Our first time coming here from San Diego. We were glad to see a Filipino restaurant in Santa Rosa. The place offered a lot of seating, and although could use better lighting, the service makes up for it. We ordered tapsilog (not pictured, but was good) and bangsilog (also good). The cook said they ran out of the bangus that normally goes with the bangsilog and offered us either tinapa or the bangus belly which we gladly took. The side of sliced cucumbers, tomatoes, mangos and onions added a very nice touch to our meal. Overall, glad we got to try this place and recommend.

3rd time here at Tambayan Filipino Eatery and it just keeps getting better. This time I ordered the Crispy Pata and it's true what people are saying now, it's really delicious! I literally finished everything. For those who say the food isn't good, that might have been a year ago. Give it another try you might be saying "wow so good!" too. The only downside is the restroom is located outside and requires a key, so sometimes you have to wait your turn. But when it comes to the food? Definitely worth it. So good!

This is a classic hole in the wall, Filipino restaurant with all the trimmings. Service is efficient and friendly, food is great! Ambience is small and cozy with a surprising amount of tables and chairs - - otherwise a simple eatery. Filipino sauces and seasonings are available for purchase as well. Yum! Parking is plentiful in this shopping center. They're also open late till 10 PM.

The workers here are SO NICE and sweet, that itself could be 5 star rating. Even the owner came around to say hello. Would 100% eat here again if we're ever back in town. The lechon kawali is probably some of the best I've eaten outside of the Philippines. The kare kare was good, and the bagoong was on the side so you can determine how salty you want your plate. The mungo was okay. I'm a sucker for my grandmas mungo though so there's some bias here. Chicken adobo was delicious. Pork sisig was good but seemed to have a lot of cartilage in it, or something of that consistency. The portions weren't as big as I expected, but it was able to feed 4 adults and 2 children enough for us to still have space for dessert. THEIR UBE ICE CREAM, mannnnnnn. They add some rice krispies to add crunch, soooo goood. This was the star of the desserts for me. Was a cute restaurant and felt very family oriented. Again, would def come back to try some other plates!

The best Filipino Asian Restaurant in our area. Tons of options from fish to meat, soup to veggies. Very friendly owner and always wearing a good smile. If you want authentic Filipino Food. This is the place. My whole family loves this place.

Really yummy food and very friendly service. This is a great place for take-out or casual dining in. Very homey and welcoming. It is a little pricey for the portion size, but worth it to support a small business that has such high quality food.

I haven't had Filipino food in a long while. This brought back the flavors reminding me of my grandfather. The food was all delicious, the service was fantastic! Both hosts were very attentive. I normally do not have room for dessert but we decided to try Alittle of everything and it was all so scrumptious. First time trying Halo Halo

Bad customer service. I placed an order online for 2 orders of veggie lumpia and lechon kawali. According to their online menu lumpia veggie was 9 pcs but when I got to my destination I realized there's only 8 lumpia in my box and there's supposed to be 18. I called them but apparently the compnay the made their website made a mistake and put 9 pcs instead of 4pcs. They only apologized but didn't make it right. I told her if you were on a customer's stand point how would you feel? She said there's nothing they can do. Lumpia veggie does not taste like an authentic Filipino Veggie Lumpia, disappointing overall!! And before I could screenshot the website they had change the menu already. Do nit recommend this place at all!!

Fried chicken skin perfectly seasoned and crunchy. So good by itself. Even better with beer.

We were excited to hear about a Filipino restaurant in Santa Rosa! A friend had gotten take out that they really enjoyed so we decided to give it a try on a Saturday evening. We were immediately greeted by a delightful server named Kerry. He was all smiles. I explained that this was our first visit and could he recommend some dishes. He has several favorites so we took his advice and we ordered the pork lumpia appetizer, lechon kawali (fried pork) and chicken ginataan (coconut milk sauce with chayote, carrots). The lechon kawali was beautifully prepared, crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. It came with a dipping sauce and a dish of pickled relish. The chicken ginataan was very creamy and mild tasting. It looked like a bowl of curry but it is seasoned with turmeric so not spicy. I had to look up what a chayote is. lol! Not sure if I've had it before but it appears to be a squash. My dish came with a scoop of white rice. Kerry was one of the best servers we've had in a long time. Very friendly, pleasant, attentive and willing to share his knowledge of the Filipino cuisine. We enjoyed our meal and as we were leaving, he thanked us for coming in. We had a very positive experience and enjoyed trying Filipino food as it's not a common find around here. Look for the Chevron station and the restaurant is tucked away in a shopping center next to Anytime Fitness.

This isn't a huge issue, but it's a bit awkward without any seating inside or outside to wait. Luckily there is a coffee shop a few doors down that make a great latte. The seating at the kitchen counter was great. We got to see the pastry chef do her thing and see the line of food being finished and sent out by the owner. It was entertaining and their flow was dynamic and efficient. We ordered the Kare kare, sisig, stuffed eggplant dish and fried lumpia with pickled carrots and radish. Our waiter was very friendly, accommodating and was thoughtful. He brought out rice for us while we ate our eggplant and eggrolls without having us to ask. Definitely need the spiced vinegar sauce to go with the eggplant. My guy said he missed the egg that usually goes on top of it, but we still ate it all. The lumpia and sisig were delicious. The kare kare with the oxtail croquette was perfectly cooked and presented. The veggies were perfectly crisp still, sauce was smooth and creamy, and meat tender. I just missed the sautéed bagaoong (shrimp paste) that is usually added on top to give it that extra umami. I'm not sure if they just forgot it or was trying to cater to a different palate. All in all, a wonderful place for those new to the cuisine. It was just missing the fragrant extra sauces or accompanying touches that make it really authentic. I'll come back for the lumpia, other dishes and desserts. Didn't get to try them this time, but the mango float looked heavenly. They have a tasting menu of about $68 per person to try an assortment of their best hits and noticed that you get a small portion of some apps, the kare kare at least and a small dessert with it. I think that's a great price for it.

We ordered the kilawen, chicken Inasal, sisig, pancit, and adobo rice. Everything was good but as Filipinos we still had our thoughts. The kilawen was probably my favorite, it was so refreshing, flavorful, and well balanced. A great appetizer to have, it came with plantain chips. The chicken inasal wasn't anything special, just was like grilled chicken, didn't have much popping flavors. The sisig was my boyfriend's favorite! I thought it was a bit salty and not sizzling enough, but it was still good. The pancit had a very citrusy flavor profile to it, I liked it. The adobo rice was our issue. As a Filipino, rice is a must with our meal. We got all of our food but no rice and had to flag someone down for it. All to be told, they ran out of rice for the adobo rice so they gave us garlic rice in the mean time. The garlic rice tasted very buttery, more butter than garlic I'd say. We practically finished our food, and wanted to cancel the adobo rice and it eventually came out. It was good, but by the time we got it we were so full. I'd say note for the resto - have the rice ready with the meal... esp as a Filipino restaurant. We ended with the turon which came with langka ice cream and the tres leches. Do not miss out on the tres leches!!! It was soooo good. Milky, soft/moist, didn't break apart or crumble in a bad way. I'd go back just for the tres leches tbh.

I first heard about this place on social media when a few prominent food bloggers reviewed this spot and said their wings were the best wings outside of the legendary wing spot located in San Francisco. So I watched the videos and saw the pictures and I was truly excited to try them out. Well Mothers Day rolled around this year and I needed to bring an appetizer to my mothers party we were having that day in American Canyon & the idea of finally trying out their legendary dish was my entire focus. Driving down from Sacramento to get this dish wasn't the easiest of drives on a holiday but I was determined. I called my order in and as the saying goes, the worst the service the better the food-well I was pretty sure my food was going to be legendary based on that phone call. I ended up ordering both the Garlic Sauce Wings($15.95) and the Salt & Pepper Wings($15.95) This restaurant shares a decent sized parking lot with multiple tenants-so parking is not an issue. The neighborhood isn't the best part of Vallejo but I haven't had any issues yet with car security during my visits. When I arrived the restaurant was pretty busy but I noticed a worker had a full table that was full just for To-Go orders and I walked up to her and she handed me my receipt so I could go up to the cashier and pay. 5 minutes later I was in my car totally engrossed with the smell of this amazing chicken. I consider myself a true chicken wing expert and when I say these wings were pure flavor bliss-I truly mean it. The garlic sauce wings were a mix of sweet and savory and garlic with a slight spice-a wet wing experience that makes my mouth water just thinking back on. The salt and pepper wings were perfectly seasoned and a bite of that wing paired with the onion and Jalapeno toppings that come with the dish, can only be described as pure excellence. The chef truly has mastered the recipe and cooking technique on both of these dishes. Fun fact-due to various events in my life,I've had to drive to the Bay Area a few times since Mothers Day-I've been to this restaurant three times now in less than a week-I would say the love affair with this restaurant is burning quite hot at the moment.

To be fair, I've never had San Tung's wings before. Now I have to try to compare them. Family owned so if you come late, they're pretty backordered from dine in, but primarily takeout it seems. The sauce is soy sauce based - salty goodness. Wish there was actually some heat (there are chili peppers, but not spicy at all). Felt like it was more decorative since it didn't add any flavor... Onions are great, wish there were more as well. Rice is charged per person, so they just gave us a bowl - presumably you can refill? We also tried the honey walnut prawns, which were okay. Not a ton of shrimp but reasonably priced. Leaned more on the tangy mayo side than sweet, would probably try something different next time instead to accompany the wings.

Severely...overcooked. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/ang-hapag-kainan-the-dining-table-petaluma?select=fHZo1Q8uHVbZnAjFCepSeA#idunyxBebxpkFvGE5GfX-g So WHY would I still GIFT them 2 stars? Well, I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt that they MUST be doing something RIGHT somewhere (which I'm pretty sure is COMBO #2)...that keeps them open and leads to long-arse-lines during lunch time. So next time we meet...I'm going to try just that...and find out if that is their REAL (and only) mainstay after all. Yelp 100: 13/100
