I got the #21 Quesadilla Plate
Cristina R.

These quesadillas are so good the have great flavor and the rice and beans are the little salad that they give you is just enough to put inside your quesadilla if you wanted to.. the driver was very friendly and polite thank you very much...

One of my favorite Mexican restaurants! The food was made fresh, so it was warm and delicious. This place was also packed. We came in for lunch on a weekday at 1pm and almost all the tables were filled up with people constantly coming in and out. The service was great and everything was reasonable priced. Every table also gets complimentary chips, dip, and pickled veggies. We got the fajita plate and the nachos supreme. The fajita plate was muy bueno. You can decided btwn chicken, beef, or both. The meat was well seasoned and nicely portioned. The plate also comes with sautéed onions and green bell peppers, guacamole, pico de Gallo, lettuce, rice, tortillas, and beans. Definitely great value for the amount of food on this dish. As for the nacho supreme, it was amazing too! Each nacho chip was topped with bean spread, meat, and cheese. The nachos also came with sour cream, guacamole, pico de Gallo, and lettuce. Both dishes were muy delicioso. Overall, this restaurant is definitely worth it. I will be back!

Great place and staff. The salsa is really good here and goes well with the food at just the right level of spiciness. Everything I had was great. Not too salty and well balanced. The torta bread was nice and fresh. The tortillas are on point. All the dishes I had were excellent and will be back.

I'm from SoCal and frequented baja on a monthly basis and I gotta say when i walk into this shop I feel like I've been transported to TJ or Rosarito. Amazing food old school cooking, mexican jukebox and Telemundo on the TV. I call this gringo heaven, nice to have this in h-town.

Fajita torta with stiff bread
Fortheloveoffood ..

I hate to give them a 1 star because I always use to come here since forever to dine in. But They disappoint me with the food I got yesterday and every other time I did take out. I got a fajita Torta and let me tell you. I can not even chew or swallow that thing. My bread was like over cook or something. (Like when you microwave a bread for a long time) And it was not fresh bread.. I was a regular but now I think I'll take my business somewhere else since it's not the first time that this happen. They think they can just wrap anything and give it to people that does "take out" because they know once you go home you probably won't come back to get a reorder. Well I'm one of those person. I won't come back to get a reorder but I'll make sure to let everyone know how this business does not care about people that do take out orders. I'm pretty sure they won't give you shi** food when you dine in.

Menudo is hands down the best! Much flavor and even had soft tendon.

Yes! Finally found a legit Mexican restaurant near my house! I had ubered 3 tacos and a menudo. They accidentally left the menudo out. I called and told him. The man apologized and delivered it himself!! Tacos was delicious. I had beef gravy, lengua, and pastor. The menudo was excellent! Sure hit the spot!

Our first GrubHub order from 2 weeks ago... so yummy and packaged well! Parrillada El Charro in big tray & Barbacoa in styrofoam container.

Food was not good. Service was mediocre, almost felt like if I asked for something I was bothering server. Won't be going back ever.

Michael, the owner, greeted us and took care of us! We started with the Jumbo Crab Fingers which were really good - I'm honestly not huge on seafood, so I enjoyed these a lot more than I thought I would. Ironically, I'm not big on oysters either, so I ordered the Jumbo Golden Fried Shrimp which hit the spot real good. Large shrimp, well fried, flavored, and the tartar sauce was addicting. The fries that came with it were perfectly seasoned, carrying a bit more of a cajun flavor rather than just regularly salted. My parents definitely enjoy oysters, so they ordered the Charbroiled Oysters and really enjoyed it, as well as the Uni Oyster with Quail Egg. They also got the Cowboy Lobster Shrimp Roll that was gone before I even took a second look their way. We finished the meal with a yummy, dense basque cheesecake! Every customer that came in during our time there was personally greeted by Michael, and it seemed like they were all repeat customers. It was really cool to see that kind of connection, and it really showed how much Michael cares about his customers, and how much we like his food! Indoor seating is a bit limited - all bar stool seating. I rarely comment on the music that a restaurant plays, but I quite liked it! Made me feel like I was on the bay enjoying some fresh seafood at sunset. Heard they'll be opening up their newest location at POST soon!

Second, I discovered that they're owned by the same people behind Masraff's. That's a good start. They're located in a shopping center with several other businesses, including a cat vet right next door. While it was busy, I didn't have trouble finding a parking spot. Ambiance (4/5): This is part of where By Popular Demand (BPD) shines. The interior is trendy, with both tabletop seating and more comfortable chairs and sofas. There's a small patio in the front and a larger one on the side. There aren't a ton of seats inside, so think of it as a smaller, more intimate bar. Service (3.5/5): A little slow to start out with as it took our waitress a good while to come and take our order (we were sitting on the front patio). She did apologize for the delay, and she was friendly from there on out, so things improved throughout our evening there. Food (N/A): I had dinner prior so I was on a liquid diet. I have heard they have a pretty awesome steak night on Mondays though. Next time around! Drinks (3.5/5): While they have a full bar, BPD is a cocktail bar. They have 10-12 craft cocktails, plus everything else you would expect at a bar. I went with That Cucumber Drink. I'm always a fan of any cocktail that incorporates cucumber. It was one of the few items on the menu that stood out to me. A decent number of of the offerings are more of your standard cocktails (margaritas, ranch waters, etc.) and a good number have brown liquor (while I prefer clear liquor). Not the best menu for my taste, but that's not to say it's not a solid menu. Next time around, I'll have to stop by for steak night or to try out their food menu.

Huge statues, giant artwork, crazy flooring, and all sorts of cool decorations. Whether you want to get some drinks, eat some rice bowls, sing karaoke, play video games, or dance...this place got you! There's a lot going on all at once but this place does them all right! It's an 18+ establishment and they will card you at the door. The only negative is when we were eating, there were flies flying around. Seems they could keep the place a little cleaner am to avoid this. The food was decent but honestly if you just go to drink and not eat, you won't have to worry about this. We'll be back for my fiancé's birthday as she wants to get a big group all together in a fun, large spot!

The parking lot had a lot of litter and trash thrown on the ground and that pretty much sums up the type of place it is.

It would have been much easier if we'd been directed to that menu first. There were also photos of drinks displayed on the counter without prices, so we had to ask about each one. The staff had to enter every drink into the computer just to tell us the price. We ordered two drinks, a ham and cheese croissant, a lemon blueberry loaf, and two macarons. We received the drinks and macarons, but nothing else. We waited about 10 minutes, assuming someone would call us when the rest of our order was ready, but no one ever did. I finally went back to the counter, and the employee said, "Oh, I thought the other girl did it." While we were waiting, I had plenty of time to look around. The tables, booths, and chairs were dirty. There was food on the tables and floor, and the front door looked like it hadn't been cleaned in quite a while. One employee was sitting on what appeared to be her personal laptop, laughing and watching something instead of helping customers or cleaning. I remember working in food service years ago, and one thing that was drilled into us was, "If you have time to lean, you have time to clean." That definitely didn't seem to apply here. The food itself was okay, but having to remind the staff to finish our order was disappointing. You're asked to tip before you've received any service, yet everything is self-service and no one checks on you. I don't mind self-service at all when it's organized and the restaurant is clean, but this experience felt disorganized from start to finish. I wanted to like this place, but unfortunately, I left more frustrated than impressed.
