I was a bit disappointed in their original black milk tea (tasted like coffee a bit...) but I like some of their other flavors like earl grey. I like the option to upsize the drinks too. Horrible service!! Went in tonight 9/30/2015 @ 9pm, the place was not busy at all and there were 2 employees. Younger girl and younger guy, both seemed like they did not want to help me at all. Tried making small talk while they were making my drinks, but they both seemed irritated I was talking to them. Took 20 minutes after paying to receive my 3 drinks. I will never come here again! If you appreciate good service, skip this place, it isn't worth it, the food isn't good enough to compensate over horrible service. read more

Great bubble tea. I love fresh fruit (cantaloupe, watermelon, honeydew) bubble tea slushies and Tapioca Express has the best. Ice is fine and very flavourful--not watered down. Food is good too. Railroad bento is cheap and really good for lunch. Good place to just hang out. read more

The food are fine. I would give it an average rating. However, I am very disappointed by one the lady cashier. She was not focus on the customer. While taking the order she was counting the cash for the register. Instead of politely hand the receipt to the customer, she was throwing the receipt. Even worse, they forgot my drink! I've always enjoyed their boba milk tea and have tried their food which is decent. The drinks have always been consistent, especially their boba. They have a good variety of drinks but I usually get the original milk tea with boba. This is the only reason why I continue to go back. The customer service is seriously lacking. The cashier is never friendly and if I ask a question or ask the person to repeat themselves then I get an annoyed look. One time it was so loud because they turned the music up that the cashier couldn't hear ME and I had to keep repeating my order and she looked so annoyed that she couldn't hear. read more

Experience was not what I had expected. The girl wearing black shit with black booty shorts was not professional at all with her long half blonde ponytail. I'm here with my family with my 2 yr old daughter & this girl is yelling super loud when it's quiet and swearing as well. She had an attitude when taking our order. Ordered shaved ice and was not what I expected to be. It was not good and too expensive for what I got. Just ice and syrup was 3$ and additional 50 cents or something for each toppings you get. My girlfriend ordered the mango slush and it was not good as well. Too sour for a drink. read more

Initially I came here to do work on my laptop- this is not that kind of a place. There is only 1 outlet available, and the wifi is slow and unstable. I ordered 1 drink, it was a Grapefruit Green Tea, 50% sweet. (One of my go-to's.) I've been here a total of 4 times in 3 months. Each time has steadily been a worse experience, and after this last time I decided to write about it. The entire place is unsanitary. It smells bad and it's badly lit, two things that don't belong in a restaurant, but what gets me that the same crustiness that accumulated on the touchscreen payment tablet has consistently remained and grown, so when i go to pay, i get to be reminded of the filth of this place. The employees are unsanitary i.e. no hand sanitizer to be found, and they seem more unclean when they're mean. I have met a couple nice ones, but I had to write after this last experience because no one even knew what the flavor I was asking about tasted like, nor could they verbalize or process how they make their milk tea (not a language barrier, more like cognitive processing errors). I like smiling and speaking with a sweet tone to get what I like in my tea, but even that didn't work for this employee. She remained rude in her tone, challenging me when I asked simple questions i.e. what is wintermelon? what does it taste like? can you do it with soy? These are normal questions, and I didn't deserve that. I was becoming a regular because I kept trying to give it a chance, but again, each time it just got worse! You should 1) be nice, 2) be knowledgable, and 3) be clean, please. read more

Bubble tea is awesome here, try the snow ball fresh fruit mango or cantaloupe flavors. Watermelon juice is really good and the Dragon Green Tea is pretty awesome. Fried tofu is pretty solid as a food choice here. Service can be spotty at times but they have a huge menu and it's a great atmosphere inside with plenty of places to sit and hang out. When I asked to have half tapioca and half jelly, the girl behind the counter was very rude in her reply that I couldn't order that. It would be a different story if she as nice about it, but she was short-tempered, and didn't offer any solutions to my problem. I see a lot of people complaining about a long wait time for drinks? When it's busy a.f and there is 20 other people ahead of you who ordered already (line out the door) you should expect a delay on getting your drink.. I come almost every other weekend and it's ALWAYS busy. I feel like they do their best, givin the fact every customer orders a different drink, and they go in order. Maybe the people before you ordered a shit ton of complicated drinks that they have to get done before they get to yours! Trust me- Iv seen it before. They have a huge menu and I like to try something new every once in awhile, but I always come back to Jasmine milk tea. Screwed up my drinks so many times and gave them so many chances. Final straw was they served a rotten avocado snow bubble (takeout). When I called later, I was asked for my phone number and was told I'd have a free drink next time upon showing up. I showed up (granted it was about a month later) gave my number and it was nowhere to be found. Still they honored my request and made my drink but I was given a lot of sass for it. Their bubble tea - great! Food - great! But you already know that. You HAVE to try their fresh juices. I had come here quite a few times now and always got bubble tea and/or food. In the spirit of eating healthy recently I tried their grapefruit juice and I was pleasantly surprised - I asked for no ice and they actually made it with all grapefruit. I dropped in here with my boyfriend last Saturday with the intention of getting some bubble tea to go... After 20 minutes of waiting - while the people behind the counter walked around making themselves drinks and chatting we inquired about our drinks and got the laziest rudest responses I'd seen in any establishment- asking for our receipts and then while we were telling her that we wanted a refund she just turns away to finally even start making the drinks. We had to yell across the counter for her to come back and just give us a refund instead since they had already wasted a huge chunk of our time to not make drinks that take 2 minutes to do. I will note that there were other people there who were getting their orders at a reasonable time but they were all food orders that - with the amount of activity from the employees - were probably just chunks of meat tossed in a microwave. The rest of the establishment was sporting dirty tables that no one there had any intention of wiping down at any point during their shift and my boyfriend left with a huge syrup stain on his jacket just from brushing against the counter. The place was not overly busy where you would expect some wait time or some mishaps on orders it was literally just a business that had no interest in customer service or any type of service. read more

I've been to many milktea places and many Tapex. This is the worst Tapex I've been to. The milktea here tastes like water. It's super diluted. Doesn't taste like tea at all. I'm still fairly new to the area so this place has been the only boba spot I've been to as of yet. I've been here 3x-- the first two times were ok as far as flavor; I always ordered the taro milk tea that comes with lychee. Well I went again yesterday to order the same thing and first of all, I noticed they were done with our order in less than 1 minute--very impressive, I thought, but then when we left and I had the first couple of sips, I thought...where are the lychee?? On top of that, the flavor tasted so powdery. Whoever made this batch doesn't know what they were doing or rushed everything to a careless manner. I was tempted to go back to complain or right their wrong, but we had to go about our day. Anyway, I think we'll stop going here; we have to try other places anyway that make their products better. Plus, every time I walk in to this place, it smells of harsh chemical cleaners everywhere, or a public restroom with that chemical smell. Yuck! read more

I have been there three times. Every time came with a huge disappointment. I ordered fried pork chop noodles and fried tofu the last time I went. For some reason, the port chop they served me is a tiny piece and it's 50% smaller than other customers's fried pork chop (same order). That means their quality control is poor. The food taste is 3 out of 10 and the portion is really small compare to their price. Their popcorn chicken, fried fish cakes and fried combo sometime are overcooked and the spices they used are wrong. The only thing there that relates to Taiwanese food is the food's name.
