Basted fitting for my three piece tuxedo.
    Michael R.

The shop may not look like much from the outside but, when it comes to custom tailoring, it's the magic that happens inside that counts. If you've grown out of the Indochino/Suit Supply types of made-to-measure services, and you live in the area, definitely see Peter at Tam Tailor for a big step up the tailoring ladder. I have worked with Peter at Tam Tailor on two bespoke suits; one all-purpose navy two-piece suit and a three-piece peak lapel tuxedo for my wedding. Both suits fit me better than any suits I have ever owned, including a jacket made for me by another well regarded Orange County bespoke & made-to-measure tailor as well as many off-the-rack and online made-to-measure services. Peter has a lot of fabric options available to browse through and is able to order fabrics that he doesn't have on hand. His fabric books seem to focus mostly on Loro Piana fabrics on the higher end (he also has many options for other fabric mills at lower price points) but, for my tuxedo, he was easily able to source a specific barathea fabric by Scabal that I requested for my tuxedo. Going through the process of taking measurements and multiple basted fittings was a pleasure and Peter was very open to hear my suggestions for how I prefer my fit and details. I was able to bring example photos to demonstrate some of these aspects as well and Peter incorporated them into the process. He has a good eye and is able to spot issues and adjustments quite well but he's open to hearing your input, too. Not only did Peter and his team create a custom pattern based on my measurements, I was able to specify details such as lapel width, height of the lapel gorge, shape of the lower jacket quarters, jacket button stance, etc. I am extremely satisfied with the end results. The quality of work and the overall experience represents a great value/price-point that I don't think can be beat in Southern California. Additionally, Tam Tailor has handled quite a few basic and more serious alterations for me. They do a fantastic job at a very reasonable price.

I came to Tam Tailor to make a made-to-measure suit for my wedding. After comparing their offering to the corporate models of Suitsupply and Indochino, I made the decision to move forward with Peter as I felt I was going to get much better quality, service, and value from Tam Tailor. After choosing from Peter's fabric choice, I ended up ordering a suit made from Loro Piana Super 150s wool. The fabric itself had a very subtle sheen and depth that looked very special with the light. Peter was very communicative through the entire process and made my suit to my request. Knowing very little about suits in general, I deferred to Peter to help with any choices necessary and am super happy with how the fit and finish turned out.

My first perfectly tailored suit by Mr Tam!

Mr. Tam is the sweetest and I'm so happy that he tailored my first suit. It fits like a glove! He was so gentle in pinning my suit and didn't speak much but when we came back a few days later to pick up, he was much more talkative. He's got jokes! He was very grateful for the business. Affordable, cash only. Highly recommend Mr. Tam!

Peter is da man!! He made my black Taylor made suit and my a Taylor made white shirt in less then a month which he said he could do. The suit n shirt was definitely fantastic in every way.. the only little flaw was Communication. A few times he was supposed to call he didn't. I had to call him. He up graded the material on the suit without letting me know. Because they ran out of the other material. Which I would of agreed on it.. After talking to him. I said it was cool. But overall I was definitely happy n satisfied with the suit . Had many compliments on the suit.. it fit well. I look sharp . I loved it. Many of my people love it!! I felt like I was in GQ. Lol ..outstanding job Peter! I'll definitely come back to get another suit!!!!

My husband is an attorney so he wears suits on a daily basis. Everything from Macy's to Armani. For our wedding day, we want something special and beautifully tailored. Peter did an amazing job with my husband's suit. He took his time to go over all the design details with us during on first appointment. He designed and made the jacket, pants, vest and dress shirt. Everything was tailored to perfection. We couldn't have asked for a better result. My husband loves his suit. I highly recommend Peter.

Mr. Peter, at Tam Tailor, knew what I wanted in less words than I could express! Quality work, quick turnaround, and humble, candid demeanor. More professionals like this, please! I'm ready for my interview, coming out of the shop with a smile on my face and good energy in my heart.

    Custom suit and shirt

I'd always wanted a suit, especially one tailored to me. I read the reviews here and went straight to Tam Tailor. You can see how much care Peter puts into his work. He made me feel at home, carefully considering each of my questions and requests. My custom 3-piece suit and shirt came out beautifully, fit how I wanted, and makes me feel like a million bucks! The love and craftsmanship shines through. I'm happy wearing it for as long as I can, and will be coming back for more. Come in and support this local business! Thank you Peter!

Highly recommend Mr. Tailor. He is 81 years old and still comes to work at 7am every morning. Many celebrities come to him for custom suits. The whole process is very simple. First I chose the fabric. A couple days later I came in for a fitting, which was perfect for me. Then I picked up the finished product a couple days after that. Half of the payment is due when you place the order and the other half when you pick up the suit.

The alteration shop I usually go to was closed today so I decided to give this place a try due to the proximity. What a great find! For a simple hem it was $10 for men's pants. That wasn't bad considering the owner charges upwards of $1000 for a custom made suit. While speaking to the owner he shared with me some of the celebrities he has made suits for over the years. The list was quite impressive. You can tell he was been in the business for a long time just observing the way he starting pinning you without even having to ask what needed to be done. He didn't rush the whole process and really took his time to make sure everything was how you wanted. If you're looking for someone to create a high quality suit/tux or even simple alterations, this is the place. You will get over 30 years of experience and great customer service.

I recommend to booking an initial appointment to meet with Vi who will give you a run-through of the services they provide for your wedding. We talked over our floral inspiration for our reception decor, as well as trying on wedding dresses that can be bought or rented. They will alter your dress and dry clean it for you before the big day. I probably visited this shop a minimum of 10 times. I had my first dress fitting here. They had so many different dresses. I tried on at least 6 or 7 on my first fitting. I ended up going with one that I knew was the one. The rental price for it was very reasonable which came with the alteration, dry cleaning, and a veil as well. My bridesmaids and flower girl also did their fittings here as well and love the selection of dresses they had. I even got to rent a second dress for our reception so I could be more comfortable. The second dress was basically an evening gown, but the color and design is very modern and complemented most body types. I did not diet or work out for our wedding and the dress looked incredible on me. Since I am only 5'0 tall, most of the dresses had fit my height (with heels) which I am incredibly thankful for. As for the florals, we did very simple florals. Our wedding is dusty blue, cream, and a hint of gold so the Hollywood Bridal team did an amazing job putting together the bouquets, centerpieces, and the split arch for our reception entrance. The bouquets are absolutely stunning. It included the flowers I love and the exact color palette I wanted. Overall great experience with Hollywood Bridal. We appreciate getting our florals and wedding rentals from here. I received so many lovely compliments on my wedding dress as well as bridesmaids dresses. Not to mention, my flower girl was in love with her dress. We couldn't have asked for such a wonderful and memorable night, all thanks to Hollywood Bridal. Future brides, definitely give Hollywood Bridal a visit! They're open until 7pm and parking can be tricky but worth it!

We had a pink, white, and gold color theme and it came together perfectly and looked even better than we imagined!! The floral arrangements were stunning, I loved the centerpiece designs and the floral arch that we included for our sweet heart table. The florals had really matched the inspo pics that we gave them and are so happy with how they turned out.  The tea ceremony decor was equally beautiful. We chose a pink and white backdrop with gold accents and the traditional signs. They had even included the tables and all the traditional items used in the ceremony like the insense burner, candle & candle holder, and the tea set. The service throughout the process was also amazing. Communication was smooth and easy, making planning stress-free. Vi was incredibly helpful from beginning to end and went above and beyond with planning the florals and tea ceremony setup.  We received so many compliments from our guests and are so glad that we went with Hollywood Bridal for our wedding and tea ceremony decor, everything was also affordable. I would 100% recomend to any upcoming married couples.

They also have fitting rooms with mirrors. Service: Thank you to all the workers that assisted us in picking everything out, but special thank you to Ray! He was absolutely cordial, helpful, and knowledgable. He measured my brother and showed us the aisle to look for suits based on his measurements. Products: My brother and cousin needed a suit for a wedding. They offer all kinds of suits from different brands like Calvin Klein and Luxury Italian brands. The materials are high quality. There's many different colors to choose from. My brother really liked the suit he picked out because it was comfortable and fit well. The only piece that needed tailoring were the pants. Unfortunately they do not offer tailing services here. The belts were a bit difficult to choose from because they didn't have my brother's size in the style he wanted. The shirts, ties, and socks were easy to choose from. The socks and ties are one size. There's different colors and patterns to choose from. The shirts are organized by sizes and clearly labeled on the packaging. My brother also bought polishable black shoes from here. Pricing: They offer special 3 suit packages. These packages include 3 suits, 3 shirts, 3 ties, 3 belts, and 3 socks. Prices depend on the color of the tags. Each colored tag represents different materials and brands. We went for the suites with red tags for $399.99. The shoes were $50. Definitely worth it!

My experience was extremely mixed, and honestly very frustrating. If you do decide to shop here, my advice is: 1. Make sure the correct dress is actually ordered 2. Keep every single receipt 3. Confirm that everything is properly documented in your profile This was the first bridal shop I visited. I was excited but nervous, not knowing what to expect. I was helped by a stylist named Stacy, who was very friendly and ultimately helped me find a dress I loved. I hadn't even planned to buy that day, but she told me the dress was on sale and gave me a great price, so I said yes. I was told it would arrive in about a month. A month later, I picked up my dress. I asked about alterations and was quoted starting around $300, which felt high but I decided to wait until I tried the dress on at home. When I finally tried it on, I immediately realized--it was NOT my dress. Completely different style and even the wrong color (ivory instead of white). Thankfully, I had pictures from my appointment to prove it. I went back to the store, and the manager quickly confirmed I was given the wrong dress. They even found my actual dress on the floor. But here's where things got worse: I was told that if I wanted the correct dress, I would have to pay an additional $1,100 because the wrong dress had been ordered and priced. Let that sink in--their stylist made a mistake, ordered the wrong dress, gave me the wrong price, and I was expected to pay the difference. The manager offered a small discount, but I would still have to pay hundreds more. I refused and asked for a refund. She then told me I needed my receipt, so I came back the next day with it. While processing the refund, she said it was a "courtesy" since the dress was apparently final sale from clearance--something that was never explained to me. She also implied there were no notes in the system and that she "wasn't there," which seemed to be the ongoing excuse for everything. On top of that, I discovered I had been charged for TWO garment bags--one for $7 and another for $12--but only received one. Again, no explanation, no notes, just confusion. Overall, this experience felt extremely disorganized and unprofessional. Employees don't seem to communicate with each other, and their system for keeping records is clearly not being used properly. Luckily, I still have time to find another dress. I can't imagine how stressful this would've been if it happened closer to my wedding. I'm not trying to be difficult, but this situation was handled poorly from start to finish. If I had been given the correct dress at the correct price from the beginning, my experience would have been completely different. Brides, just be careful.
