Last weekend we ordered our meals to-go, my son picked up our meals and brought home the wrong order. I called to let them know and explained that it wasn't a big deal, we just make this order work but wanted to give them a heads up because the other family might not be so happy. The owner called back personally to apologize and offer a free meal. The food is always great and the customer service is above and beyond. Definitely don't come in 40 minutes before closing. They'll inform you they will kick you out if you don't finish your food before closing. You have to apparently eat outside and they pack up your food to go instead of putting on a plate even though your 40 minutes early. Poor customer service and very rude. Good food but don't expect they're employees to care about your convenience about spending an excessive amount on several combo meals. read more

Whenever i want a hearty meal thats is close to home i got here. Their pastrami chili cheese fries are enough for 2 people and are super cheesy and loaded with pastrami. Had dinner here yesterday evening Monday 9-6-18 my wife ordered the1/4 lb burger w/fries which came with a side of sauce she mentioned everything was great including here soft drink however I ordered two chicken tacos the presentation was good but looks were deceiving the chicken appeared old tasteless and dry it reminded me of low budget carnival food so Tam's Burger you get 1 star for the food. I had no idea there was a Tam's Burger out in Yucaipa. Man, what a fool I was! For the unaware, there is nothing quite like the quintessential southern California burger stand. Not In-n-Out, or anything of the sort. Just any of the hundreds of independent burger joints dotting the California landscape. Of those, Tam's stands out above the fray. It's hard to quantify -- you just have to go there and take in the goodness that is Tam's. Having grown up in LA County, Tam's was pretty much a staple. Again, totally unbeknownst to me, Tam's had found their way into San Bernardino and Riverside County as well. From their perfectly grilled 1/4-lb cheeseburgers to their seasoned fries to their massive onion rings -- not much you can choose and go wrong with at Tam's. And who can beat their low prices? Not very many. The Yucaipa location is considerably nicer-looking than some of Tam's LA County locations. Not that it matters much -- you're here to chow down on that cheeseburger goodness, not critique the crown molding. read more

Stopped back in for lunch today and was pleasantly surprised on how new everything still looked. Glad to see that the service is still speedy as ever with a 10 minute wait for a phoned in lunch order. The Philly cheese steak with everything wasn't as good as last time and the fries needed a little more salt but everyone has an off day. First things first, this burger spot is delicious but i was not satisfied with customer service me and my friend received.. the cashier with the red hair up front took a while to stop what she was doing (talking to employees) to take our order. Then she asks "what would you want to order" like okay hello? Hi how are you?! Nope. Rude. Then at the end of the transaction she passes our Lids to our drinks on the counters. Like wtf? I have eaten at Tam's many times over the years. I would call it a "fast diner" not quite a fast food joint but an old-school fast food style/Greek diner. Like normal Greek style diner the menu is huge it covers the gamut from breakfast to Mexican to Greek dishes. I find the burgers and breakfast plates to be quite good; what you would expect from an inexpensive fast diner type restaurant. The lady manager charged me for a steak burrito $7.99 + cheese $1.45 + sour cream. $0.75 my burrito + tax was over $11 lol!
