This was my first time here. The restaurant is very nice and the staff is friendly. The brick walls make it feel cozy with the modern decor. My friends looked ahead to see if they had gluten free options and said they did. The drinks were very good and I can see why the bar was busy. I ask the waitress, if there is gluten, free options and she said only one real option and that would be the risotto was shrimp that had a lobster sauce. I need to ask about another dish that looked good. And she stated, no, it was not available Gluten free. So apparently what is online is incorrect. I had the Shrimp and it was super yummy. I wish there was broccoli instead of cauliflower. The cauliflower was wonderful but made for a bland looking plate with all the white. Overall it was a great experience and the food and restaurant was great. Go and visit. You wont be disappointed

    Pork Ragu sauce over rigatoni

Start with the appetizers, the meatballs and the warm bread which you had to pay for that was three dollars. I mean entrée was the pork Ragu over rigatoni. The food was very good. The service was excellent outstanding very attentive. It was very busy. It's kind of noisy in there. It's very open. I'll go back.

Love Tappo! The service is always supreme!! I just have the absolute lowest threshold for spice on the planet and thought that the meatballs were a little too spicy but I'm probably the only person who thinks that lol. Food is always quick and delicious. Best cozy comfy ambiance. And that sandwich could feed a family!

Came for drink and dinner before sheas. The espresso martinis had a spritz of lemon, which I've never seen, and were SO good! I also ordered the stuffed banana peppers and they were perfection. Some of the best tasting and most beautifully presented I've ever had. Tons of parking and a quick 5 minute walk to the theater

    Outdoor decorations

One of my favorite spots to grab a meal before a production at Shea's. Great walking distance to the theatre, but more importantly service that assures your meal can go at the pace you desire, and the food is always great - I like to think of it as "lighter Italian." Best part, always $18 bottles of house wine Pleasantly surprised to walk in to some beautiful holiday decorations and decor already in full effect - very festive.

    this was the bartender

One-star nightmare. The bartender spent more time flirting with a customer than paying attention to anyone else in the room. He seemed like he was on some sort of drugs. We waited over 30 minutes just to place an order, and then another 20 minutes to pay the bill--no sense of urgency, no apology, just indifference. The glass we were served was dirty, leaving a gritty film on the rim. Our drinks tasted awful, and my friend's beer was ruined by a spoiled lime floating in it. To make matters worse, we waited 30 minutes after ordering our food only to find out the order never went in at all. A complete breakdown in service from start to finish. I wouldn't return, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone looking for a decent meal or decent service.

If you have the opportunity I would highly recommend enjoying the Igloo dining experience. You get great views of the city and it's such a cool unique experience. They give you a bottle of wine , bread, salad, chicken Cutlets, gorgonzola pasta, rigatoni and a trio of desserts and a peppermint spiked hot chocolate to go with.Everything was hot , tasty and delicious. The service was fast and friendly. I definitely had a great time and experience and will be back to try this again.Have also had their spaghetti and meatballs downstairs in the past and it's very tasty too.

Visiting Buffalo for a work conference. I saw some good reviews of Tappo so I walked over & sat at the bar for dinner. Good sized bar with plenty of seats & open windows. Enjoyed a Caesar salad & lasagna for my entree. Bartender was friendly & attentive. I highly recommend!

The igloo dinner is a must. You get a bottle of wine, bread, salad, rigatoni, chicken cutlets, gorgonzola pasta, dessert trio and a spiked Peppermint hot chocolate to top it off. With speedy service and a smile the food came in hot and delish. This experience has great scenery and should not be missed.I will definitely make a return visit.Have also dined downstairs and the spaghetti and meatballs is marvelous.

The stuffed peppers are my absolute favorite! They are always good! The other food can be a hit or a miss for me, sometimes the pasta specials are incredibly delicious. The vibes are really fun, very lively! The service is great- very helpful!

Visiting a friend in Buffalo and this place had some gluten free options for me! The front host was very friendly and found us a table for my friend and I on a busy Saturday night. I got a delicious drink I believe it was called "Crann you dig it", my friend and I both enjoyed our drinks. The caesar salad (gf style) was refreshing although it was a bit tangy. It might of had vinegar in it, I had never tasted a caesar salad like that. I ordered the fettuccini alfredo with gluten free pasta and it was absolutely delicious. The sauce was creamy and flavorful, and the gf pasta was cooked perfectly; not at all mushy. The only issue I ran into was towards the end of my meal, I found a hair underneath the sauce. I tried convincing myself it was mine, but after finding another 2 under more sauce and pasta... I urgently got our server. The manager and server were helpful in getting it figured out and getting that taken off our bill and sent back to the kitchen. I would rate this place 5/5 stars if I didn't get bad luck with the hairs... the gluten free pasta was delicious and they have many options. The staff and manager were very friendly, and handled the situation very professionally.

How warm is it inside the igloos?

Very warm; you get a cold burst when the waitress comes in but the rest of the time it's warm.

Is there a charge for eating in a igloo?

No, it was too cold this time but will be back

Has anyone tried the igloo dining?

You will need to call them ahead of time and get a group of 8 together I believe. They have a person who does all the bookings for it if you call them, they are pretty helpful in answering your questions as it may have changed this year.

    Is the rooftop wheelchair accessible?

    Unfortunately it is not.

There was a steady number of people coming in for dinner while I was there. The owner/bartender was super cool and helpful when it came to picking out a quick bite. I ended up trying the chicken pintxo and I had a charcuterie board as well. I'm not as much of a drinker anymore but they had such a great selection of wines here that I would have been able to choose from a wide variety. The chicken pintxo was great. It had a really good flavor. The skewers were shorter which was nice to try to get the food off. The bread was great and they were a really great bite. The charcuterie board had the usual components and I ate it quickly before I could get the photo, but it also had sour patch gummy bears on it which was incredibly cool. I was happy with the cheddar, brie, and assorted meats but the gummy bears made it unique and fun. I will definitely be coming back here to try more of the menu next time.

While the covering does a great job of shielding you from the sun, we discovered that it's not quite sufficient for heavy rain. We ordered a bottle of Montepulciano--a bolder, pleasant wine that paired wonderfully with the stuffed mushrooms and charcuterie board we selected. Although the menu listed the wine as a 2015 vintage, we received a 2019 bottle. The bartender was courteous about the mix-up, and we decided to stick with the 2019. The charcuterie board comes in three sizes, and we opted for the medium one. If you're unsure about the portion sizes, I've included a picture with this review. The charcuterie was an excellent choice, with the olives and cheeses being particular standouts. We also enjoyed the sausage-stuffed mushrooms, which were delicious. Overall, this is a lovely and comfortable place for light snacks and drinks. We look forward to returning in the future.

The waitress was very down to earth and was well informed about the menu. She explained Mira had a small plate concept, they encourage to order a course from each section to share. I'm not going to lie, each dish was phenomenal!! No exaggeration!! And we were actually full afterwards. One friends ordered humus, I have never been a fan. It was served barely warm, the bacon was mostly burnt, I got little to no cheese in it and the eggs were brownish gray in several parts. The hash browns were $9 for two. Objectively good but they were way too oily and heavy for me (yes, I know hash browns are fried in oil). I also didn't love the setup of brunch. You order at the counter and then pick your own seating. We had several people bringing food and waiting us throughout the meal.
