I love many things about my experience at Tap 42 in Kendall. One of them was the amazing decor they have inside, love the bar, I love the lamps and the vibe. Everything was awesome. The service was fantastic! Everybody working here was making sure I got everything I needed. The drink I got, which was a cocktail wasn't strong enough. I was too weak to be honest and I didn't like it at all but, the food was so good. We got the spinach dip which was tasty and a hint of spice, served with chips. Second time at Tap 42: My husband and I visited Tap 42 on a Saturday for an early dinner. We had the Crispy Calamari for appetizer. The Calamari appetizer was really good. My husband had the California Chicken Bowl. He said it was good and the portion was generous. I had the Chicken Lettuce Wraps. The chicken was not what I was expecting. I was expecting a grilled chicken but got tiny pieces of fried chicken in a sauce that was a little salty. The service was good. This time a remembered to take photos. First time at Tap 42: My best friend invited me to lunch after the movies. We visited Tap 42 on a Thursday afternoon for a late lunch. The food was DELICIOUS. For appetizers we had the Crispy Asian Calamari and a Basket of Sweet Potato Fries. My best friend had the Salmon Zen Bowl and I had the Chicken Avocado Salad. The salad is a large size. My first Yelp review of 2023, and it's not a good one. I've been Elite since 2016 and it takes a lot to encourage me to author a 1 star review, well here it is. Several friends have raved about Tap 42, specifically this location. Happy hours were discussed and we decided on Sunday Brunch. I saved my calories for this experience. We arrived before opening and there were already other customers waiting, appears to be a good sign, or so I thought. We were pleasantly greeted and I told the greeter that we had 4 to be seated along with a high chair. We were told the wait would be one hour and 45 minutes for a table, yet we arrived before opening. Friend insisted it would be worth it. I had to leave at 1:30 so we sat at the bar. I honestly didn't think it would take an hour and 45 minutes to be seated. She ordered an old fashioned and I an iced tea. Both drinks were nice. Only 26 minutes later we got a table! Fantastic! When we were seated we were sat in the area where all the food and drink is brought out. I asked where the high chair would be placed, and we were told there was room. When our server came to the table and saw the arrangements, he highly suggested that we move, for our safety. Off we went to the second table. Much better and close to the door, I had to leave at 1:30, I figured 2 hours and 30 mins was enough time to eat. I commented to a friend that it was now 11:45 and our new server hadn't come to table yet. I just had a horrible feeling. Finally around noon, Arnie, our server arrived. He offered to refill my iced tea and new drink orders were made along with two starters, the crispy asian calamari tower and the truffle street corn guacamole. Both sounded delish on the menu. The corn guac was served and yes, delish. Arnie took our main dish orders. We ordered a rack of ribs with chicken tenders, for mom and her 3 year old, a prime chimichurri steak and then I ordered the ahi tuna poke salad. We waited and waited and continued to wait longer. We flagged down Arnie about the calamari. He gave us a complete non-answer and asked if we wanted the manager. Great suggestion Arnie, best suggestion you've had all day. Yes please. Before he left he asked if we wanted any additional drinks. "Would you bring me a double espresso?" Arnie replied that he certainly would. The manager arrived at our table and explained how busy they were. We explained that we understood that but that we were one of the first people inside. She apologized and stated she would comp the calamari. What calamari? We still had not received it. She briskly left and returned with a dish of.....cold calamari. It's now about 12:45 and no main courses have been brought to the table and where is the double espresso?? I am beside myself. We ask for the manager, again. Two managers are at the table, still no food. Everyone around us is eating, drinking, singing and dancing. Except us miserable four ladies and a hungry three year old. My friends with the toddler decide they are leaving and told the manager to keep the food, they were not going to pay for it. My RAW tuna salad finally arrived. It took 90 minutes to bring me a raw salad and as hungry as I was I expected it to be the best salad ever, the lettuce was swimming in too much dressing and the salad itself was tasteless. Unbelievable. And the espresso never arrived. To say that I am disappointed in Tap 42 Kendall is a huge understatement. read more

Wow what an experience! The hospitality here is incredible, which honestly took me by surprise considering how busy it was on a Friday night. Jackie was my bartender, and let me tell you this lovely young lady knows what she's doing! She made me a Passionfruit Paloma, and I was hooked! On top of that, she was incredibly kind and attentive. The drinks are great (Guava Spritz - not pictured) as well as the calamari and crispy rice (my favorites). My husband enjoys the guacamole, however I am 50/50. In my opinion it has too much cheese, not your classic guacamole and salsa. If you enjoy truffle and guacamole then you should most definitely select this appetizer. In fact, our server knew we were "foodies" and advised us against their "not so great" items when we were ordering. He knew the food & drink well and all of his suggestions were spot on! We had: Spinach & Artichoke Dip - different then anywhere else with great accompaniments! Blackberry Smash & Smoky Maple Old Fashioned - both were incredible and worth ordering! Skirt Steak - best steak I've had in a very long time. Perfectly cooked and seasoned! The portion was enough to fill me that I didn't even eat the side dish! If you're a steak lover you will appreciate the sauce came on the side (although it was a good addition, the steak didn't need it as it was perfect on its own)! Ribs - both people that ordered them said probably the best they've ever had (and they ALWAYS) order ribs! Only suggestion to the chef - the Chicken with Cilantro Rice dish is too "wet", it needs a crunch element and the cilantro rice (although very tasty) is a little "too much", it can be toned down a bit. I went on a Saturday for brunch and I am only leaving 4 stars instead of 5 because I didn't get to experience Sunday Brunch. Food- as far as the food, I went in a group of 4 girls and we ordered the spinach and artichoke dip, it was 10/10 it came with sour cream on the side and salsa dip which was great. We also ordered chicken and waffles, the taste was there, however the french toast was completely burnt. Maybe it was just my dish or an off day... I like to give cooks the benefit of the doubt. Plus, that won't steer me away from coming back. Vibes- it was a great vibe inside. However, if you're coming for brunch and like the party atmosphere I definitely recommend to try it out on Sunday instead. My friends go all the time and say its absolutely amazing. On Saturday brunch it was honestly just more of a family oriented experience. Although the music playing was still very good. FYI my friends and I still stood up and danced the whole time without a care in the world. LOL Bottomless mimosas- They were amazing!! They recently did up the price I believe because it used to be $25 pp and now it's $30 but oh well. I had to be carried in the parking lot just to give you an idea.. so maybe take it slow LOL. We went to this restaurant with my parents and toddler recently and had an ok experience. The food was definitely 10/10 and they did have a kids' menu to choose from. The artichoke dip was a highlight! Decoration is very tasteful and bathroom is well-kept. However, the music was extremely loud, to the point where we had to switch tables so we could hear each other out and this didn't even fix the issue entirely. It's a great place if you are going with large groups for happy hour. However, if you are looking for a bit more of a family experience, I wouldn't recommend -at least not on a Friday night. Today 11/15/2022 I had lunch with three beloved friends at TAP42 in Kendall. This was my first time at this restaurant. We sat outside with the view of the Lake and the fountain. It was a beautiful day and they have fans so it wasn't hot and most pleasant. Our waiter was Alfredo and he was very gracious and gave us excellent service throughout our time there. Now for the food! It was delicious. I had the Mahi with sweet potatoes and enjoyed every morsel. My friends also enjoyed their meals. For dessert we shared the Strawberry Tres Leches (Yummy). It's Memorial Day & I decided to give Tap 42 a try. Came in with my wife & son Hostes welcomed us immediately and took us to our booth. We was really exited about the happy hour menu. Got welcome by our server about 3 minutes later. When it was time to order 2 drinks from the happy hour menu. The waiter mentioned it was not valid anymore we only had our option of $35 bottomless mimosas. I felt we was tricked into the restaurant with fake advertising for the hh cocktail drinks. Everyone inside the establishment were in a super chill mood and just hanging out, this place is good to come with a group of friends to hang out or during happy hour. They have a large selection of liquor to choose from and the food was great too. We started with the chicken lettuce wraps and short rib beef sliders which were both really tasty. We then proceeded to order our entrees, we ended up ordering the same entree which was the wagyu steak and noodle bowl which was delicious!!
