Went here after a relaxing day. Found a familiar looking atmosphere akin to what I would see in certain parts of South Korea, especially when I wanted some late night soup on a cold day. I enjoyed the two stews and the king tonkatsu. A very nostalgic flavor. Came here for dinner with some friends who one of them was craving some BOSSAM (steamed pork belly platter). We were seated immediately upon arrival. Aside from the BOSSAM, we had also ordered a medium GAMJATANG JEONGOL to share as well (pork neck bone stew with potatoes and veggies) Both dishes came out at a decent amount of time. The BOSSAM where THICKLY cut but fatty. Every person got their own sauce plate containing salted shrimp, garlic and peppers, and ssamjang (fermented bean paste) along with a plate of LONG napa cabbage leaves, and spicy pickled daikon. Personally, i would've preferred the cabbage leaves to be shorter and wider as it was a bit difficult to eat, otherwise it was good. The GAMJATANG JEONGOL was a decent sized pot with pork neck bones with meat falling off with flavorful, falling apart potatoes and perilla leaves. I've eaten this quite a few times (in LA and Seoul) but apparently my friends struggled a bit to eat this. I've kind of grown up eating pork neck bones (from soups) so it felt normal to me LOL. Unsure if my friends enjoyed it but it was pretty decent for me. Very flavorful soup. Great with rice. Potatoes were super tender. Pork was falling off the bone but a little of a mess to eat. The waitress forgot to bring us the banchan because she had been preoccupied by this new chinese delivery guy who didn't really know english but just started delivering for doordash and wasn't sure on how to use the app (unfortunate for him it was an app glitch too). He ended up roping in a friend who spoke mandarin to help him and had resolved the problem for the waitress. Overall, friendly service at this small little kind of hidden restaurant. Nice to have another place for Korean soups, especially for dwaeji gukbap, which i have yet to see anywhere else besides this place. read more

In a lot of ways, Bossam plates remind me of Christmas. It's a dish I can't live without, but the joy comes from putting together the sides with the pork and wrapping it up like a present. When I ordered Tang's dine-in only size Bossam, I couldn't picture just how much I'd get from the main item on the menu but it's perfect to share with another or have by yourself. This is probably my favorite place so far for single-serving of Bossam and appropriately priced. Vegas' Korean food scene is really good, very good, berry good. Whenever my friends and I visit Vegas we always need to end our trip with some hearty authentic Korean food, and this restaurant really checked all our needs! When we arrived we were the only ones eating and the sweetest couple made sure we had a lovely time. Service was amazing and the place was so clean and inviting. All 6 of us were seated at a large table. We got the: Pork cutlet - 10/10 this was one of the best fried cutlets I've ever had outside of Japan, the portion was HUGE as it comes with two cutlets. Perfectly fried and thin it didn't taste oily or too heavy, the salad was also yum. Galbitang - 10/10 delicious and clean tasting, my friends cleared the whole bowl and no meat was left on the bones! Spicy beef soup - 8/10 good spicy flavor, the portion was again huge. A bit too much bean sprouts for our liking. Galbi jim- 8/10 I would say it's not the best galbi jim we have ever tried but there is nothing missing from this scrumptious dish. Meat was tender, and it had a ton of veggies, rice cakes, and cheese to go around. Banchan - 10/10. We kept asking the sweet lady for extra side dishes because they were great! She always kept asking if we wanted more too. All of the portions were abundant in food so you will definitely leave the restaurant with a nice full stomach! I saw the all day special on yelp so I came here. I placed the order for take out. One sullrungtang (on all day special menu) & don katsu (on regular menu). I noticed that it was not the all day special price. So I asked about. I was told that the all day special price was dine-in only. I let her know that nowhere on the menu says dine-in only. She pulled out the menu and days again dine-in only. I told her I came here because I saw they have all day special. Nowhere on the menu indicates that. It is very misleading. If there are limitations, it needs to be noted somewhere. Cashier asks me if I want to proceed with the order. I tell her one moment. Then she tells me that she will honor the price for today. I thanked her. I received my take-out. I check the bag and ask what kind of noodles came with my sullrungtang. Glass noodles or guksu noodles. She was silent for a moment and asked me what I prefer. I told her guksu noodles. She walks away and several minutes later she brought out a small sauce container of noodles. If I did not mention the noodles, she wasn't going to give me any because there was none in the take-out she handed me even though noodles always come in sullrungtang. There was no other banchan besides kimchi. I asked her how come there was no banchan just kimchi. She was silent. I asked if take out doesn't get other banchans and she said yea. I asked her if I can get another portion of kimchi. She didn't answer me. Then she tells me there were two servings in one container already. All in all service was disappointing. I know it is not a language barrier/communication issue because we spoke in Korean. It was also super annoying that she kept staying silent instead of replying to me. She needs to work on her communication skills with customers. Sullrungtang soup tasted water down. Flavorless. kkakdugi (choped radish kimchi) was flavorless and just super sweet. Fresh kimchi was not bad. Pretty good. Donkatsu is super thin but taste was okay. Service 1/5 Communication 1/5 Food 1/5 Quality 1/5 I would not waste my time coming here even to dine-in. 1 Star (Only because I can't give zero) I rarely write reviews, but this was such a horrible experience that I feel I need to warn others not to waste their money here. First of all, the banchan (side dishes) were awful. The potato banchan tasted acidic, like it had been sitting out for days. I couldn't even swallow it. I had to spit it out because I didn't want to get sick. The kkakdugi (radish kimchi) was over-fermented and tasted like spoiled, old food. Honestly, they should throw it out if it's that bad. We ordered gamjatang, and it was the worst I've ever had. In good restaurants, they know how to prepare pork so it doesn't smell. But here, the dish smelled disgusting, like a wet, dirty dog. It wasn't just the usual pork smell; it was truly awful. The broth and meat tasted old, like everything had been cooked long ago and reheated. I couldn't eat it. My husband ordered samgyetang, and it was just as terrible. They gave such a tiny amount of broth that it honestly looked like they were running out. I've never seen samgyetang served with that little soup! it was shocking. The flavor was bland, and the overall dish was disappointing. When we arrived, the restaurant was completely empty during dinner time, which should have been a clear warning sign. Now I understand why. The food tasted spoiled and unsafe. I honestly worried about getting sick after eating there. I don't know how this place has good reviews, maybe it's because of the sign offering a free soda if you leave a review. If I could give zero stars, I would. The one star is only for the waitress, who seemed kind and probably noticed that I barely touched my food. This was a truly horrible dining experience. My mom is from Seoul and has been craving real Korean food (not kbbq). Don't get me wrong, we love kbbq but this type of food is much more authentic. The woman helping us was incredibly sweet, helpful and kind. I'm guessing she's the owner, she was a one woman show and was on top of everything. The food was delicious and the banchan were delicious as well, I love that there were banchan you don't normally see. We ordered the spicy beef soup and gamjatang. Both were great and the broths were really yummy! It was my mistake for ordering gamjatang as I really don't like the taste or perilla leaves (they taste very strongly like licorice) and this soup is basically perilla leaf flavored lol. Oops. But that was entirely my fault, for the people who love gamjatang I have a feeling you will really enjoy this soup. For those who don't, pass. We also order mini bossam which was tender and delicious. The portions are really big by the way! My mom and I could have easily split her soup. We will be enjoying our leftovers today. Obviously, this has nothing to do with the orange powdered drink you've probably had as a child. They don't have it on the menu either. I'm not Korean so, I had to look up what "tang" means since it seems to be the cool name for a restaurant. SOUP! Tang means soup! The place is bright. It was a little chilly so, you might want to bring a light jacket. The unnies that work here are super nice and attentive. We got seated right away. They gave us iced water, kimchi and kkakdugi while perusing the menu which also served as a placemat. They have variations of soup or things cooked in water: guk, tang, hot pot, and stews. For the lover of dry food, they have pork cutlet, Bibimbap, bossam, and Korean pancakes (seafood & green onion, or kimchi pancake). They have pretty hardcore stuff like blood sausage, heart, intestines, pork neck, and ox blood (don't yuck other people's yum). For drinks they have alcoholic drinks (soju, beer, makgeolli, baeksae-ju) or soda. I honestly was craving for Korean chicken wings but I was swayed to try this place instead. I was in no mood for soup. So, I tried their bossam and dolssot bibimbap. Bossam: It comes in 2 different sizes: regular and mini. The mini is only available for dine-in only. So, iwhat size you should get depends how many people are eating and how hungry they are. You get slices of steamed pork belly, with a side of cabbage, sauces, jalapeño slices, and fresh garlic slices. I like my bossam with fresh garlic - your breath will not be the most pleasant so, make this your last stop of the day. 4/5 Dolssot Bibimbap: Hot stone bowl with rice, beef, veggies, topped with a fried egg. They'll give you a squeeze bottle of gochujang so you can use as much or as little depending on how spicy you want your bibimbap. I like breaking the yolk and leave it at the bottom while the hot stone is still sizzling hot in order to cook it. Then, I squirt some gochujang and mix it all up. There's not much beef so I was eating my bossam with Bibimbap as a side. 4/5 Overall, it was a positive dining experience. read more
