Not sure what has changed, but our last two super burrito runs have been disappointing. The meat has been extremely salty, and the burritos are now packed with more beans and rice than actual protein ($13). They're also noticeably slimmer, with so much excess tortilla that we end up tossing part of it. I also tried a quesabirria taco which was excessively salty and not enjoyable ($5). [[HIGHLIGHT]]On the positive side, customer service remains excellent, the salsa bar is solid, and the restaurant is clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have December specials I'm wanting to try, so I hope the food quality gets back to what it used to be.

My wife and I were in this different side of town. I yelp' d a good Mexican restaurant and this place popped up. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is a small cute place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We both ordered burritos. I got the veggie and my wife got a chicken burrito. While we were waiting we grabbed chips and salsa at the bar they had. This was a sign the food was going to be excellent. The Salsas were all so good. The staff when we walked in was nice. The burritos came and they were the best burritos I have had in a long time. This place will be our go to in the future for Mx food. So delicious.

I love a good taqueria, and when I found out about taqueria La Puerta, it was a must try! They've been open for about eight months now, and the gentleman that owns the auto shop at the end of the strip mall, is the same man who's opened up this restaurant. He seized a perfect opportunity because this is where the waffle restaurant used to be. To say that I'm a fan is an understatement. This has become a weekly must have in the rotation of restaurants. Everything is made to order, fresh ingredients, reasonable prices, and the food is outstanding! This is the only place that I will order a chimichanga at. Why? Because not only can I select the protein that I would like, but this is one of the few places that the chimichangas are made perfect every single time. I order the Crema and guacamole on the side. Both are super delicious, but I like to dip while I eat. We've also tried so many other menu items, and each one has been a hit. Ironically, the quesadilla is superb. It's filled with lots of meat and cheese and they sliced the quesadillas so that you can pick it up and eat each segment by hand. Just the way I like it! They offer free chips and a full salsa bar that has at least eight or more different types of salsa's. Ranging from mile to blow your head off hot. [[HIGHLIGHT]]You're welcome to dine inside, or at their outdoor seating area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff is super friendly, and I love the fact that not only were they easy to get to know, but they pretty much know my to go order every single time. Did I mention that the food is absolutely outstanding and delicious?! Absolutely worth trying, and you will find yourself going back weekly like we do!

Stopped by while in town again and had the breakfast for the first time - just as amazing as everything else! We made a point to ask the man there if he was the chef as it is always fantastic to only find out he is the chef and owner! We got to talking and were absolutely not surprised to find out he makes everything daily homemade from scratch. You can totally tell with how wonderful everything tastes. The rice is so flavorful as is the beans and every item on the menu. As I've said before - this is a staple whenever we are in Sacramento!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior is simple nice and clean their sauce bar is well maintained and everything is super fresh.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Ive come back twice, first time I got an Al pastor burrito and it was really good, the meat was tender, juicy, and had a good distribution of other fillings, I do wish they crisped up the tortilla just a bit more however. During my second visit I brought my fiance she doesn't eat much so she got a side of veggies and a side of Chile releno as her meal, the Chile releno was really delicious, and the veggies were fresh and quickly stir fried almost like a Chinese stir fry, it was well seasoned and a bit on the oily side I got the taco plate and the tacos are good depending on the meat you get, Al pastor was by far the best but the rest that I got was not as good but still satisfactory Their service was quick and kind we even spilled some water and they were super nice about it (if they see this review, sorry )

Dining room/in-person dine in ends at 8pm but kitchen open until 9pm, Doordash orders placing end at 830pm. Walk-in after 8pm for takeout, chairs were already up on the tables. Got one order of the California Burrito with adobada and whole beans, and a Loaded Fries with asada, refried beans. Fries two ways, if you will. Chips and salsa bar had lots of choices. I liked the reds, the sour cream and jalapeños, pickled jalapeños and carrots, green tomatillo. Also packets of Tapatio if you wanted. The only one I didn't try was the habanero, described as very spicy depending on the cook's mood. The super burrito was a decent size and heft (rice, beans, meat, salsa, sour cream, guacamole, and fries) and the asada fries were okay, which also came with beans, cheese, guac, sour cream, and pico. Very filling! I'd be curious to try their crispy tacos, birria, chile verde plate, quesadillas or chimis, or pozole! They also have breakfast burritos from 9am-12pm too! Tortas, tostadas, enchiladas, fajitas, shrimp, taquitos, flautas, relleno, and agua Fresca.

I came in for a quick lunch to go. I got the loaded fries and they were wonderful. My fries topped with beans, meat, cheese, guacamole, sour cream, and pico. I wished I'd have asked to add jalapenos, but I made do with some spicy salsa. There were lots of options at the salsa bar including sour cream with jalapenos! Quick and friendly service, yummy food, and close to where I work- I'll definitely be back.

We recently visited Taqueria La Puerta and had a decent experience. Upon walking in, we were immediately greeted, which set a welcoming tone. There was plenty of seating both inside and on the patio, making it easy to find a comfortable spot. The staff was friendly and accommodating, happily adjusting our order to our preferences. We ordered a taco salad and quesabirria tacos. While the food wasn't bad, it also wasn't particularly memorable. The flavors didn't stand out enough for us to make a return visit, but we appreciated the service and atmosphere. If you're looking for a casual spot with good hospitality, it's worth checking out, but for us, it didn't quite hit the mark.

The absolute skinniest burrito I have ever ordered in my life. This is basically a chimichanga size. 14$ this is what I expect from Taco Bell, but these "burritos" are a joke for size. Will never come again

Located somewhat near the original Kings arena in a mostly office park area. Taco Tuesday has $1.99 tacos. I ordered asada, pastor and ground beef tacos. I liked the ground beef best, followed by the pastor then the carne asada. The free salsa bar included pico de gallo, which is nice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Service was prompt and the restaurant was new and clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Burrito GOOD, Nachos GOOD, "Super Quesadilla" JOKE BARELY a sprinkle of cheese in whats supposed to be a super quesadilla. What a waste of money. I make way better homemade quesadillas out of tortilla and shredded cheese at home.

You're greeted with a fun atmosphere, friendly staff, and an energy that makes you excited to be there. Since the restaurant was especially busy, we chose to sit at the bar. There was no wait, and the high-top seating was surprisingly comfortable. Our server was welcoming and attentive, and the service was fast from start to finish. Between the great music and lively atmosphere, you can't help but want to dance while you eat! I ordered one of my favorites--the chicken sope. It was perfectly crispy on the outside while still soft and fluffy on the inside. The chicken was packed with flavor, and the rice and beans were just as delicious. The salsa that came with it was the perfect finishing touch, adding just the right amount of spice and an extra kick of flavor. My hubby ordered one of the carne asada dishes (so sorry, I forgot the name!). He said it was one of the best cuts of meat he's had at a Mexican restaurant in a long time--super tender, juicy, and full of flavor. We had such a fun night! I definitely recommend Rosa Madera--10/10 for a date night, girls' night, or any excuse to enjoy great food and an even better atmosphere.

The only downside was that it was difficult to get in contact with the restaurant beforehand. I tried calling several times to make a reservation, but no one answered, and one call was even disconnected. Their website also only allows reservations for up to four people, even though they clearly accommodate larger celebrations for friends and families. Overall, the food, atmosphere, and in person service were amazing. I would definitely recommend this place and will be back!

I used it and the salsa to flavor the black beans. However, I really just wanted grilled steak. I should have ordered steak fajitas, a grilled steak burrito or quesadilla, or a carne asada plate. The Steak a la Chicana was a generous portion, which is definitely 2 meals for me. Cilantro rice wasn't anything special. The SWEET CORN TAMALITO is yummy comfort. I visited this past Saturday and it was quite busy inside like it always is. The restaurant is large enough to fit a lot of people, so finding a seat isn't an issue. To order, you line up in front of the register and wait until they call you. Once it was my turn, I ordered a Super Burrito with Al Pastor, which is my favorite protein choice there. Usually I order 2 tacos with my burrito but I was saving room for Korean bbq that day! The Super Burrito comes with your choice of meat, rice, beans, salsa, sour cream, guacamole, and cheese. I also ordered a medium pineapple agua fresca, which paired perfectly with my burrito. After ordering, you're handed a number to take to your table so the servers know where to bring your food. As I'm waiting for my food, I helped myself to the self-serve chip bar. The chip bar is my favorite thing about the restaurant besides the food and quick service. I always get loads of both the white and red pickled onions, and some salsa to go with my chips. They offer many sides to choose from so that anyone can customize their meal to their liking. The pickled onions have the perfect level spice and acidity to them which helps with cutting down the greasiness you may get from a burrito. I also like to snack on them for fun too! The food comes out extremely quickly. When I finished placing my order and brought my number to my table, I went to the self-serve bar right after to get some chips. Not even 2-3 minutes later, I came back to my table with my burrito already there! The burrito was absolutely delicious and piping hot. It's the perfect size for me and eating it with the pineapple agua fresca and some chips makes it a perfect meal! Coming to La Favorita Taqueria is always a treat and I appreciate the quick customer service, self-serve bar, and delicious food! I highly recommend the Al pastor as your protein choice and honestly you can't go wrong with anything on their menu!

They didn't just walk by like frazzled, hurried workers like most restaurants pushing through the crowds. They actually gave me a nice smile and said welcome, and then walked by. And then I got to the reception area found that there was already a pretty big crowd at around the 5:30 PM or so I guess a lot of early birds come to eat there on Sunday. The receptionist asked for how many and said you'd be like a 20 minute wait and there was chairs where people were waiting but it was only like a 15 minute wait. The server was fast with the chips and salsa and ice water and then soon the waiter came and took my order. He was really quick and witty, fun to talk to. What I really enjoyed was as the noise of the table Near quieted down and they left. I saw a young man cleaning up the table and getting it ready for the next group of people. He was dressed really nice and had a tie on. Having been in restaurants most of my life I said to myself, I bet you he works with the owners or something. And I said to him, are your related to people that own the place ? he said my parents own this place. He was very friendly and polite. He told me a tiny bit about the restaurant and how everything had been since 1970, much older than he was, he was only a sophomore in high school I think. I never really got his name, but I was kind of proud of him because he was working hard at his family's restaurant. I ordered probably something bigger than I could eat because I had to take leftovers home, but it was really a tasty meal, and they're coming out with more chips and salsa without being asked, probably didn't help as well as a second lemonade. It's really impressive when you have a well oiled machine and it appeared to me that the people that worked there seem to be happy so that's always a good sign of good management. Several years back, I worked in the restaurant industry doing maintenance and repairs so I went to a lot of different restaurants and saw a lot of things so I know what to look for. I'm definitely gonna come back when my brother and his wife come up from the Bay Area my friend Ivan he'll wanna go there for lunch or dinner I know.
