The most delicious tamales I've ever had on this side of the border. The salsas are really good too!!

One of the best tamales that I've ever had. So many types of tamale. Service is excellent. Someone is always there to help you and give you stuff asap when you ask. The place is small, but clean and makes you feel cozy. Most of the time, people come to buy for togo. It's pretty busy. Since it opens in the morning, people keep coming in and out to buy a lot of tamales.

Big fan of this place! I haven't had tamales too many times, but I could tell that these were really good. My friend who lives in San Diego agreed! When you're that close to the border, they've got to be good! The meat had a great texture and I loved the flavor of the masa. The shop was pretty small and located in a strip mall. It's definitely more of a takeout spot, so don't plan on hanging around there for too long. We ended up eating our tamales in a park, which I highly recommend, because they can be a bit messy. There was only one woman working there, but she was very sweet and packed up our tamales nicely. Highly recommend if you're looking for a chill tamales experience!

First and last time going to this place ! I got their contact from a family member as I was in search of BEANS only tamales. I called the restaurant and asked if they sell beans ONLY tamales. They tell me yes and that they have 7 left. I ask if they can hold them for me and I would be there in 15 minutes. I arrive to the restaurant and tell the man I was the one who called about the bean tamales. Before paying I SPECIFICALLY asked if it was beans ONLY on the tamales because I do not eat any animal products ,meaning no meat or dairy !!! The man said YES ! So I paid almost 30$ for 7 tamales and they all had CHEESE !!! I'm so upset because I noticed after already taking a bite. I had to check them all to see if they all had cheese and they all had cheese! I called the restaurant to let them know i had been given bean AND cheese tamales and the women who answered basically said " o well we can't do anything about it ".

I call these "massales" not Tamales!

I've been coming here for years. The tamales was always full of meat, and the salsa was the icing on the cake! But they have been slowly loosing their way. I recently bought 2 dozen of pork tamales on March 1st because they were out of Beef. The tamales was a little under cooked, and basically ALL masa! They also changed the salsa a few back, but it was still good. Not as good, but still fairly good. After this last purchase which was $70 for 2 dozen, they just lost a life long customer. I'm not paying all the money just for under cooked masa.

We ordered the peach, matcha and coffee jello coffee and each item was solid! Glad we were able to get parking and a table because they were quite busy on a Sunday afternoon! Don't let that deter you guys from trying them out, they're a solid choice for a post dinner date dessert or on a hot summer day!

Parking lot is small but there is some street parking nearby. The smaller shaved ice options were about $10 and larger creations for $18. Small selection of coffee and tea drinks as well were available. There is almost no service interaction, self-clearing tables and kiosk to order. The humans were in back making desserts and calling out numbers. The seating area is cute but only has about 8 tables inside and 2 outside. We order Hawaii cups, one serving size, matcha, matcha non-dairy and peach. Matcha with dairy was the best flavor. It had whipped cream, a large serving of matcha flavored shaved ice, extra sprinkle of matcha, scoop of ice cream and jellies on the bottom. All cups are cutely decorated with deformed bear faces.

The standout was definitely the mango sticky rice ice cream, it was creamy and delicious. The sticky rice was a good mix of salty and sweet. Mangoes weren't quite in season yet when I visited, so my mango was a little sour, but I liked how they used fresh ones! The interior is so cute and of course mango themed. The wait wasn't too long, but they do warn you that it will take longer if you get the shaved ice since they make it to order. Overall this is a great spot to take any mango lover!

Don't let parking deter you away, it is absolutely worth it! We ordered the Rose Lychee Kakigori and Mango Sago. While kakigori may have a little bit of a wait for it to be prepared, very much so worth it. Both desserts are huge, very shareable and the perfect dessert for a warm summer day. The perfect amount of tapioca in the Mango sago and a variety of fresh cut mango, mango pudding and mango ice cream to enjoy! The rose lychee kakigori looks like a huge snow pile but hiding under the delicious snow is an abundance of lychee fruit and jellies to enjoy. Getting a spot for a large group can be tricky but definitely add this to your just try dessert list!
