No frills spot for delicious sichuan chili oil chicken! The portions are huge and definitely recommend ordering for takeout and enjoying with some white rice. I ordered online and pickup was smooth!

Wildly addicting, even for someone like me who doesn't handle mala spice well. You get quite a lot of chicken feet per order, and the added bonus is that there are few bones to deal with! Takeout only. Parking in this plaza is always a pain to deal with.

Picked up some to go after work and been wanting to try this place. Ordered the Szechuan pepper chicken and the spring onion boneless chicken feet. I ordered mild spicy and the heat was still intense but very delicious. It pairs well with white rice. The boneless chicken feet was pricy, it is charged by the pound. For 1 Lb it was $25.99 . I will be back to try their boneless chicken feet.

This is definitely my NO. 1 spicy seafood of the Chinese "Lao Zhi" The owner is from Qingdao city, Shandong (Province) China. It's a city near the sea where they are abundant in seafood. It used to be colonized by German and Russia so most of the cuisine is diverse and of etiquette flavor. Their dishes are basically the mix of Szechuan and Shandong cuisines. I highly recommend to try the series of "Spicy Seafood" every item is worth trying! This time, I ordered their signature "chili pepper chicken" and again, I was totally impressed about the sauce. Interior seating - The items here are more like appetizers or combination. It's more appropriate to order take-outs and enjoy them at home. Clean and simple decoration indoors. The owner and staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. They know what they are doing!

Wowza! This place is flavorful and definitely not for the faint at heart. I say that because not everyone eats chicken feet, tendons, or pickled seafood. I must say my favorite item from this restaurant is their marinated Japanese spicy scallops. (A++). It's amazing over rice and furikake. The other items I ordered: Onion Oil Flavor half chicken- Moist, tender, and bursting with sauce (A+) Chicken Paw with pickled pepper- Deboned for you and ready to bite into all the gelatinous goodness (A+) Honey Comb Tripe (A) - tender and tasty unlike some dim sum places that make it hard Dried bean curd (A) - this is amazing in congee and the curds are pre marinated so the flavors really seep in. Black fungus mushrooms (A) - also great over rice or congee. Full bodied flavors and the mushrooms even have a crunch to them. I'm all about textures and these are fun to eat! Potato Slices (A) - I've never had potatoes done this way but they look like Ruffles but are savory. This needs to be eaten fresh when you get them or they become flat the next day. Try it! It's differently a different take on potatoes! I've not eaten here in person only takeout thru Uber. They always get my order correct and they use recyclable boxes.

I ordered a few items for take out Tuesday around 11:30am. When I arrived the store, there was only one staff, whom was in the phone taking care of personal business despite seeing me walked into the store and waiting to place an order. She continued to speak on the phone for a few more minutes after I walked in. There was one other costumer that was there talking on the phone with her order in the table inside the store. The store was small, I had to use the restroom, and it was located inside the kitchen. I don't know how in the world the health department would passed the inspection!! After seeing the kitchen and restroom, I've already decided this would be my first and last visit. When the staff finished taking care of her personal business, she was actually very friendly, patient, and helpful. After I placed my order, two more staff came into the store and started making my order. I order a couple pounds of spicy bones less chicken feet and a couple pounds of ginger and onion flavor boneless chicken feet @25.99/lb. In addition, I ordered a couple pounds of assorted beef @15.99/lb I think When I got home, I tried the ginger onion flavor chicken feet. I was quite disappointed. First of all, they are not entirely boneless, secondly, some of the chicken feet smelled and tasted like it was old, one can tell it's not fresh. Maybe my expectations were high, so I was disappointed at this place and for the pricy $26/lb of chicken feet that others are raving about. As for its taste, it was pretty good, so I gave them a 3 star for that. They make their sauces for the chicken feet in front of you with four of the flavor options to chose from. After they mix the sauce in a big container, they tossed in the chicken feet and mix them for flavoring. In summary, there are so many options in this area for Asian food, for $26 a pound of chicken feet, I would rather pay for a crab or lobster in the future.

Located at 518 W Las Tunas Dr, Tan Cang Newport Seafood has firmly established itself as a top dining destination in San Gabriel, renowned for its exquisite blend of Vietnamese, Cambodian, and Thai-inspired seafood dishes that consistently exceed expectations. During my most recent visit, I had the pleasure of savoring the Clams with Black Bean Sauce, a dish that expertly combines the delicate sweetness of fresh clams with the savory richness of black bean sauce. The perfect balance of flavors and the masterful Chinese-style cooking techniques shone through in every delectable bite, leaving me craving more of its harmonious blend of earthy and salty notes. Another standout dish was the Kung Pao Chicken, which stood out as a personal favorite. Unlike other versions that tend to be overly saucy, Tan Cang's rendition featured tender chicken pieces, roasted peanuts, and just the right amount of chili for a nuanced blend of spice, sweetness, and umami. The House Fried Rice also left a lasting impression, with each grain perfectly seasoned and generously filled with shrimp, BBQ pork, and vegetables. The flavorful rice served as an ideal accompaniment to the other dishes, impressing with its balance and non-greasy texture. The Catfish Soup was a delightful interlude, boasting a delicate and aromatic broth filled with tender fish chunks, vegetables, and an array of herbs and spices. Its fresh, light flavors provided a refreshing contrast before the grand finale. And finally, the renowned Lobster with Black Bean Sauce and Noodles, the crown jewel of the menu, did not disappoint. The perfectly cooked lobster, enhanced by the savory black bean sauce, combined flawlessly with the noodles, creating a divine texture that truly showcased the culinary mastery of the restaurant. The restaurant's traditional interior decor further elevated the dining experience, exuding warmth and charm with its wooden accents, intricate designs, and soft lighting, adding to the overall ambiance. After three decades of patronage, I can confidently attest that Tan Cang Newport Seafood consistently delivers an unparalleled dining experience. It's not just a restaurant; it's a celebration of culinary tradition, flavor, and impeccable service. It deserves a resounding five-star rating, every time.

The shrimp in the honey walnut dish were large prawns. They were moist, succulent and tender. It had a rich flavor because of the mayo. The chow mein was full of chicken, shrimp, squid and octopus. It was perfectly crispy and saucy at the same time. We ate to our heart's content and ended up taking home plenty of leftovers enough for another meal. Our total bill was a little over $108 with tip. We will definitely be back. Parking is valet only and cost is $5.

We visited during the dinner rush, so the wait was longer than expected. Fortunately, they have a digital waitlist system that made it easy to track our place in line, and we didn't mind the wait too much. Once seated, my husband and I were pleasantly surprised to get a spacious corner booth despite being a party of two. It was comfortable, gave us plenty of room to enjoy our meal, and, of course, allowed me to take all the food photos I wanted without feeling rushed. We ordered the beef rolls, Wagyu beef Chinese burger, Kurobuta pork and crab soup dumplings, braised beef noodle soup, and Japanese scallops. As a huge scallop fan, I expected the scallops to be my favorite dish of the night, but they ended up being a little too salty for my taste. Everything else was solid. The standout dish for me was the braised beef noodle soup. While I've had stronger versions elsewhere in the SGV, this one was still flavorful, comforting, and the dish I found myself going back to the most throughout the meal. What truly surprised me were the drinks. Unfortunately, I forgot to take photos, but they ended up being one of the highlights of the evening. The menu is extensive, and I could easily see myself returning just to explore more of their drink offerings and try additional dishes. What really elevated Good Alley, for me though, is the service. Despite how busy the restaurant was, the staff remained attentive, friendly, and efficient. Our food arrived surprisingly quickly, and we never felt overlooked. Great customer service can make a good meal even better, and that's what stood out to me most about this experience. Overall, Good Alley offers a comfortable dining experience, a large menu with plenty to explore, and service that goes above and beyond. This time, we ordered the Shrimp with Cashew Nuts and the Beef with Chinese Broccoli. The Shrimp with Cashew Nuts was absolutely delicious, but unfortunately, the Beef with Chinese Broccoli was extremely salty. After just one bite, I honestly couldn't eat any more of it. I have always liked this restaurant and have been coming here frequently over the years. I've enjoyed their lobster several times with my family, and almost every dish I've tried here has been delicious. That's why I was especially disappointed with the Beef with Chinese Broccoli this time, as it was far too salty. Despite that, I still think this is a great place for lunch. Their lunch specials are reasonably priced, the service is always good, and the portions of rice are very generous. One thing I especially appreciate is the complimentary orange slices they serve to every customer after the meal. The oranges are always fresh and sweet, making a nice ending to lunch. One other thing I noticed during this visit was that the restroom now has a new premium hand soap. I don't remember seeing it before, and it was a nice little upgrade that added a touch of luxury hand soap to the overall experience. Overall, I still enjoy coming here and will definitely be back. Hopefully, the kitchen can be a little more careful with the seasoning next time .
