Huevos rancheros in back with veggie breakfast burrito in front. Both have veggie green chili.

It's been a while since I've come here, and instead of brunch, we stopped for dinner after a little hike. The shroom burger was well received with thin crispy salty fries! I loved my Margherita pizza. I didn't love the prices ($20-$25 for individual pizzas), but it's a prime location. It makes sense. The folks working were really nice and efficient too. Glad I came back to give it a try!

Wow! We loved this place. We ordered a burger, pizza, and salad to all share. It was perfect! Orlando was a very accommodating and kind server. And a great highlight was getting to know the owner Spencer. This man cares! It comes through every single ingredient. It's a family business so come support it.

I was craving the cheeseburger smell that was filling up the town. Sadly, this was not it. This was the most unexciting burger I've ever had. It didn't even have any seasoning on it. And sadly, it was $25. I've always wanted to try this place. Now I know.

Pressed, processed chicken? Was it chicken?

After a fun hike at Red Rocks Park we decided to stop in the small, quaint town of Morrison, Colorado, which boast a population of 400. There are many restaurants on the main street, catering to thirsty and hungry hikers. We came upon Tap On The Rocks restaurant which offered nice outside seating. We were greeted promptly and told to select any table on their deck, which is covered by a lattice roof. It's a nice, shaded deck. Water was quickly served, and after about 5 minutes our waitress came by the table and we ordered: * Cobb Salad $17.00: Grilled chicken, bacon, cucumber, tomato, olives, onion, egg, cheddar and mozzarella cheese, fresh mixed greens * House Salad $9.00 Spring Mix, Grape Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Fresh Mozarella * (2) Patty Melt $16.00 Pork & Beef Patty, Caramelized Onions, Swiss Cheese on Rye. I hate giving out 1-star reviews but Tap On The Rocks surely earned it. All four of us thought this was the worst lunch we've had in years (likely in the top 5 most terrible meals I've ever had). The Patty Melt was dry, seriously overcooked, had almost no cheese and the onions were raw red onions. Two of these melts were ordered, and they were both terrible, much of the sandwich left on their respective plates. My Cobb Salad was 95% lettuce, had a few tiny pieces of cucumber, a few strands of cheese, and two tiny bits of bacon. The chicken was some type of pressed, processed chicken, it tasted odd, was it chicken? I'm not sure if they ran out of ingredients, had an incompetent chef, or some combination of both. If you happen to be driving through Morrison, don't walk by Tap On The Rocks, Run!!

Great food and a nice AC break from the hot weather. We stayed at Cliff House Lodge on the next block and wanted to eat before a concert at Red Rocks. You definitely want to add protein to the salad if you're not getting anything else. The pizza was hot and delicious. The crust was a little too charred for my taste so I ate around it. The pizza was still fabulous as leftovers after the concert There was a big TV inside so we watched the Olympics while waiting. There's also a separate bar area.

Few things are better than a hardy and delicious breakfast after a long hike. And TOTR delivered! Great service, good food, beautiful day. We had our dogs with us and we were able to sit on the patio right away. They also have water bowls for your pups. I would return to try lunch or dinner for sure.

House marg (not on the menu, but something they had ingredients to make)

Good pizza, weak service. Waitress was more interested in her phone. Wish I had her number to text her my requests.

Pizza crust was raw in the middle and brunt on the edges. There are better pizza places to go to; such as, Dominos.

Overpriced and crust was burnt on ours and others' pizzas. But nice location if you're just looking for a beer.

There's an outdoor garden with plenty of shade. There's indoor sitting as well if you prefer. The service was excellent! The bartender was extremely knowledgeable and let us sample a few beers before we made our selection. We were really in the groove. Enjoying our carefully selected beers, exhausted and hungry, we anxiously awaited our food selection. We decided that we would share a hand tossed, oven fried pizza, ( well that's the image we had in our imaginations). I was already planning on what to drink next, since my first yummy beer was crunching my thirst and hunger at the same time. And then it happened. Our pizza arrived. Right away we could tell it was a frozen pizza, but not the new fancy kinda frozen pizza, you know the ones that are, "not too bad for a frozen pizza", pizza. This was more like, I'm in middle school and, "this is all that's left in the fridge", kinda of frozen pizza. The pizza was so bad that we didn't finish it. The salt and bad sauce ruined the taste of the beers. And my anticipated second beer evaporated into a memory

I love huckleberry and will always get it if available and this did not lead me astray. We started with crab dip which was a hit even with our baby. For the mains, my husband got the meatloaf platter and was obsessed. I had their specialty burger (a mix of beef and elk) that included arugula, goat cheese, jam and some onions - also top notch. To finish things off we got chocolate raspberry cheesecake and... Wow. Delectable. If it's not obvious, the food here is epic and I love the concept and theme. My son had the barbecue wings and they were very good. They had been smoked instead of just thrown in the fryer which was a nice touch.
