Pretty good Ice cream for lunch. There's seating in the back to look at the hills. Nice area to have the old guy in your group ask all the strangers what brought them into Taos and how they survive.

Wow this was unexpected! We had high hopes. Right when we entered we had some unfriendly help. We were not aware that no samples were allowed.. our biggest mistake! There are no non dairy options, just an FYI. The lemon lacked flavor, depth, and tasted quiet mute. I pitty the cow who's milk was used honestly. Some of the worst lemon ice cream I've had before. The peach ice cream tasted like freezer burnt yogurt. Not my favorite at all. That being said, the Mexican chocolate was great. The ice cream was definitely not worth the price! The scoopers were very nice, but the cashier was quite rude, and felt he was fairly unprofessional. We liked the microphone though.

Decent lunch (minus the stale chips) and even better ice cream! Some reviews note unfriendly or even rude service but this was not consistent with our experience. The backdrop of the river was lovely for a relaxing stop and gave the kids a chance to play for a bit.

Best Reuben on the face of the Earth. The Ice cream is good too, and it is a staple of Arroyo Seco.

Ice cream is good. Service is meh. Not a ton of options for ice cream in the area so we were happy to make the trip.

The other side is a small restaurant, where you order at the counter in fast food fashion, then find a place to sit. I ordered the beef enchiladas plate and my wife ordered the bean burrito, then we found a table in the bar. My wife ordered a margarita and I had a Modelo Negra (bottle and glass were nicely chilled). The food and staff were very good, and the margarita rated a 9+ out of 10. The town is a fun stop when in Taos.

As well as a WWII vet and allegedly over a hundred years old. What an achievement! So this place has been around for a long freaking time. They have very fair prices for drinks. A wide selection of craft beer in cans and bottles. The kitchen area you have to order off in the other room. Had a breakfast burrito with bacon and as simple as it was, it was so freaking delicious. The only downside to the bar is that their hours are very odd and every time I've visited and been intrigued about checking out the joint they've either just closed or I came on the wrong day. Lucked out with coming on a weekday around noon. They also have beer and wine to purchase to go. Will definitely come back next time I'm in New Mexico.

Service: The restaurant was struggling a bit with a busy evening, but they did not miss a beat when it came to service! They informed our group of 8 that things were going to take a bit longer, which was fine by us! They came by to check in on the group to make sure our drinks were flowing! I appreciated that the owners took the time to introduce themselves to every table, and even helped out bussing and delivering dishes when their servers were busy! The owners were so friendly and very passionate about the restaurant. You can tell by the quality of the dishes here. Food: The food was absolutely spectacular! I did not expect much coming here, but my mind was blown away! Each and every person in our group raved about the dish they ordered so I don't think you can go wrong with any of the dishes on the menu! For starters, we ordered the Brussels sprouts, and meatballs to share. For those in the group that were veggies-adverse, the Brussels sprouts were still a hit! The meatballs were so juicy, and flavorful. I'd order both dishes again. I ordered the smoked chicken quarter. The chicken was so tender and seasoned impeccably. The sweet potato puree was the star for me. My husband kept stealing some of the sweet potato puree from my plate! It was so good! I stole some of my husband's order of the meatloaf. It tasted so good...you cannot go wrong with that one either! Some of our group even went back here the next day to try their brunch menu!
