I recently moved to area and I'm trying to find my go to taco spot. This place is ok the meat was cooked well and no fat which I liked a lot. The red salsa is actually spicy made with chile de arbol but not very flavorful. The tortillas on my tacos got a little hard before I finished them so I took one of them off since they all came in double tortilla. I wish they would have better corn tortillas or hand made ones. Overall I will continue trying diff taco spots in area maybe I'll be back here if I find nothing better in the area. read more

I feel like I have to start by bringing everyone up to speed on how much I love nachos. Every time I see them on a menu, I wind up ordering them. I have a problem. With that out of the way, I can confidently say that this place has the best nachos I've ever had. Full stop. I drive almost an hour (two hours round trip) just to get their nachos like once a month. They're so damn satisfying. Usually a place gets one or two things right and that's enough (chips, meat, the right toppings, good cheese, etc.). The food is okay but the service people are terrible. They all speak Spanish and poor in english so most of times when i asked to replace the beans to rice, they'll give me the wrong order. They accept card! Inside isnt much to look at, but their food is delicious. Each taco is approximately $1.50 each, but they are on the bigger side of the spectrum compared to other taquerias to the bite size street taco size. Ordered a carne asada burrito and a Carne asada quesadilla (Each item is approximately $7), and pretty big sized. The burrito comes with cheese, cilantro, onions, rice and beans (I opted for no beans). The burrito was delicious, the meat is flavorful, the rice has more of a fried taste, rather than just steamed, the burrito is greasy (Unhealthy but that's where the flavor is!) The quesadilla was also delicious and comes with a side of diced lettuce and sour cream. Overall: reccomend! read more

Quaint Mexican eatery located slightly off Beach Blvd. They have excellent tacos, burritos, and another ice cream concept inside as well. Come for both and you won't be disappointed! Wow wow! That salsa will wake you up! Walked in casually in the middle of the day and place was fairly packed so I almost left, but very glad I braced the line. Ordered 3 tacos and a burrito for the ride home, ate the tacos so quick I wish I ordered 20 more. The tortillas were grilled to that sweet spot, in between slightly crispy and soft. Be careful when seeking it out, however, as it's actually easy to miss, hidden a bit off Beach Blvd. and Orangewood, nestled between both a laundromat​ and a...well, what looks to be a lonely, little saloon. (The shared parking places always seem to be full. Whether that's from want of tacos, beer, or clean socks, I'm unsure. You'll decide.) Taqueria's tacos, though, I love them. Oh man, it's not often I eat out and say to myself immediately, "more people need to know about this." That's probably because most of the places I eat, I find from yelp and people already know about it. I ordered two tacos, asada (marinated steak) and pastor (marinated pork), not knowing how much each would be. It doesn't matter, I would have ordered 2 regardless of price since I'm "on a meal plan" (e.g. on a man diet). It was a pleasant surprise when my total came to $2.38, it was an indicator that these were legitimate street tacos ($1.15/taco; could be cheaper but trust me it's worth it, and you'd probably have to go to Mexico to get it cheaper). Another couple of indicators? The ambiance (pretty run-down-authentic-Mexican vibe), the customers (do I even need to say it?), and the trash cans stuffed with plates dripping in salsa, despite there only being two groups eating when I came in (7:45pm) were a pretty good giveaway. Holy crap, amazing street tacos. See the picture I uploaded (will upload), you see those little bits of Maillard-reaction-induced, bite-sized pieces of heaven? They were just that. Biting into the taco you get an amazing crunch, doesn't matter if you're talking asada or pastor. The non-crunchy pieces are tender, juicy, and flavorful. The onion, cilantro, and salsas do what they do, bringing brightness, acidity, and a little bit of kick to balance out the rich, artery-clogging morsels of heavenly meat. If anything, I could have used a little bit more kick, but that's a personal preference. I was never a big fan of the pickled carrot and radish so I didn't eat it. The two tacos get 5/5 on taste and 5/5 on value. Overall El Rancho gets 4/5 because there could be some improvements (prices on their menu), it could be cleaner (hah, maybe so you gringos out there might be more willing to step foot in the place), and there's too much unknown to give it a 5/5. After more excursions I would be willing to update my rating if I feel the need. read more

This is a pretty cool authentic Mexican food place, luckily the Yelp app pointed me in this direction. This place is about as authentic as you can get. I was looking on Yelp for a good Mexican food place and it looks like I mixed this place up with a catering place with the exact same address.. I think they also do catering under a slightly different name. Since in barely fluent in Spanish, i played it safe and ordered a pastor burrito.. marinated pork with the usual burrito components, with a chicken taco. The burrito and taco were pretty good! they were served with red and green salsa that was a little spicy. The plate also came with carrots, radishes and utensils. Carne asada tacos were amazing! It's very simple what I look for in tacos - meat, cilantro and onion. The carne asada was perfectly seasoned and cooked and cooked to order. If I were rating ONLY the tacos, I would give it 5 stars. I was disappointed in the carne asada fries though, as they poured melted cheddar cheese entirely over the fries, making it look like nachos and also masking the taste of everything else, basically only tasting the melted cheese. Also, I may be spoiled in a sense that most Mexican restaurants and food trucks in Las Vegas let you pack your own sauces and vegetables however, this place doesn't and you're stuck asking for everything from the workers. That said, we didn't want to seem stingy but as we asked for more sauces, we started to get the weird looks. I would totally recommend only the tacos based on what I had tonight. read more

This spot is kinda off the beaten path. However they are a great hidden gem for authentic Mexican food. I ordered three asada tacos with a medium Tamarind drink. I got three piping hot tacos, tender seasoned well, fresh cilantro, radishes and carrots. The meal comes with one red and one green sauce and two limes. The service was courteous and quick. Made in a very clean kitchen. Loved my Tamarindo it was fresh and not syrupy sweet. There is some outdoor dining. This is my second visit here. They have great beef tongue tacos too. They also give you pickled carrots with your order. They sell flan and tres leches cake at this location. I did not try the sweet treats, but maybe next time. My burrito was good.
