We just moved to West Roxbury after 7 years exiled in the Midwest in Chicago. Thin crust pizza there is trendy rather than the norm and you have to pay ridiculous prices for mediocre pizza. This pizza is the best we've had in a long time. All the ingredients are Super Fresh the sauce is made there and the dough is hand-rolled made from scratch. We Got The Godfather it had sausage, pepperoni ,mushrooms and onions It had thin crust and was crisp It was so delicious. I can't believe we've lived in West Roxbury for many years and just finding this place now. It's like a Hidden Gem. That place is super clean and nicely decorated. The owners were very friendly. Ordered from here a few times and had pretty good pizza, woman who answered phones and worked register was super nice and a pleasure to talk to. Not sure who they have working there now, but it took 15 minutes to order a pizza (after each topping I was put on hold for a few minutes), and pizza was totally wrong (missing toppings, only half of pizza with vegetables instead of whole thing) and undercooked. Not sure if staff changed or what, but we probably will have to find a new place. They DID offer me a credit for the future, but it took so long to order, and then again so long to pick it up, I am not sure that we will use it. read more

The best pizza on this side of Boston! My sister lives in the North End and looks forward to Target take out. We have been getting it since it opened a couple years ago. Almost didn't try it because of the name 'Target' but boy I'm sure lucky we did!!! The owner Francois may just be the nicest guy ever. The place is super clean. Fast friendly service all the time and consistently good pies. What more can I say-you gotta try a Target pie! When my wife said "Seriously, you are going into that place?", I said "Yeah. Cuz you never know...". Target pizza is very deceiving. It would've been more appropriate to call it "West side cafe". Target pizza is somewhere between New York style pizza and Think crust pizza. If I have to say what it's similar to, I would describe it as John's pizza in the West Village on bleeker street. This is a decent thin crust pizza so bogging it down with toppings is going to kill it. Trust me when I say stick with no more then 2 light/dry toppings. Avoid soggy toppings at all cost. Crust is a good balance. You want a good crust that holds the topping but nothing that really fills you up and nothing too hard so you feel like your jaw is grinding on stone. If you want a cheap pizza that fills you up, this isn't the dough. Target pizza's sauce was solid. Sweet but tangy. Not overwhelmed by too many other spices/flavorings. Salad We grabbed couple of salads with our friends. Salad with tuna and cesar salad. They were both bland and boring. Caesar was just romaine with parm cheese. I've made better Caesar salad at home. They gave us some generic greek dressing. Overall, I think this is a good pizza shop. I'd recommend you give their pizza a shot. read more

It's been 5 different occasions, I have dropped into this place from getting off the bus. Every time I ask can I get a slice of cheese or anything. They never have any pizza ready and the times were between 2 -4 pm. 3 of the 5 times. The people that work there couldn't even tell me the price of a slice of pizza. If you ask me my opinion... I ordered through Yelp delivery at 9pm because it was the only place still taking orders around me that had an above 3 star review. I was wrong to assume that it was going to be fresh when it arrived. It was thin crust which I like, but it was completely soggy and lukewarm when it arrived. You couldn't even hold a slice up without it dropping so far down it would hit your wrist. The sauce is flavorless, as in I couldn't even tell the pizza had sauce on it. The cheese was average but when it's not warm even the best cheese can be bad. The crust was quite dry. The cheesy bread was a sub roll with a load of cheese in the middle then closed and put in the oven (so basically like a grilled cheese with mozzarella cheese on a flavorless crusty sub roll). The delivery driver was extremely pleasant and nice and the food arrived when expected. I wanted to like it because I was starving, but at over 60$ including tip I felt not only ripped off, but still hungry for decent pizza after. Got in late and figured I'd get fast food....fast by ordering from Target Pizza. I live no more then 30 feet from it, so I figured 20 minutes tops for a Tuna Salad Wrap and a Calzone. 48 Minutes later I get my order and my Tuna Salad Wrap is missing the Tuna. Not what I expected after a long day of work, so I call and the cashier tells me about serving certain portions of tuna with the wrap....Portions!? I have none. I hung up and just went over to show her the sandwich + get my money back. I get there and show her and all the cashier said was "oh...Theirs like no tuna in here" No apology for the wait or the wrap, but I did get my money back. Great pizza place! The owner models his pizza after traditional new york pies which you can't get in the Boston area. Kept it simple, got the 21 incher and 14 inch jalapenos and roasted garlic. The garlic was lacking on the pizza. The 21 incher however was fantastic, very thin, generous cheese for that size, and good sauce. Definitely one of the better pizza places around. I am not sure why everyone is commenting on how great the pizza is. It's nothing special. When I think of really GREAT thin crust pizza, I think of a flavorful, crispy crust that comes out of a high-temp oven...that's not what this is. This is just flavorless dough that's spread really thin and cooked to well done. Sauce was watery, toppings were pretty skimpy. I ordered mozzarella sticks too, they basically tasted like something out of the grocery store freezer section. Only real plus was the friendly staff. Great whole on the wall pizza joint. After passing it by many times and reminding myself to try them in the future I finally did. It's very cozy inside. The staff was attentive and polite. The prices on the menú are reasonable and portions are outstanding. If you want a brake from corporate chained pizza, this is the place to try. Target pizza gives you a ton a pizza for the price, but the quality isn't very good. The crust is tough. You know the pizza crust that cuts up your mouth when you eat it? This is that crust. The pepperoni is extremely greasy. The Margherita pizza was really watery because of the excess water in the chunks of tomato. The jalepeño poppers and onion rings were very good. As for service, we ordered through Yelp/Grubhub and realized after the order was submitted that we wanted to add a side of ranch dressing. We called the restaurant, after waiting a while on hold, they told us to call Grubhub. We called Grubhub and they seemed very confused and said they would ask the restaurant to add a side of ranch... then we get a text that the driver already left with the order, so we couldn't get a side of ranch. It's just ranch... it really shouldn't be that complicated. If we order Target pizza again, it will be salad and poppers, not pizza. read more

I tried Target today for the first time. My wife and family being pizza bland (they like Dominos and Greek pizza, we can chat about Greek pizza at another time but I can't stand it) I said no to pizza deals, five buck crap etc. And said I wanted to try a pizza place with good reviews. I've worked in pizza shops for over 10 years so I am very very picky. I do have to say Neapolitan pizza is hands down my favorite. But Boston does the (gulp, cause I hate the city).. New York style pizza pretty well at places like Santarpios, Regina, Babbo, Upper Crust, Papa Gino's etc. I think Boston style pizza is slightly just slightly thicker than NY style which is my favorite after Neapolitan but NY is 1A. Target is 1000% NY style pizza...So don't get many toppings because it's not designed for it. 2-3 max or it will fall apart. Honestly I just ordered 2 cheese but I really enjoyed the pizza. It was perfectly thin the sauce was nice, cheese was even and not too over powering good mix of sauce to cheese which I find is the number one reason pizza can suck depending on your taste. I gave this place a solid 4 because you need to be absolutely exceptional to get 5s to me but it's totally with the visit. One of the best NY style pizza shops within a decent distance. Hyde Park, W Rox, Rozzy, Dedham etc. Also the owner is a hot S@#t and a normal down to earth guy which is nice to see. read more

Margarita Pizza - I Give this pizza a rating of 5 Stars. Gave it some thought before putting in a rating, even asked the the family for feedback between 1 - 5 and the consensus in seconds was "5 Stars". I have had few pizzas at this location and have been overly satisfied each time. This evening we ordered the margarita and it was phenomenal which provoked me to write the review. The pie was cooked to perfection. The olive oil was alive and tasteful. The pesto (w/basil) was fresh and really had great flavor. The mozzarella was plentiful and superior in taste. The tomatoes where fresh and the sauce was flavorful. In a word all the ingredients were "Tasty". Have always gotten the pizza to go, however each time at pick-up I look at the seating area and seems to be very inviting. Nice comfortable clean chairs (which I have sat in waiting for the pies to cook). Not noisy. Has the north end feel inside This pizza rivals a small establishment in the north E nd I frequent. Going to have to take on the storefront next time in. The person (Wish I could name names to give her the credit she deserves) at the counter is especially courteous and helpful. Last time in when ordering she suggested special on 2 medium pizza which was a better value than the large 21" I was ordering. Lastly I note - This is not a commercial or production type pizza. Love this place. The people there are so nice! My boyfriend ordered a calzone to go and got slice of pizza while he waited. The owners gave him a free bowl of chowder while he waited for the calzone. Then they accidentally burnt the slice of pizza, so they gave him a whole pizza for free!! The food is also delicious. Will definitely come back! read more

I've lived in the area for years and this was the first time I came here. The place was pretty small and clean. The pizza was okay but the wings and fries exceeded my expectations.
