A good tamal starts with the masa, just like a good taco starts with the tortilla. Their masa is very tasty! We were looking to try their menudo but unfortunately they had already ran out by the time we came in. Instead, we ordered their pozole and 2 eggs with 2 tamales combo (chicken in green sauce and pork). Their combo comes with rice and beans and choice of salsa. We also ordered a cheese and rajas tamal on the side. The cheese and rajas tamal was my first bite and it was delicious. If you've never had tamales with eggs, you're missing out. This is an elite mixture. Their rice was also very tasty and not overly seasoned like other places do. Their pozole was really good too. The meat was falling off the bone and the portion was just right. After finishing their food, we ordered three more tamales: beef, another chicken with green sauce, and another cheese and rajas. Our favorites were the chicken, rajas, and pork. Our hearts and tummies were happy. The people working there were so warming and inviting and kept making sure we didn't need anything else. We also tried their jamaica (hibiscus) and horchata drinks. You can taste that the horchata is homemade. Unlike most Mexican joints, the horchata wasn't overly sweet, which I appreciated. You definitely need to try this restaurant. I know I've found my go to tamal place. read more

Hidden gem for tamales! The last time I ordered tamales from here was back in 2021 during Covid. I always knew it was in Orange and I happened to be in the area so decided to give it a try. It's located in a strip mall and nicely updated inside. I originally had my mind set on an elote and pork tamale, but they were out of elote so I decided to try a breakfast burrito and pork tamale. - breakfast burrito has beans, rice, chorizo and egg and was good. It paired well with the salsa included. - pork tamale - just as I remembered - their tamales are the best in the area. Nice and juicy and full of flavor. It's a party in your mouth. Majorly moist tamales! I can't even decide which are my favorite...the green sauced chicken, the red sauced shredded beef, and pork are all equally deliciously! The corn, strawberry and pineapple are also really good. And thankfully they are labeled, that way if you get a dozen to take home, you are left guessing which is which. I also tried the menudo, which is only served on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The flavor is excellent and includes limes, seasoning, and tortillas. The place is small, but very cute inside. From the outside it looks like a hole in the wall, but behind the doors it's like a little cafe. They even have two designated parking spots right in front of the entrance. There are several tables inside, and a coffee bar with sugar packets and honey. Next time I will have to try their horchata, and champurado. We were craving tamales and didn't want to drive to our usual spot. So we decided to check this place out. We arrived right at opening time at 8am. The man at the register was super nice and helpful. The restaurant was very clean and smelled delicious. We ordered the huevos con chorizo combo plate and a red and green tamale. Huevos with chorizo were descent. The red tamales were good but still personally prefer the green chicken ones. Now the green chicken tamales were really good. The masa was moist and chicken was flavorful and not dry. They are a bit on the smaller side, but other than that they are solid. As a 100% Mexican, I approve these tamales. read more

Could be a sign of the times...prices going up everywhere...cost of wholesale goods affecting supplies for business owners...but these tamales were much better tasting and more economically palatable pre Covid and in 2021...prices have steadily risen here (as well as everywhere). The tamales now have more masa and less meat...also, the meat liquid would infuse the masa...making it taste better--not any more. A little disappointed . Overall this was a fairly good experience. Since moving to the city of Corona, I have found it a tad difficult to find a place that serves both Menudo and Tamales. You can find Menudo, however tamales are a hard creature to find. I have been traveling out side the local area in search of a good place to call my M&T home. Tamaleria Rincon Sinaloense was a good find. Not the best (I save my 5 stars for only the best), but good. The menudo was a good portion and was a good portion. Maybe a little heavy with the salt however, I still enjoyed it. They have a variety of tamales, I am a pork/red kind of guy and though the masa was not what I am typically used to, the tamales still satisfied. Not a lot of meat or sauce but the tamale was still moist and the masa had good flavor. The service was good and the folks there seemed nice. Also, the space was clean. A big plus. Over all it was a nice experience and only 20 minutes from my home. I will be back. Maybe I will try and different type of tamale. As always, your mileage may vary. read more

I've been going here for a bit. And noticed I never gave it a review. Implausible! So this place is ran by a husband and wife team. Their food is clean and phenomenally delicious! Tamales are full of meat when they have them. And the carnitas is cooked to perfection. No fatty parts on the plate. The asada is great as well but they don't have a steak it's chopped already. I prefer a piece of meat. But again no biggie. The rice and beans is classically perfect. And the corn tortillas are fresh and everything is packed just right. Have to try their pozole. Eat in or take out. Both are great. The restaurant is Super clean including the restroom. And the dynamic duo are always happy to see you. 5+ stars! Oh and pricing is very fair for the level of food. This small, quaint restaurant is nestled in a small strip mall off Tustin Ave in Orange, CA. From the outside, it's easy to miss the restaurant while driving North on Tustin. The parking lot is small also. When you enter the comfortable-lit restaurant, you are greeted by soothing Spanish music. I came, in for the first time, close to Thanksgiving. The decorations were appropriate for the time of year. Very nice setting to enjoy a delicious meal. The young lady gave me an inviting smile and greeting as soon l entered the establishment. The first time I came through I got the signature item, Tamles. I got 3 green-sauce chicken tamales. They were small, but full of meat and very flavorful. They were well-packaged and came with homemade hot green salsa. You can choose red salsa too. I got the green. She included napkins and salsa without me having to ask. This is a plus nowadays because most restaurants won't give you anything more than the order if you don't ask. The chicken was so tender and the tamales were well complimented by the salsa provided to me. The tamales may look small but once you start eating this art you come to realize it's worth the $3 for one. The cost was around $3 each as of 11/21/23. I did eat all 3 but was full. The following day I felt like I had to try out their $2 Taco Tuesday deals. These were Street tacos with your choice of Pork, chicken, or Steak. I went with 2 steak and 2 chicken. The Asada was so flavorful and delicious. Add the salsa and it is amazing. The pollo was not shredded. It was more cubed. It was delicious but dry-tasting. I put extra sauce on it. I was hoping the same pollo in the tamales would be in the taco. It was good but I prefer the Asada. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for the hospitality, cleanliness, and taste. I came to buy 3 dozen tamales and they were so dry, no flavor hardly chicken and very disappointed paying over 157.00 to bring to the company family and not one came out moist. Even putting enough salsa did not help. This is unacceptable. Don't know if it was a bad batch, changed their cook but $45.00 dollars for a dozen not okay.
