I love the ambiance here! The baristas are super friendly and love to talk story with you! They really make you feel welcomed. This is my go to coffee spots to study and/or do work. I always recommend this place to any and all my friends for an amazing cafe experience!

Visited Talk Kaimuki today after a pedicure to order my regular- Iced, Nutella latte with Oatmilk. I told myself to order something new, but if you know me, I go with what I like most days. The Nutella latte hits the spot if you need a pick-me-up on a busy day. Some things to keep in mind: -this area can get really busy and parking is a nightmare during lunch hours (11:30-1:30pm). All spots are also metered parking so be prepared. With a credit card or change! The ambiance in Talk Kaimuki is a chill and relaxed. This is an area where lots of college students frequent so there is a hipster vibe. Lots of folks here getting business and studying done so perfect spot if you are meeting a friend or colleague for a quick meeting.

My experience at Talk Kaimuki today deserves a 5-star. As soon as I entered, the staff was eager to take care of me. The woman who helped me was efficient, kind and skilled. Her iced latte was incredibly crafted. (The reason for the 1-star deduction has to do entirely with my other experience here. There was an employee who was condescending and rude when I asked a question.) The restrooms are clean. Talk offers free WiFi. There's parking nearby. Lots of seating for social hangouts, work/school, etc. My iced vanilla lavender latte was delicious! Coffee flavor strong, yet well balanced. The perfect amount of ice too!

If you love your coffee bold & strong- this place is it. Check their specialty drink menu, yum! They have pistachio matcha & haupia lattes, to name a few. They also have this ube chocolate bread putting. There's a wall of mini shaka hooks. Cute spot & happy baristas.

Customer service was quick and friendly, and the staff had great recommendations for their pastries. I ordered a café mocha and the Lilikoi Mango Sticky Rice scone--which completely surprised me because I normally don't care for sticky rice desserts, but this one was fantastic. I stopped by on a busy Saturday morning, and even with the crowd, the baristas were swift and attentive. I love exploring the little cafés around Kaimukī, and Talk Kaimuki is definitely worth a stop if you're strolling through the area.

Sorry to say I live close by and haven't been here in a long time and is the first time here for cocktails! I'm so happy I did. Love what they did with the place and the way they do things. The evening had a great vibe. The night we came we sat next to a couple that met exactly a year ago celebrating that they met at Talk Kaimuki and their relationship is still going. Bartenders are great not in just making their cocktails but personable and friendly. Their ideas as mixologists are amazing to watch. My friends and I were able to see how they were testing recipes .its nice to see the artistry as a mixologists. As someone who is not much a drinker, (I was this night), to see the process. The drink were delicious and unique flavors. What I really love are the different glasses. I'm all about crockery and loved the different styles. It adds to the drinks for me. The food we only had grill cheese and the popcorn and both were delicious. The Popcorn is legit! I'm looking forward to visiting again with my friends. Thanks for a great experience.

Very friendly staff. Baked goods - in house. I bought blueberry scones. Very tasty. There was a line to order. They are open when others are closed. Lots to order for breakfast and sandwiches and coffee and other drinks of course. Relaxed atmosphere.

Today I got to try the breakfast at Talk Kaimuki and found it very quiet, relaxing and calm with a tasty meal. The service was friendly and helpful.

Chocolate croissant was overcooked and dry.

The 1st cup of coffee was OK. The refill was so watery. It looked like cream added to dirty water. Turkey quiche was fair though a small portion. I expect them to ask if I wanted it hot or cold, It's weird to have some point to a self serve microwave in the dining room when ordering food. The chocolate croissant was overcooked and dry. I had ordered a large cup of coffee and they gave me a regular ceramic cup. Equivalent to a small. Refill was two dollars. If you have a caffeine addiction and be paying for several cup of coffees to get a large. . I would not come here again.

A staple coffee shop in Kaimuki that turns into a cocktail bar at night. The space is laid out with the coffee bar and ordering counter in the center with seating on both sides. There is a good amount of indoor seating with different nooks for people to sit in. There is a good variety of coffees -- the Thai Nitro was good! The pastries are good -- especially the cinnamon rolls and I have also heard that the quiches are worth a try. The baristas are sweet and quick as well. At night, the cocktail bar is pretty self-directed as you pick up your clipboard menu and grab bottles of water on your own before heading to your table. Then, you order off your menu. We got a Sneaky Smash, Ode to Oaxaca, Curry Lemonade, and some sort of lemon non-alcoholic drink. The Curry Lemonade was different and did taste like drinking curry, if that is what you are looking for. The other drinks were enjoyed by the table, especially the lemon drink -- sweet and syrup-y. This is a great spot in Kaimuki for drinks throughout the day and into the night with parking on the street and in lots around Kaimuki.

Cafe in downtown Kaimuki on a corner spot! Parking is street parking. Really lovely atmosphere for sitting and doing work, catching up with a friend, or just enjoying a relaxing coffee morning. Good vibes! Relatively quiet even though it's busy. Open concept space with high ceilings and lots of sunlight. Coffee drinks aren't the most aesthetically pleasing, but there's a rich coffee taste, and the milk foam was well done. They sell pastries, quick bites and sandwiches as well. A bit pricier but coffee quality is worth it.

Honestly, not sure how this place is and continues to be in business. We came here to get a caffeine fix, and we regretted instantly in giving this place a try - Don't fall for their signages, since it's all false advertisement - their so-called 'Specialty Drinks' are all lies! I tried their Nitro, which was described as it being 'rich and creamy' - there was no richness or creaminess in this drink - it was bitter, watered down, and it had an off taste to it, as if they added some weird unfiltered water. With half of a sip, this was tossed. There seemed to be only one staff member on site, preparing the drinks; we come to find out that she is supposedly a 'longtime beloved employee' named Di - not sure who these individuals are, but she was passive aggressive and made us feel unwelcomed and uncomfortable. The place itself is spacious, but dimly lit; the surfaces of the tables were not wiped down properly, as it was grimy/sticky. In addition, there was a pungent odor coming from somewhere, so not sure if they have a sewage problem or something. Apparently, this place transitions into serving cocktails at 4 PM. Such a poor experience, and, unfortunately, I can't and will not support this so-called local business. Limited metered street parking in the area. +awful service +unfriendly and rude staff +improperly prepared beverages +false descriptions on items +limited metered street parking available

It feels like one of those places that has become trendy because someone on Instagram popularized it. The sandwich was good but not great. The lettuce was turning brown. In my opinion, a really great sandwich excels because you can taste the quality, freshness, and flavor of its individual ingredients. The sandwich itself was satisfying, but it was missing one thing: flavor from seasoning. Everything tasted fresh, yet somewhat bland because there was little to no seasoning to bring the ingredients together. My biggest disappointment was the bread. Growing up with Capriotti's back in Delaware, the rolls were a huge part of what made the sandwiches special. The rolls at this location just aren't the same. They're soft and remind me more of the standard hoagie rolls you can pick up at a supermarket rather than the distinctive rolls I remember from back home. Overall, the ingredients are fresh and the service was good, but the lack of seasoning and the difference in the bread keep this from being the Capriotti's experience I was hoping for. Not a bad sandwich by any means, just not quite what I remember from Delaware.

Started by award-winning chef and restauranteur Kelvin Ro in 2002, this popular restaurant is known for its "grab-and-go" market with bakery and deli; and a grill serving local-style plate lunches and burgers. It offers a mix of fresh, local Hawaiian food with casual, quick-service atmosphere, popular with locals and tourists for its fresh, reasonably priced meals and baked goods. The grab-and-go offerings include gourmet deli, house-roasted meats, entrees, salads, sandwiches, soups, and desserts. Non-food merchandise includes creative note cards and freshly made lei. (their lei appear pricy). They also collaborate with other companies to offer taro chips and ice cream. The bakery's popular items include its blueberry cream cheese scones, lemon crunch cake, and Diamond Head torte. The grill has a takeout window and offers upscale local Hawaiian fare with charbroiled and grill services. The items we've tried are: * Blueberry cream cheese scones. Best scones I've ever had! Huge, flaky, moist tender with pockets of solid cream cheese and juicy blueberries make this a popular item! * Lemon crunch cake. The original layered lemon cream cake with toffee bits, with the rumor being a former employee used the same or similar recipe at Aiea Bowl. I still say that this cake at Diamond Head Bakery has more whipped cream, lemon cream, and toffee bits than at Aiea Bowl. * Teri chicken plate. Marinated chicken thighs and glazed with a sweetened Japanese style teri sauce and served with white or brown rice. Nice teri flavor enjoyed by locals, although not too familiar with visitors. Will try the char siu chicken sandwich or chicken plate next time, as it is not normally offered by plate lunch places. Both the grab-n-go and grill sections get busy with customers, and staff are knowledgeable about their items to answer questions produce efficient and quick service. Many appear to be long-time staff. No fancy ambiance, as space is used to display their merchandise for fast turnover. Owner Kelvin Ro has supported the University of HI's Culinary Institute of the Pacific at Diamond Head through monetary pledges in providing training to students in culinary arts. Hours of operation are 7:30a to 8p daily; award-winning breakfast items made to order (pancakes, fluffy omelets, roasted pork hash, loco moco) every Sat/Sun from 7:30a to 10:30a.
