My son brought me here because it's his favorite. Great food truck. Very nice lady taking orders. There's a covered seating area which is nice when it's warm outside. I ordered the steak torta. I usually don't like avocado but in this torta it was delicious. The beef was tender and tasty. My husband had a pork/asada torta. I think he liked it because he devoured it. My favorite place for some tacos de Tripa. They never go fail. I also love the Barbacoa. All tacos are good though. They all come with limes, slices of radish, cucumber, and grilled onions on the side. I highly recommend this place if Tripa, barbacoa lengua is your thing. The prices are reasonable. These days for some of those type of tacos the prices are over 4 but these are under. There's some tables and shade if you want to stay and eat. This is the most authentic taco joint in town. Why? Well, they wrap the plates in a plastic bag before placing your tacos on it. At first, I was dumbfounded. Then I traveled through Mexico and realized that's how most joints do it there. I have not found any other taqueria in Austin, LA, Chicago or NYC that is as legit as plastic-wrapped plates. What? I've had this place bookmarked for a couple of months and was craving some tacos last night. Bam! Remembered this place. Let me start off by saying that it is a pretty small food truck and has three picnic tables next to it. Which does not at all bother me. You order at the window and then sit down. They will bring your order to you and you pay after eating (at least that was our experience). I'm not sure how good the people who own it are at English because we ordered in Spanish. They were however super hospitable. Now on to the good part.. the food! We got the carnitas, chicken, bistek, and al pastor. The bistek taco was definitively my favorite. It was really close to authentic, except for the fact that none of them came with cheese or avocados( reason why it's a 4 and not a 5).I'm from Brownsville and these are probably the best tacos I've had in the city! Authenticity wise. The carnitas was probably my second favorite, followed closely by the chicken, and the al pastor was last because it was too sweet for me. I like so much these taquitos, they are like in my country and the flavor is almost like there. I love that I can call and place my order and in less of 15 minutes my order is ready.
