Dropped in for a quick lunch with a friend and was lured into getting a burger. We ended up getting a burger and an order of steak tacos, a hamburger and a bacon cheeseburger. The burgers were NOT GOOD AT ALL , do not get a burger from here. It was a frozen store bought patty that was grey and stiff. I was severely disappointed and didn't finish my lunch. The tacos came in a set of 3 of course, and we're pretty decent. Veggies and chips were fresh , but everything else is pretty supermarket-ish. I prefer a restaurant that uses more homemade vs. store bought items. read more

I have to preface this with the fact im on meds and it makes all my food tastes really metallic which sucks balls. SOOOO im also stranded at home since car is in the shop and i ordered delivery from here. I ordered 3 classic meat tacos and a burger. I didn't eat the burger yet. I tried the tacos and they smelled and looked great and i ate one and im full. It was super fresh and actually really good. They delivered really quickly and it was very hot and fresh. Came on a Saturday night -9:30pm. They were friendly and nice and yet trying to close at 10:00. I ordered skirt steak entree with vegetables and brown rice and black beans. The vegetables were fresh and super! Steak cooked well done as I requested was good. Brown rice was cold. I asked myself do I say something or just skip it? Decided not to mention it because there's enough food without the rice. My son ordered the beef burrito and an order of cheese fries. He enjoyed but left over half. I ate here a few times since my office is located down the street. The bean quesadillas are great, and I love their pork tacos. I plan to go back to check out some other items on the menu. The only two issues that I have is that I do not like their guacamole and their salsa. The guacamole taste plan with no pico de galo mixed in. It just taste like plain avocado pureed. My second time here! It was first recommended to me by my aunt who said it was fresh and affordable. I would definitely have to agree. I love Mexican food and love finding new spots especially ones close to home. I got the hard shell beef tacos which come with lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream and shredded cheese. The meat was flavorful and the shell didn't break immediately (which is always a plus). It also comes with a side of chips and salsa. We also got the nacho grande to split, which was supposed to come with guacamole, sour cream, cheese, olives and jalapeños, but unfortunately only came with cheese and the ground beef. The nachos were burnt and the meat was dry, so we ended up throwing it out. I could've went back but we were already home and full from our tacos so it was no biggie! We went in to pick up and was ignored by the 7+ staff members despite being relatively empty inside. The place just opened last week. After countless delis have been in this building it was nice to see a local Mexican place open up. Ordered a beef burrito came with all the fixings...rice beans cheese tomato lettuce sour cream and guac (no it wasn't extra) all for 7 bucks. Great food that's made fresh unlike many of its competitors that have the food sitting on steam tables for who knows how long. Guacamole is definitely not "store bought" as I've walked in as the employees were making the guacamole. Unsure what other reviews are "claiming" about the burgers because they're delicious. I've had them and these reviewers might be mistaken because they don't even sell bacon as a topping for burgers. As for the reviews arguing about the "online ordering" they don't have that either so they may also be mistaken. Overall, it's a great family owned local business run by people who live in the area. I feel as if the burrito scene is dying down, for a small little shack in Merrick this place is very solid. Never really packed, quick service. They bring the food to you and we're welcoming but didn't talk much. Now let's get to the burrito, I came to this place about four months ago and the burrito size was definitely smaller, came here today and the burrito was ten times bigger. The quality of the meat was alright nothing spectacular but left me delighted not to the point where I was uncomfortable. The menu has a wide variety of choices too which is nice to see for a burrito place. This location has a reputation where stores go out of business quickly, hopefully this place stays around. The chicken was cooked fine but I didn't really like the way it tasted. In the area visiting family and was in the mood for a burrito bowl. Small place but nice set up with TVs and seating. Ordered a chicken burrito bowl to stay. Sat down and was immediately provided with chips and salsa. Burrito bowl came a few minutes later and was a nice presentation. The chicken has a mild flavor and the guacamole is good.
