happy family. They get most of their clientele from to-go orders and 3rd party orders. The restaurant is pretty chill, big, and quiet. However, they do have fine music playing overhead and nice decor all over. I have tried many dishes from their extensive menu options and love everything that I have tried. On today's visit I tried their Garlic Pork Rib Stir Fry with lots of different kinds of herbs (17.95). It comes with broccoli and steamed white rice. Also got their 5pc vegetable egg rolls (7.95). For dessert, I had their Mango Sticky rice which is to die for.(10.95). Food was tender and delicious. Parking is shared with multiple businesses, place is very clean and they have one gender neutral restroom which is also clean. Go to DISH & I swear that you will become to be part of their family.

Cut to the opening of this location in Studio City a while back...at first, I didn't know what to do with it. Why go to busy Ventura blvd when I can go to the other spot? Well, I figured it out! My teenage daughter wanted Thai food for her birthday, but we needed a place that felt more upscale, but not super fancy as we had a younger (and pickier) kid in tow. And that's what this location is!!! It's a perfect Thai food birthday spot! Our house guests ended up getting into town early, so we had lunch instead of our scheduled dinner. The lunch portions are HUGE. They also come with a salad and egg rolls! I'll let the pics speak for themselves on this one. Our daughter also got the pumpkin curry and it had such odepth of flavor! The menu is abundant, including the lunch options. We got 4 lunch items and 1 regular menu item (no drinks) for $85!!! That's ridiculously good considering the portion size! The orange chicken is lightly breaded, crispy, and juicy. The yellow curry had lots of chicken in it (as well all know some curries can come with sparse protein), the bbq chicken was charred yet still moist, the pad thai noodles were as good as they come. So, my whole point is to tell you that I found a reason to go to the Ventura Blvd location. I suggest you find a reason to go there as well ;)

The roti was highly recommended, and although I've enjoyed roti before, nothing has come close to this version. It was incredibly delicious--light, buttery, and perfectly flaky, with delicate layers that practically melted in my mouth. The accompanying dipping sauce complemented it beautifully. I'm a big fan of drunken noodles, but the version served here was truly exceptional--the best I've ever had. The flavors were rich, vibrant, and perfectly balanced. Our server was attentive, patient, and genuinely kind, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. To top it all off, the prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food and service. Limited parking in back, but plenty on the street this small sibling eatery to Rustic Spoon - Valley Village has a lot of those familiar beats with both inside and patio seating. I haven't been to this location in many years, but the service and eats definitely had me nostalgic. Stopping in for dinner before an event night, my friend Shaun and I enjoyed the Pad Thai (him) and their Warm Noodle (myself) w/ Tofu. The portions are smaller than the Rustic Spoon in Valley Village, but the flavors and quality are abundant. From curry to desser, noodles to rice dishes, appetizers, salads, soups, chef's specials and even a kid's menu. No wine, beer or alcoholic beverages available here, however excellent mocktails (Rose Mojito, Bloody Lychee), teas, and various classic beverages. We experienced a minor mix up with my order initially, I was brought a noodle dish with steak, but I think it was meant for another table since I don't eat meat and can't remember the last time I used steak in a sentence. It was an easy fix and we had zero other issues, aside for me leaving my bag at the table - they were super kind enough to flag us down on the sidewalk. Very clean and intimate inside with nice lighting from the street and their own special touch at night. Restrooms for customers Wi-Fi available upon request. Patio is pet friendly. Solid for groups, but absolutely plan ahead (they do take reservations). Open daily from 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM and 4:30 PM - 9:00 PM on weekdays as well as from 3 PM until 9 PM Saturdays and Sundays.

The food was amazing as usual. We ordered the Riesling, soft shell crab, papaya salad, fried chicken, drunken noodles with shrimp, and the crab fried rice which my husband absolutely loved. A huge shoutout to our waitress, Pam, and the sommelier; they were both fantastic. The ambiance was just as fabulous as I remembered, and sitting by the window with that city view and the music playing was perfect. Anajak Thai definitely has a new fan, but there is one thing that needs fixing. I booked this reservation weeks in advance, but when we arrived right at opening, there was already a line. Instead of prioritizing those of us with reservations, the hostess just started talking to walk-ins first. When I asked about our booking, she was honestly pretty rude. They really need to separate the line for walk-ins and the "VIP" line for those of us who put in the effort to book ahead. It left a bit of a bitter taste, especially since we're committed regulars. Other than that, we loved it and we'll be back!

Before going, we read through the reviews and had some hesitation since opinions were pretty mixed. We went in with no expectations, and honestly, we ended up having a great experience. We were seated near the open kitchen, which was a fun bonus because we got to watch all the action behind the scenes. We started with a bottle of their Riesling, a collaboration with a German winery. It was light, refreshing, and the perfect pairing for the meal. Here's what we ordered: Kampachi Sashimi -- 10/10 One of our favorites of the night. The sauce paired beautifully with the fish, and we loved it so much that we asked to keep the extra sauce to dip with the other proteins. Pineapple Pork Ribs -- 10/10 Absolutely incredible. The ribs were juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. Not chewy at all -- just perfectly cooked. Southern Fried Chicken -- 8/10 I was skeptical at first, but the chicken was cooked perfectly and seasoned really well. It didn't even need the extra sauces because the flavor stood on its own. BBQ Pork Collar -- 9/10 The seasoning and cooking were spot on. I personally love fatty cuts of meat, but my husband isn't a fan, so there were a few pieces he wouldn't eat. If you enjoy richer cuts, this one is worth ordering. Spicy Drunken Noodles with Shrimp -- 7/10 Good, but not the standout dish for us. I've had better versions at lower price points. Nothing was wrong with it, but it didn't feel especially unique and the portion was on the smaller side. Spicy Fried Rice -- 5/10 This was probably our least favorite dish. The portion was small, and the flavor wasn't as bold as we expected. It's something we'd probably skip next time since you can find similar dishes elsewhere for less. Mango Sticky Rice -- 10/10 One of the best mango sticky rice desserts we've had. The portion was very small, but the mango was incredible and the sticky rice was made by a mom, which made it feel extra authentic and special. Overall, the service was excellent. Everyone was attentive, friendly, and made the experience even better. Despite the mixed reviews we saw beforehand, we really enjoyed our visit and would definitely recommend giving Anajak a try!
