The restaurant is located in a residential neighborhood with private parking lot. There aren't many spaces but there is street parking. There is an entrance near the parking lot and one in "front". Either entrance you will immediately see the host. I was immediately greeted and seated. I think you should ask if the customer prefers pub or table seats. I'm 5-3 and I find pub style seats uncomfortable. I was lead to pub but I asked for a table and was easily accommodated. The restaurant bar is a large open space, you can see practically everything. The wood burning stove and a large bar. My server was efficient not memorable. The one moment that turned me off? I asked for a cocktail straw he handed to me with his bare hands. Please use a napkin for unwrapped straw etc!! There is a decent amount of food choices but I love pizza. I must say the Boss Pizza is excellent and the deviled eggs different in a good way. I got Pierogies to go to for a Pierogi snob; they LOVED THEM!! Would I go again? Yep and bring some friends when they have live music!

My family and I visited for the first time and always talk about how we need to return ASAP! The staff, food and drinks, and the ambiance were all excellent. Although the patio windows were not open, it still felt like you were outside with the views that were given. The patio is spacious and has beautiful gas fires on some of the tables. This is a great place for large groups! Michael was our server; he was very kind, patient, and friendly. The drinks were fun to choose from and he helped us decide on some good ones (Ten7 Double Scoop Milky Milky Shakey Shakey Peach, Top of the Hill, and Axe & Arrow Sour to the People)! For food, the Shrimp Po Boy is still a sandwich that I often think about, absolutely delicious! The Crab Cake and the Chicken Pot Pie were scrumptious as well! There is plenty of street parking along with a free private parking lot. Be careful crossing the street because unfortunately, many people do not stop for pedestrians!

Loved sitting on the patio which gave a feeling of open air while still being under cover from the sun. We ordered the pretzels and beer cheese to start which were very good! Hubby tried the Boss Pizza which has pepperoni, meatballs, red peppers, and red onions which he enjoyed. I had the 23 Burger and added an egg on top. The egg on top of the savory burger and crispy onions was so good! The fries weren't my favorite in terms of of texture (stringy) but I did enjoy how they were seasoned with parmesan and herbs. We also had the dragon fruit mango sour beer that was on tap which was a refreshing addition. Looking forward to venturing back again with friends in the future!

I visited here with my two cousins for dinner on a Saturday around 7 pm (we had reservations). It wasn't too busy when we arrived and we were seated immediately. I loved the open air feel of the giant patio room with giant TVs everywhere. I felt like I was sitting in a huge garage with windows everywhere! We ordered two apps: Cheesesteak Egg Rolls with spicy ketchup, which were really good-perfectly cooked, crispy, with a good amount of steak and cheese (and some onion), The spicy ketchup was similar to siracha sauce and I added some nice heat to the eggrolls. We also ordered the buffalo chicken dip, which was equally as good (when we finally got it). Entrees were the 15 pc wings, which were also pretty tasty. They came with a sticky sweet Thai chili sauce that coated every wing. My French Dip was just ok. I wasn't super impressed and the Au Jus was SUPER salty. My rating would have been higher but service kinda sucked. We ordered two apps--Only one was brought out (by a different person) and we were done eating the first one and wondering where the second one was. We couldn't find our server anywhere--he didn't come over to make sure we got our food or to see how it was. My cousin had to physically go look for him to tell him. Then it was brought out with the rest of the food, which is one of our pet peeves. We also had to flag him down for refills on drinks.

I had the opportunity to checkout Taphouse 23 today for brunch with friends! I have been there many times in the past, but I haven't been since COVID began..but glad we got the chance to give it a shot again! I enjoy the openness of Taphouse 23...it was a beautiful day out and the windows were open ...it helped with the patrons comfortability level! The waitstaff were friendly and prompt and this helped with the extra star in my updated review! The food continues to be consistently good! Today, I had the Pork Belly as an appetizer and the Mussels for my main course! Great decisions by me I must say..both were flavorful! There are a good variety of cocktails and beer choices to compliment most people's tastes! I am going to keep Taphouse 23 as a cool spot out in Bridgeport!

Taphouse 23 has a very nice atmosphere with the option of a nicer quieter sit down dinner in the main restaurant or more of a relaxed sport bar vibe in the patio. The menu is nicely refined to a single page and they highlight their signatures which I would recommend. Food was enjoyable, but I wasn't a huge fan of the pretzels. They were under staffed the night we went so service was a little slow because our waitress was also bartending.

Nice chill patio bar. Foods was great and nice walls that opened to be either inside on cold days or open for a nice breeze.

Last night was my first time there. I would come again. our server made us this one cocktail that has was really good. I would come here for a date night or to catch up with the girls. the atmosphere was comfortable and it wasn't loud, making conversation easy to hold. I should have taken a picture of our food. But I did take a picture of our drinks.

The selection for food is pretty limited, they got a bigger drink menu! No complaints for the food though, they looked and tasted nice. The environment is what I like about the place!they got 7 TV so you can be sure to watch ur favorite channel and they also lit up the fire at 7 made the place look even nicer. Love it!

Table and expensive $16 (ridiculous) Cosmo and it sucked.

And the ambiance is really nice -- fancy farm to table with plush seating and pillows. If you're going to get an appetizer, I would highly recommend getting the snack board to share (unfortunately this was eaten before I got to take photos). It includes delicious biscuits paired with the most perfect sausage gravy, thick cut bacon, fruit, croissant, warm donut holes, deviled eggs, and dips/jams. THEY ARE INCREDIBLE. The gravy is jaw-dropping and perfect with the texture of the biscuit -- trust me, you have to try it!!! The donut holes are fluffy and soft fritters. I also really loved the deviled eggs' flavor. For my entree, I got the breakfast pot pie (in the photo) which had the same incredible gravy and biscuit crust as the appetizer, topped with a crispy fried egg. My sister had the Challah French Toast (peach compote) which was also incredible -- perfect without being too sweet. Both were huge portions. Service was also excellent -- our waitress very kindly brought out our toddler nieces' kids' meals first along with our appetizers. She even brought out a little sorbet on the house for my sister's birthday (which also was very very good!)

There was…read morea lot of snark and attitude detected, and we were a big party, which means she's automaticaly raking in 20% on a substantial bill. And we all got alcoholic drinks, and many with desserts. The Smoked Old Fahioned was very not good. It smelled nice, but tasted like cherry cough syrup. It was like smoked cherry cordial with a splash of well-shelf bourbon. It's probably not literally well-shelf... just an emphasis on how unpalatable this was and therefore expensive for what it is. I didnt pay $15+ for some cherry cordial. Waitress vocalized distaste when we wanted to spit checks - which we told her before placing orders. Then she gave sh** about seating arrangements; since we wanted to split checks she ordered us to sit by how checks are being split. That's a new one... She said she would have to write separate checks... an obvuous approach... I endorse that plan smh. Wouldn't that be easier when it comes to "splitting checks" when all is said and done? To treat us as separate tables but still tack on 20% per check? As we are wrapping up dinner and everyone else was looking over dessert, I told her she could bring mine now since I have a 45 min drive back to CC and I have perishables. People are now eating their dessert and she's still fussing aroundat her kiosk. I eventually approach her and asked for mine again. She got super frustrated and unprofessional, and said us wanting to split bills is (exact words) "tumultuous." Does she even know what that word means? "I thought you wrote separate checks?" But she's trying to figure out how to split like $8 rolls among like 12 people. She was like, "Then who is paying for the rolls?" That is her job to find out. I am a guest, not the host of the party. I only know three other people there. She walks to the table and says (again..exact words), "Who's paying for the rolls?" As if we are planning on dining and dashing with basic dinner rolls. Why? Because we are a table of minorities? Had we been a table of all white, would she have asked HOW we would like to have it split? I was in the dine-in food service industry for several years. I had thought splitting checks was a very common practice, and I absolutely did NOT ask patrons to sit in specific order. White Dog in UC didn't do that either (or anywhere else). Perhaps White Castle is more within her playing field. Some courses in sensitivity training may aid in her professional development. And they wanted to charge like $4 per person since someone baked cupcakes.... reminder that most people also ordered dessert on top of all this. They can go pound the sand.

We started with the Blackfish classic--the hen egg wrapped in freshly smoked salmon--a must-order every time we visit. For entrées, we enjoyed the lobster agnolotti and the crispy dorade in a saffron sauce. To finish, the freshly baked beignets were light, warm, and so GOOD! Every course was outstanding. We've been coming here twice a year for over a decade, and it never disappoints. Don't forget--it's BYOB, so plan ahead. We'll definitely be back.

Part of me feels the tasting menu tonight is a bit of a letdown. 1) The caramelized onion with cream sauce is super salty to the extent that I couldn't eat it. My husband was hungry so he ate both without much thinking, but later he said the high sodium level became obvious towards the end. 2) One of the two main dishes: the scallops are super salty too! But I still ate them as there are only three medium-sized scallops anyway. 3) Seating is super tight, almost uncomfortable. You're literally on top of each other. So the restaurant became very loud and it's hard to hear clearly what the servers are saying. We didn't hear the "inedible sea grass" part, so I was poking the sea grass after I finished my single oyster. The lead female server almost "yelled"'at me. We also witnessed her harshly tell the male server to move faster to clear one table, which we find unnecessary as he was already moving as fast as the tight space allowed him to. But our tall young female server is very friendly--her warm mannerism makes us feel better during the long wait between courses. My favorite out of the seven-course tasting menu is: the smoked salmon with poached egg. It has a very balanced flavor and the texture combination makes the dish interesting. Maybe it's better not to do the tasting menu especially if it's your first visit, as it doesn't allow you to make any choice.

I'm prefacing this review by saying the restaurant was not busy at all. In fact, when we arrived, we were seated right away without a reservation. There's no excuse for how slow the service was. Our waitress stopped by to introduce herself and provide water. My fiancé ordered a zero-proof drink that came out to the table within a reasonable amount of time. I didn't order a drink. We got the Street Corn Dip to start. The top of the dip was way too overdone. It was burnt and hard to get to the actual dip underneath. Thank goodness we ordered that to hold us over because the rest of the food took an hour to get to the table. We saw people who arrived after us get their food before us. A gentleman preparing for a live music session had time to unload his entire set and tune his instruments. That should give you an idea of how long we waited. Our waitress finally checked in and asked us to confirm what we ordered because the "cooks in the back were confused with another table's order". This felt insane to me because we ordered a salad and a shareable plate as our entrees. They weren't complicated items or items that take long to make. My Ahi Tuna tacos tasted great, but again, the wait time and alleged "confusion" from the cooks was just appalling. The waitress did not apologize or come over to ask how everything was after we got our food. Instead, she was catering to other tables with larger parties. It was a very disappointing experience to say the least. I'll be sure to visit the food court next time to grab something that I know will be ready quicker.
