Guacamole

Taquiza is a must if you're craving really good tacos and fresh flavors. The guac is delicious, and the chips they bring out with the tacos are different, more like a pita-style chip but even better, which makes the whole experience stand out. The margaritas are great, the service is friendly, and everything feels fresh and flavorful. Definitely a spot I'd go back to for tacos and drinks.

Hibiscus and spicy margaritas

The best tacos and margaritas in Miami hands down. Service is quick and fairly friendly. We tried one of each of the tacos, and it was happy hour so it was bogo! The meat was so tender, toppings and salsas homemade and fresh, and double layered tortillas. Then moving on to the margaritas- wow. The hibiscus color alone is so beautiful and the taste is so refreshing and subtly sweet. The spicy marg has the perfect amount of spice. Also nice to take a roadie to the beach on the other side of the path! A must hit while in Miami.

Living on the beach for 3 years, this spot is a hidden gem if you don't know about it. The ambience after a long beach walk brings you relaxation and calmness. Taquiza is nothing short of spectacular when it comes to their authentic blue corn tortillas. Coming from a hospitality family, Tyrese who was on his first day of training made sure our table and every guest interaction with tables around were satisfied and full. Asking about recommendations, he was able to explain the flavor palates provided with tacos and drinks. Though $5 a piece for tacos, seems a little steep this is like a reasonable Miami price considering others are about $8 for one in other places. We tried the crispy fish, al pastor, carnitas and Arrecha tacos. They were spectacular, and the guacamole with totopos thick crispy but fluffy blue corn chips. We even ordered a dozen blue corn tortillas to take home for $9. I think this is amazing price considering their authenticity. We even had their horchata and I loved it bringing me back to my childhood days. Give Taquiza a try, though some reviews here are not 5 star satisfied, I promise you won't be disappointed trying this place out at least one it twice whether you're a tourist or a regular. They are also pet friendly! A big win for the Beach community!

When they finish the boardwalk/beach walk construction in front of Taquiza, this will be a very easy five star review! I came by with my friend Vancy for part one of Cinco de Mayo. Full disclosure, I walked by here a couple of times before while the full moon party or just catching a tan in this part of the beach, but I've never walked in. Being Cinco de Mayo, we were greeted with three varieties of tequila shots, which were smooth enough to set the mood for the night's imbibing. As far as bites, I enjoyed both their very loaded chicken and al pastor tacos. Served in a blue corn tortilla, the street tacos are full of delicious protein. The pineapple ones have actual piece of pineapple with it sweetly tangy flavor. They were also served with thimble sized salsa that's just "wow" in terms of heat. There may or may not have been another margarita or two involved on occasion of the holiday. We were amongst some of the partygoers who we were given shot glasses. In addition to that, the waitresses were really friendly.

you MUST try their chips and guacamole! they're super tasty and nothing like you've ever tried before. their tacos were also delicious. it's a little difficult to get inside with the construction but totally worth it!

Extremely delicious! Squash blossom quesadillas SOOOO GOOD!

I came here when it was located on Collins Avenue. I had no idea they moved. I also brought my cat with me so they're definitely pet friendly. I tried their Blue corn squash blossom quesadillas and they were VERY VERY GOOD!!!!! My goodness SUPER TO DIE FOR DELISH! The taste of the cheese was just very unique and tasted like genuine old fashioned aged cheese. As you can see in the picture it also came with delicious dry, crunchy beets. This place is so amazing and I definitely want to come back. The food here is SOOOO GOOD. Not too pricey either!! You DEFINITELY need to try this hot spot!!!!

Had so much celebrating cinco de mayo! I'm from Dallas originally and have always went out to enjoy the festivities on this day! We had delicious margaritas and tacos! Love that you like the meat on the tacos, so good! The fresh tortillas are an added bonus. We had chicken, barbocao, and al pastor tacos. The service is always great and the manager came by with the cutest shot glasses as a surprise. Loved it. Love the view and breeze of the beach as you dine and chill in the outside area!

Oh mourning change: Taquiza has been gentrified, corporatized, sanituzed and has lost its charm. So sad: no housemade hibiscus sangrias. The service is dry, transactional.

The food was amazing!!! My boyfriend and I split the Elote, which I didn't expect to love as much as I did!!! We also each got a steak taco, which we thought was good but nothing special. He got an al pastor taco which he throughly enjoyed, I got a shrimp taco which was well seasoned and delicious, and we shared a fish taco which was my favorite of the tacos!

Happy hour.

Must hit. Easy and breezy and veryyyyy good. Also, a REAL happy hour. Definitely swing by. We will be back. Tyrese is the man.

The totopas are INASE!!!!

This will be short and simple -- their totopos are the best and most unique chips I've ever had. Crispy on the outside but a soft pillow on the inside. Still dreaming about them. Tacos are solid. Guac is exactly what you want. Margaritas are delicious. Come for the totopos 1000%

Taco shop on the beach. Great options and the food turned out pretty great. The cashier was pretty sour and the margaritas are premixed. Overall cool vibe and worth the stop.

They do offer a premade mix of margaritas on the happy hour menu, but for 5.00 more you can have a delicious fresh one made. Definitely enter the blue door to the back and enter the speakeasy, it's dark, loud, and turns into a nightclub after 11pm. There is a great lounge and a pool table for some fun. Our tacos were great, churros are delicious served with your choice of sauce and our bartender was fun, friendly and made the best drinks! Parking is tough, limited on the street so ride share is best as there is a lot of construction going on in the area. We highly recommend Bodega for a fun night filled with tacos and drinks! Cheers!

Upon arrival I was a little unsure of the set up because I looked it up online, but when I walked in, I only saw the ordering station. Upon further inspection and walking up to the window, I found out there was a side entrance. When you walk in you were taken into a completely different vibe and experience. I was thankful the bar had TV's so we had something to watch. Overall, the food was good and had good flavor, but the drinks weren't the best and the bartender did have a slight attitude. We were the only people in the restaurant, so you think they would be more attentive and friendly.

This time around, I ordered the bean tacos and a taco salad, and both were pretty good. Everything tasted fresh, and the flavors were solid. The sauces were also good--though not as spicy as I personally prefer, they still added a nice kick. Overall, it was a solid experience and definitely better than I remembered. It may not be the most standout Mexican spot, but it hits the spot--especially in an area where options are limited. I'd probably order delivery again!

I'm always getting chips & queso, so figured I'd mix it up with fries. While I liked the fries, the queso felt a bit thin and not very flavorful. Like it seemed they just mixed in a little fresh pico de gallo for the flavor component. Chips & Queso w/ Beef: The classic is much better than the dipper fries. Felt like there was more queso with the beef upgrade. Also, the thin chips let you focus more on the yummy cheese. Cheese Enchiladas w/ Red Sauce & Green Sauce: I love cheese! Like when choosing between meat or cheese as a protein, I usually pick cheese. So the enchiladas scratched that itch. Both sauces were nice, though not that memorable. The rice and beans helped fortify the meal, since the main enchilada portion felt a tad small. 3 Way Fajitas: This was an awesome fast casual dinner for two. Came out in an oversized mound of proteins, onions and peppers. While you could have created mixed fajitas, I did separate waves. The shrimp was tiny, springy and nicely flavored. The steak was the star, with that classic fajita chew. The chicken is nicely spiced, so more exciting that regular chicken. It came with guacamole, cheese, sour cream, rice and beans to feel like a real sizzling fajita plate experience. But it was the salsa bar that really livened things; I especially favored the green salsa.
