The rice was so flavorful, the beans soaked with a bit of the verde sauce, and the enchiladas were just divine. You could literally taste the flavor on just the tortilla for the enchiladas- mix in the delicious shredded chicken and the verde sauce... 10/10. After a disappointing breakfast at my hotel, I decided to try out something different in the area. I used Yelp* and got a recommendation that Taqueria El Charro would be a good place for a Mexican style breakfast, so I went to it. The restaurant is located around the corner in a diverse strip mall but doesn't look like it really stands out, save for several vehicles in the parking lot. Inside, there is a cheerful dining area in Mexican style decor. The menus are well illustrated with a simple description under each menu item. There were several breakfast items available on the menu, but I chose the Menudo To-go. After paying and waiting a few minutes for the food to come out, I took it back to my hotel room. The menudo was well-packaged using quality to-go plastic containers, and comes with all the condiments needed, including hot sauce and salsa verde. Overall the menudo was excellent, with quality honeycomb tripe, patas, and a good well-spiced broth. The serving was generous. Overall, Taqueria El Charro #3 is a wonderful recommendation from Yelp*, and is certainly a place I would like to come back to again the next time I am in the area to try some of the restaurant's other offerings! read more

This has been my family's go to taqueria my whole life. The torta's are my favorite food item, it's a great value for what you get and is SO good. Their green salsa is the perfect amount of heat and flavor. Their chips always taste fresh. Their mojarra is always crispy and flavorful. Service is great and quick The ambiance is also good, they have a juke box where you can play your favorite tunes. They have TV's hanging and the place is always clean. Lastly, their agua Frescas are DELICIOUS. My favorite one is the agua de horchata since it is so creamy, flavorful, and satisfying, but you can't go wrong with any of their other flavors. One of my favorite Mexican restaurants! The food was made fresh, so it was warm and delicious. This place was also packed. We came in for lunch on a weekday at 1pm and almost all the tables were filled up with people constantly coming in and out. The service was great and everything was reasonable priced. Every table also gets complimentary chips, dip, and pickled veggies. We got the fajita plate and the nachos supreme. The fajita plate was muy bueno. You can decided btwn chicken, beef, or both. The meat was well seasoned and nicely portioned. The plate also comes with sautéed onions and green bell peppers, guacamole, pico de Gallo, lettuce, rice, tortillas, and beans. Definitely great value for the amount of food on this dish. As for the nacho supreme, it was amazing too! Each nacho chip was topped with bean spread, meat, and cheese. I really loved my trip to this little hole in the wall. I had great service. Everyone was extra friendly. I might have been the only white English only talked the place. But I felt comfortable The food was fresh. I loved the salsa very different from my home in Arizona and not like any Texas mex. my guess is very authentic. I hate to give them a 1 star because I always use to come here since forever to dine in. But They disappoint me with the food I got yesterday and every other time I did take out. I got a fajita Torta and let me tell you. I can not even chew or swallow that thing. My bread was like over cook or something. (Like when you microwave a bread for a long time) And it was not fresh bread.. I was a regular but now I think I'll take my business somewhere else since it's not the first time that this happen. They think they can just wrap anything and give it to people that does "take out" because they know once you go home you probably won't come back to get a reorder. Well I'm one of those person. This is our new go-to restaurant for FAJITAS and other delicious Mexican food! Recently ordered a bulk order for my office via GrubHub and was pleasantly surprised at the quantity and quality of the food from this place!!! The presentation of the Parrillada El Charro (beef and chicken fajitas and grilled shrimp) was wonderful in a large tray, and the beans and rice were nicely packaged for delivery. The Charro beans were fantastic and flavorful!!! There were pieces of sausage and pork rinds/chicharrónes in the beans, making it more like a bean stew with exquisitely flavored broth! The beef and chicken fajitas were cooked and sliced at the perfect thickness, and there was a lot of it!!! The shrimp were good sized as well and so very tasty! This taqueria uses quality ingredients to ensure that the food is delicious! Both the flour and corn tortillas were perfectly sized and yummy for the fajitas and barbacoa. Everyone in the office devoured the barbacoa because it was so tender and flavorful! Thinking that it might have been a one-off since it was our first order, we ordered again (today) two weeks later from GrubHub, and we were not disappointed!!! The food was as good this time as last time, and quality and quantity were amazingly consistent and GOOD!!!! Again, the beans were incredibly flavorful and the guac stayed a beautiful green and never oxidized at all! The large shrimp were so fresh and perfectly grilled! The Parrillada El Charro beef, chicken & shrimp were nestled on top of a bed of grilled/sauteed bell peppers and onions that complemented the fajitas so well. Muy deliciouso! I have been here a couple of times and had an issue with their oily tacos once but I figure it might be a fluke so my wife and I decided to do a dinner in. First thing we noticed was that our waiter had an [if you don't know what that is ,why are you here] attitude when we asked her what an item on the menu was,now the second thing is someone black folks are used to on this side of town which is very sad. I think what made them sick was the Jamaica drink they both had diarrhea and stomach ache for 2 days. I stumbled upon this restaurant looking through the new delivery section on Yelp! I was in the mood for some tacos and their menu looked very enticing. The ordering process was very simple and took around 30 minutes to arrive. I ordered the 1lb of Barbacoa. It came with the option of 6 flour tortillas or 12 corn tortillas. I opted for the corn tortillas. The Barbacoa meal also came with onions, cilantro, and pico de gallo on the side. I like the idea of making my own tacos and choosing the toppings! The Barbacoa had more liquid than I'm use to but it wasn't bad at all, just not the best. It easily fed two people for only $8.99. I also ordered a Beef Torta and it was huge and well filled! The beef was delicious! Everything inside the torta tasted really fresh. It was fairly priced at $4.25. Green and red sauce was provided and I loved the spicy green sauce! Same people have been there for many years. This is not Tex-Mex! If you want Tex-Mex, you'll probably be disappointed. The street tacos are very good, I always get the lengua. The chile con queso is good. I like the flautas, bf likes the pork chop plate. My son likes their burritos and tortas. Oh, and their Mexican breakfast is very good. It's a great place to sit back, have a few tacos and a beer. Love the authentic-ness of it. Once upon a time the waitresses didn't speak any English, but they've mostly gotten over that. Went here during lunch hour and it was moderately busy. The interior is decorated nicely and the staff are all very friendly. We are not Hispanic but were speaking in Spanish a little and they went along with it. They spoke in Spanish then would translate to English. I thought that was pretty cool. We ordered the burrito with cheese all over it, tortas with beef fajita, and taquitos. I absolutely loved the tortas. It's like a huge sandwich and it was super cheap! It was so good. I've never eaten here but I've ordered 2 gorduras to go and they were good. So today I decided to go back after finding that our usual taco truck was closed. I ordered 2 Quesadillas de chicharrón con chile, 2 small fajita quesadillas, 1 Gordita, and flautas de pollo. Our chicharrón quesadillas were drenched in the sauce which made them soggy, the chile was not spicy at all. The Milanesa plate which is a thin round steak lightly breaded and deep fried with french fries, rice beans and a little lettuce & tomato was excellent as was the fajita plate. I recommend the Charro beans over the refried beans. The tacos, particularly the al pastor and barbecoa were good. They have milk shakes and fresh sqeezed orange juice that they squeeze when you order the orange juice. Their sausa is a little spoty.
