Lina and the girls here are so good at what they do! I started with acrylics but recently switched to Gel-X because they last me, literally twice as long. They're off the 94 or 8 freeway close to SDSU. Go see them!

Found my new spot! Tammy did amazing! She used to do my nails at another salon years ago and I loved her work then! I stumbled upon this place because i wanted to get my nails done but didn't want to drive too far to the place I usually go to. Needless to say I am so happy with my nails and will be returning! She introduced me to gel-x. So far I'm loving it. I also got a pedicure and both ladies took their time to perfect their craft and the results are great!

So sweet and accommodating! I called last minute, the day before Christmas Eve and they were able to squeeze me in before closing. My nail tech (I think her name was Hannah) made sure to get my nails exactly how I wanted them. And the girls around me were working on some beautiful nail sets with their clients. Moved earlier this year and had to find a new nail salon. Luckily, I came across this place. The girls are great and their work is phenomenal. I believe the techs name was Lynn, showed her an inspection picture and she delivered. Very happy with them!

This salon has some of the most talented nail techs. They are all kind and the vibe is always tranquil. I appreciate the drinks they provide. Also Tammy is so deserving of her nail salon. I used to go to her years when she worked at Lily's nails in city heights (her current mother in laws place also great service there ) but she left during her pregnancy and i stopped going. Crazy to have found her again and to meet her now 4 yr old daughter!! I always leave happy ‍ they're the best.

I've been coming to Tammy's Nails since before the salon even opened, and I've followed Tammy and Lina because they are both incredibly talented, kind, and hardworking women. It takes serious dedication, strength, and passion to open your own nail salon and Tammy did exactly that. Lina always goes above and beyond for my nails and toes. I can give her a general idea without even showing a photo, and she still brings my vision to life every single time. I always leave happy, and I constantly get compliments. Tina is amazing at nails her nail art is out of this world. And Lin got me into gel x and let me just say, I'm never going back. Every single person in this salon slays. You can feel the care and skill in everything they do. Lina has a special place in my heart. Thank you for making my nails and toes look good and for making me look good. I'll never go anywhere else, and neither will my family. We love the service, the quality, and the energy here. Don't let one picky review distract from the real experience. Went back here again for a new set for Valentines and pedicure at the same time. Linh did my nails again and she just getting better and better. This set was so lovely and super on point for Valentines. Linda did my pedicure as well, and she was so sweet and attentive, 10/10!

I'm so happy I found this place when I moved to La Mesa! They are fairly new and do a great job. Cindy does my pedicures (great massages) and Tammy does my gel-x nails. From what I've observed, all the ladies are talented in the nail design arena- which is great! I usually just give inspo pics to Tammy and she comes up with something I'm always happy with. They are nice and offer refreshments to enjoy during your appointment.

Linh absolutely ate my nails up! I asked for nail art on my natural nails, and she recommended builder gel--let me tell you, my nails have never looked or felt this healthy! Came across this place while I was walking to better buzz with my sister so we decided to stop by to get our nails done. It was kinda risky since we never been here before, but whenever we walked in there we were surprised the place look extremely clean and beautiful. They told us that they are just doing soft opening, but they accepted us in anyway, one of the nails techs there shows us her work and they were all so beautiful. We decided to go with this 3D flowers design that I have saved on my Pinterest for a while. And the tech did not disappoint, our nails came out beautifully. My sister and I will be coming back to this place to get our nails done from now on. Highly recommended!! Not to mention they also offer soft drinks. Very friendly staff and environment!! read more

It was my first time at Tammy's nail and spa and I loved it! I was previously going to a different salon but I didn't like them anymore so I was on a hunt for a new place. After today's visit I know this will be my go to nail place. Everyone was super sweet and I loved my French tip nails, which I'm usually really picky about them not being too chunky. Although pricey, which sadly affected what I could tip (because they earned it!!!) they were extremely attentive to detail,worked together if they thought someone else could do a better job at my requests, and genuinely seemed to care and made me feel at home. I finally found my go-to nail spot! I've been to lots of other places and would always leave not feeling totally satisfied. Not this time!! My Gel-X set was done by Tina and I was so impressed by how gentle and meticulous she was. I showed her a design from Pinterest and I think it turned out better than the reference photo. Tina is so sweet and she kept making sure I was satisfied with all she was doing every step of the way -- from the color of polish, length, shape, and so on. She really took her time and didn't rush through it, which I really appreciated. My natural nails and cuticles are thin so they ALWAYS bleed when other nail techs clean my cuticles. Tina was extremely gentle while cleaning my cuticles and didn't make me bleed at all, which honestly is a first for me lol. All of the nail techs here do high quality work and are wonderful at designs! They are up to date with all of the latest nail trends. Price was very reasonable considering the quality of work. I was charged $95 for this set which included the removal of my old Gel-X set done by a different nail salon. I am obsessed with my nails. Thank you so much, Tina! An absolute genius when it comes to nails, colour, design, cuticle care, she has it all and much more! My nails were so cuteeeee. They lasted ages as well! I've been trying to find a nail salon with techs who can do French nails. I've been disappointed many times even after calling ahead to ask for nail techs who can do French nails. I called before I came in and they told me to come in on the same day. Linh and Tammy did my nails and I loved how they turned out. I really appreciated the nail prep by Linh; she took her time and was detailed. Linh had to step away for a moment, but Tammy finished my nails. I was satisfied with the French nails painted by Tammy. 3 weeks later and my nails are so grown out, but they have not lifted. I will definitely come back to get my nails done again. read more

Love this new Salon in La Mesa! It's in such a convenient location and there's plenty of parking in the lot!! Definitely super clean and the people that work here are so warm and welcoming! My great nail girl moved. Looked at several new shops. First test of the a new shop ended up being the worst mani I've ever had. One week later, I walked into Tammy's. They have everything nails, and have designers that not only welcome complex designs, but have designers that are very, very skilled!!! I found this place on maps and decided to check it out after reading the reviews along with viewing all the pictures!! Extremely lovely place with lovely workers! Tammy shop is such a vibe. Super clean. Great quality products. I have been her client since 2013 and i will follow her any where. She is my go to for pedicures as well. She makes sure the tub is clean and sanitized. I have never got nail infection or fungus i am so happy i found her and am so proud to see her open her shop. She respects my time and always gives great quality nails. Her husband works the front makes sure the nail techs speak english to make us customers feel comfortable. LINA is amazing also she is tammy sister. She usually does my nails and always gives me perfect lines and shape that slays. They are not just my nail tech they have become family. Second time coming here and I love it! My nails are very brittle so I was getting builder gel done. However, the last time I came Tammy had to fix some nails by adding nail tips. When I came back, Tammy noticed it didn't last me as long so she suggested gel-x for me to try. She said that it will help my nails grow stronger and evenly! Tammy even applied different chromes to see which one I would like best. Definitely recommend this place :) read more

Both my daughter and I got pedicures and my daughter also got a manicure, no gel (my daughter is 10). They said they couldn't do a design on her nails cause she wasn't getting gel, they could only use stickers? My pedicure was mediocre, I've never had a tech immediately go in with an electric file. I guess she assumed I had gel on my toenails? I paid for the pamper me pedi, but it felt very basic. The pedicure itself was sloppy. My daughter's pedicure was good. However her manicure chipped in a day. I get that regular polish chips much more quickly than gel, but if they only want to work with gel polish, then they shouldn't offer regular polish. I was disappointed in the end. It felt like we were being penalized for not getting gel. Even though we had an appointment, I felt like we were in the way. I'm so sad, I really thought I had found my nail shop.

Crazy because next door at Bliss there were twenty plus customers. IFancy destroyed my nail by grinding off my nail!! I was shocked that they charged me $24!!! I only had twenty. My mom and I recently visited Tammy Nails and Spa and we couldn't be happier with our experience and results. My nails (done by Lina) and my mom's pedicure (done by Tammy) turned out great and we will definitely be returning for future appointments. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the friendly staff who made us feel right at home. The salon itself is clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated, creating a relaxing atmosphere. They have a wide variety of polish colors/acrylic powders to choose from and offer a variety of nail services. I was especially impressed by my talented nail technician Lina who took her time to ensure my nails were perfect. She really listened to what I wanted and delivered beyond my expectations! Plus, the comfy chairs and great music made the whole experience even more enjoyable. If anyone is looking for a top-notch nail salon, I highly recommend Tammy Nails and Spa. I recently treated myself to a Volcano Pedicure and it was honestly one of the best pedicures I've ever had! From the moment I sat down, the experience felt luxurious and relaxing. The volcano fizz soak smelled incredible and made my feet feel so soft right away. The technician was very attentive, gentle, and took their time shaping my nails, removing calluses, and giving an amazing massage. The hot towels and moisturizing steps were my favorite part it felt like a full spa treatment, not just a regular pedicure. My feet looked and felt brand new when I left! The salon was clean, professional, and had a really calming atmosphere. I will definitely be coming back for another Volcano Pedicure and highly recommend it to anyone looking to pamper themselves.
