I still paid what I would pay at the reputable dealership, but the technician did not tighten the oil filter and left the dipstick open, causing my car leaked oil for the past few months. The smell was noxious and it should never have happened. I only found this out after bringing it to another servicer because of the terrible smell. I would not recommend for quality or affordable work. Speed seems to be the only priority here and not worth the trade offs to quality.

The Bridgestone tires I originally wanted were no longer available, but Richard went above and beyond to price match them and get me taken care of without any hassle. After inspecting them, Richard let me know that my brakes were actually still in good shape and didn't need to be replaced. I called before my oil change light came on and Tony told me to wait until it started lighting up. I was immediately impressed because he could've made money off me but told me to wait. A few months later, the light came on and I made an appointment. It's difficult to get an appointment quickly but I didn't need one right away so it worked out. I think he was scheduling a couple weeks out. The day of, I dropped my car off around 9am and came to pick it up around 4pm. Plan to leave your car as there isn't really a waiting area. If you walk about 10-15min you can find a coffee shop. It's also on a bus line if you want to take transit somewhere. Tony is very friendly. The oil change was reasonably priced at $88 before taxes. It was a great experience.

I was looking for a shop at least to take a look at my car, but after trying hard for 3 weeks, I didn't find anyone. One of my friends recommended Chau's to me. I called explained the situation. First, Dennis hesitated as it might not be worth repairing. I begged him to at least take a look at the photos. He agreed. After sending him photos by email, he responded within an hour that he thought it would be worth repairing but he would have to find out whether the parts were available. He asked me to give him some time to find out. Two days later, he contacted me that he had found all the necessary parts and that he gave me an estimate of repair price. The repair price was so close to the insurance company's quote, which most repair shops had told me that it was impossible. Since my friend recommended Chau's, I decided to let Chau's do it. Dennis kept me informed the status of the repair, and the repair was done within the time he had promised. When I went to pick up the car, I was surprised and delighted to find it like brand new condition. The body work was pretty, and all the mechanic issues were fixed. The price was still the same as quoted. I am very happy and satisfied. I would highly recommend Chau's.

The special stuff: I had to make some special requests as a brand new customer that they could have easily scoffed at or charged me extra for, and most probably would these days, but they handled it all with understanding without batting an eye, which not only means they care about their customers but also that it's just how they do business. That's the kind of thing that we need more of, and which wins my business. If there's a down side, it could be that their prices might be on the high side.
