So about close to 10 years ago i had the asada quesadilla. It was good! So fast forward to 2023 and i tried the carne asada tacos. They were flavorful and filled with enough meat and no fat . The only complaint is the salsa which was mediocre at best. It needed more garlic and onion and spices.

Alright I forgot to take pics of the food because it was so good. I got a quesadilla con carne asada, oh man, flavor was amazing, meat was tender and the Chile sauce they gave was flavorful and had a mild spice. Also an order of barbacoa tacos. I am not a fan of barbacoa but thought I'd give it a try one last time. This will be the only place I get them from. Small little drive thru shack and the line moved pretty quick. OH GET AN HORCHATA!!!!!

I've came here before so I recommended this place for me and my hubby to eat, however when we got home we were severely disappointed. We got the tripas with two barbacoa burritos. The tripas were so mushy no crunch at all, and so very salty, the barbacoa was also very salty. I will say those salsas were very spicy and delicious but on the same note one half of a tiny key lime for 6 tacos is very diabolical. Service was excellent the lady was very nice and helped my husband with any issues he had describing the food (he doesn't speak Spanish) so I had him order to practice lol I really wish I could put 5 stars because the lady was wonderful but the food was just not it. Mind you for almost $30 is crazy read more

Tried this place for the first time on Friday night. Only a few cars ahead of me but it didn't take long to place my order. I went with tacos de asada and asked for a papa asada as well. I was told there were no sides. To bad I love papa asada's with my tacos. I also orders the aqua de pina colada cause it sounded delicious. Order was ready in less than 10 minutes. Got home and prepared my tacos. They were pretty delicious the added cilantro and onions and salsas filled the tacos but I still woulda loved a papa too. The aqua was pretty good too.. read more

Love their tripa tacos! Their hot sauces are delicious and super generous with the condiments. The agua frescas are also yummy! The steak is okay, the last time I got steak tacos the meat had a weird taste. read more

The man that works here steals from its customers. I got three burritos at $3.99 and an order of asada at $9.49 (which is already a ridiculous price for what you get) he charged me 26.25!!!! So I paid him in cash and drove off. It should've been $23.25. Oh and he didn't give me a receipt. Knowing damn well he had overcharged me. He stole $3 for me. If he overcharges every vehicle $3, it adds up. Check your receipt! And confront this man who has no manners. When I went back for my money his face said it all. He knew he stole from me. The girl worker printed the receipt in front of me and it said $23.25. How could he confuse that amount with twenty-SIX???? they didn't even apologize. Rude rude people. Don't go here. And ALWAYS CHECK YOUR RECEIPT. read more

I've been going to this place for years! And they tacos are ALWAYS cold. I went again last night and I can truly say that I never thought I'd see the day that my tacos would be nice and hot. I give 3 stars because although the tacos were delicious, the salsas are disgusting as hell! They taste like water I feel like they don't care about the sauces they make, but they truly make a difference. They need to step it up cause those tacos are pricey. I'm still undecided if I'd like to return or not.... read more

I wanna say i don't think i'd try it again but then i also ate my tacos long after they were cold so they probly deserve another chance. The carne asada just looked like it had mystery parts in it.. and the biggest thing for me is that they dont have a salsa bar where u can get veges, as they do at don cuco (also no al pastor..) read more

Better tacos than taco tote. Very small place . There are no indoor tables. The cooks look like they're really crowded in the small kitchen they are literally elbow to elbow. Wish they would expand.. they are always busy. Good food ... definitely worth the wait read more

This is a real taco stand not a restaurant. It's right behind the 7 Eleven/Alon gas station on the corner. This place is pure Tex-Mex, the plate of 4 little tacos is cheap and filling (if you're not starving, no beans/rice) and tasty - taste is the key word here. You could spend a lot more for a lot less. You've got to try this place. read more

I love the tacos de higado here if they EVER have them. It's been a couple of times I come and they're out of them super early. Also I asked for a barbacoa burrito for my daughter with the onion and cilantro on the side and they put it inside anyway. That was not the problem... my husband took it back and they had an attitude! Then they made it again and I don't know where they're from, but a barbacoa burrito with beans is disgusting to me and my daughter hated it. I probably will not be coming back again. read more

Because that first visit stuck with me, I went back recently to try their lunch special with a friend. For $26 you get an appetizer, entrée, sides, guacamole, tostadas, and dessert. It's honestly a great way to try a range of dishes without committing to just one plate. Funny enough, it doesn't look like a huge amount of food at first... but we were completely stuffed by the end, so kudos to them for balancing portions well while still giving variety. Standouts: * The octopus cocktail appetizer was excellent. Bright, fresh, good texture. * Carne asada was cooked exactly right. Tender but still had bite like a proper steak. * Mushroom components in several dishes were surprisingly flavorful. * Desserts were a highlight. The arroz con leche arancini especially. Crispy outside, creamy inside, not overly sweet. Very well done. Some things were more middle-of-the-road: * Salmon dish leaned bland, lots of texture but not much flavor. * Guacamole tasted a bit acidic. * Goat cheese in the enchiladas was subtle to the point of disappearing. * Corn and mashed potatoes were fine but nothing memorable. Timing was reasonable. Food came out in about 20 minutes, but with a full meal you'll want to plan roughly an hour to an hour and a half total if you're not rushing. One practical perk: they validate parking at the Plaza garage next door, which downtown absolutely needs more of. Overall, beautiful space, solid service, some really strong dishes, and a few that could use more punch. Still very much worth checking out, especially if you're downtown already or want a nicer but still relaxed lunch or dinner spot. I made a reservation and our family of 5 had an incredible dinner. The service was exceptional - he was so attentive and wanted to make sure everything was just right. The food was some of the best we've eaten. The menu was diverse, and everything sounded so interesting. We had the pulled pork bao tacos for an appetizer, which were perfection - I could have just eaten them all night. My daughter ordered the green chili alfredo, which was as delicious as it was interesting. I ordered the pesto divorciados, and it had such complex flavors that paired together perfectly. My wife ordered the baked penne, and it was also just as delicious. We all agreed that all three entrees were just next level. My two youngest kids got kids' meals, which were homemade, delicious, and very kid-friendly. The atmosphere was fun, festive, and perfect for a date night or a fun night out with friends. We will absolutely eat there again before we leave town. Run don't walk to this restaurant.
