I have gone to this tanning salon for years every to get ready for a beachy vacation. This salon has the NICEST staff, very professional and friendly. They make sure you are not going in for too long (ie burn). I have never had any sunburn from here and they also have very nice beds, a stand up tanner and other things like the cryo (very cold) machine for pain and skin - it was cold....but cool with notícienle resulta on the texture of my skin. I will continue to give them my business, every time, until I am snorkeling with an old age walker and cane!! ;). read more

I never had a spray tan before and was quite nervous because I had decided to get one just a couple days before my wedding to even out my skin color, especially in the parts don't get much sun. I called and easily scheduled the appointment. The gentleman on the phone told me what to do to prepare, such as, exfoliate, don't use oil based lotion, etc. which was much needed because I had zero experience. Once I arrived, Shannon was my person which made me so happy because I read many reviews praising her as the best! And she truly was so wonderful! I stopped in today for the first time and I was blown away by the amazing customer service. The reason I came here was because they have impeccable reviews on Yelp and I trust the Yelp community! Wow! They certainly did not disappoint. I got a little tour of the salon which was wonderful to see all they offer. I went in knowing sort of what I wanted - a combination of red light therapy and a high pressure bed. I like to mix the red light therapy and alternate with a stand up high pressure bed and a regular lay down high pressure bed. I ended up getting a membership package because I will be coming here on a weekly basis. They seriously have something here for everyone, no matter what your tanning needs are! Super clean. Many many many options. A lil overwhelming of the variety of beds they have to select from. I haven't tanned since the 80s so a lot has changed. Sean (front desk) was super friendly and accommodating. Spoke with John (owner) on the phone and seemed friendly enough, probs a Lil busy at the moment when I called bc I wanted info and seemed a Lil rushed. Seems like a good place to go, tried it once and will go back again tomorrow. There are two dogs there I think a Labradoodles so no need to panic if your allergic to dogs bc these dogs are hypoallergenic: ) The prices vary bc if the types of beds they have. I never thought living in LA I would need to visit a tanning salon but when the winter comes here, the sun isn't as strong and I turn pasty white. It was time to look into some indoor machine sun. Back in the day the tanning machines would just burn me in the beginning and then my tan would even out. Coming to Tan LA I have not experienced any burning...not even when I started off as pasty white. I was really surprised how quickly I got tan without any sunburn (really after my first session). They have different style beds for your own budget but I went with the KBL and Magic beds (which block out almost all of the burning rays) and I'll never go back to the older style beds that burn you. You know the monthly deal for $30 unlimited? If you want crappy beds that burn you for super cheap, this is not the place for you. The KBL beds are a neon light show with misters and relaxing music. It has 3 settings for the type of tan you want. The Magic is the spaceship looking one that basically makes you feel like your going to be transported to another dimension. Agin, this model has music, misters and fans. It has a more purple light that isn't as bright as the KBL but the Magic is much more intense. I alternate between these 2 beds for the best tan. They also have these versions in stand up if you don't want to lay on your back. The facility is always clean and so are the rooms and beds. They have spray deodorant in the room for you to use after (I thought it was just for decoration until I asked. Lol). 99% of the time I go there, I can just walk into whatever room I need. I have only had to wait for a stand up once and it was only a couple minutes. They have single, weekly, monthly, yearly plans and give a discount if you setup auto payments. If there is anything that might turn you off, it might be the prices but the owner will work with you on the right plan/pricing for you. You have to remember that these machines are the best of the best and they don't burn you...so that does cost a little more than the standard tanning salon with basic beds. Plus it's LA, so we just pay more across the board. Plenty of parking as well. I hope this helps! read more

Wakes in around 8am Saturday and was greeted by a man (whose name has slipped my mind.) He asked a few questions, trying to find the best pricing for my preferences. I have a tricky skin type and he totally understood what I explained. After talking for a moment, I realized I wanted a monthly membership, next step from the bottom tier. He supplied me with a sample of lotion and didn't push me to pay immediately, made me feel very comfortable. If you want the best spray tan go to Shannon she's super sweet and you'll be beyond happy with your results, I just did the new Versa spray booth with Level 2 and prep and the color looked very natural. I have to give this salon a full 5 stars for their customer service, I'd give them 100 if I could. So last week, I went and bought a couple sessions in their various tanning beds such as the KBL, Magic and Orbit. One of the managers helped me pick out what beds to choose and hooked me up with a discount on one of the lotions. He was very helpful and attentive to his customers. Unfortunately after two sessions, I had an extremely freaky and rare reaction due to the UV rays and I got terribly sick. I called a couple days later and talked to the other owner, I believe his name was Gary and he apologized profusely and said that he has never heard of this happening at his salon, which they've owned for 20+ years. He then offered to refund me for the full service and everything I bought even though I had a couple remaining sessions. On top of that, he offered to pay for my doctors visit, I declined because that had already been taken care of and IN ADDITION, he gave me a free spray tan session with Shannon. Ladies and gentlemen, this is how a business should be run. I was so impressed and have been raving about them for days. So I found this place on Yelp and decided to give a call. I was surprised that a guy answered but he was really helpful. I asked about a spray tan from a booth and was shocked that it was only $20! ( there was a place that wanted to charge $60 for a booth ) So I went in later that day and there was two dudes working the front desk! They are so nice and helpful and make you feel like you've known them forever. They're so much better than the b*itchy girls that work in the front at other salons. The atmosphere is really laid back and my tan came out an awesome color! I was worried because my job is heavy duty and I was worried about sweating it off the next day but the tan was still in tact!
