My girlfriend and I are frequent shoppers at all the targets but this one is the closest to our house . We'll for a pickup I received a wrong size piece of clothing . I loath returns. But the associate , Jimmy , made the return incredibly pleased. He had a genuine smile , was sincere with me and the customers who were ahead of me. If I could I would do all my checkouts and returns with this associate . He was. Even patient and kind with me asking about another pickup order I had. I love Target...but this is my least favorite Target. Today was so disappointing. The school supplies were advertised in the weekly ad and online. However, there wasn't much stocked! Many shelves were empty. I thought I found one good deal on folders, but the item rang up regular priced instead of the one listed. ** Today is also the first day that teachers are able to use their one time 15% off coupon. I recommend going online, or find another Target.** There was a long line with only one cashier...until of course we were close to the front...then they opened another. As we know some people live and die by Target (pronounced Targe') This location actually doesn't make want to spend more money which is a plus. I feel like this Target is a little bit bigger and everything feels more spread out which for me means less aimless wandering. I feel like this location has less stock but I've never not been able to get/find what I need. The store was a little messy when I stopped in but nothing out of control. I didn't have to wait too long in line and from my experience the self checkouts at Targe' are usually slower than the lines with cashiers. Dude.. EVERY trip to this location is painful. How is there ALWAYS a line sprawling halfway down to the produce section?? There are like 10 checkout lines, though only 2, maybe 3, are ever open - self checkout gets bogged down by people who have no idea how to use it, yet insist doing so with 15-20+ items. I won't even start with the people who think this is an ideal time to teach their child about counting coins. Additionally, there is no alcohol sold here (read: ghetto), no updated cosmetics/Ulta department (let alone actually stocked), and you get bombarded by produce sellers every time you enter the parking lot. And let's not forget the regular shootings in the shopping center. Sad to say but this location is trashy. Would rather take the extra 15 min to go to Landess. People out here begging for money, yet Target has insufficient staff. Something is WRONG here. I will note that the drive-up situation here is 100% - I'll add 1 star for this. When Covid happens my point of view with doing groceries changes. I preferred quick grab and go type of purchasing. What I liked in this store is that they have a lot of cashier register opened. Some store won't do that, and it's causing longer line and keeping people inside for a long time. This target is not the best but also not the worst. They do have essentials if you need them but lack products. I usually check online to see if the products I need are in stock at that location. The target online says yes but once you go in store and look for the product there is usually nothing there. Also, when it comes to checking out there is barely anyone in the cashier section. There are always huge lines and only 2 or 3 cashiers open. Self check-out barely works and there are some check out stations that only take card or cash which is very inconvenient if you only have one of either. Do not buy the giftcards, and never throw away your receipt, I once bought a 50$ master giftcard and they did not activate it, and when I was going to target with friends we bought a 15$ and 50$ apple gift card and they did not activate the 50$, unfortunately we threw away the receipt we thought they already activated it, when we got back to the store in a hour we could not return it, and when we asked if they can activate it they said it would take an hour but then a worker said to call the number on the back, then when contacting apple we found out that inside the 50$ was a 25$ gift card, unfortunately apple already voided the 50$ giftcard, and apple told us to go back to target to show the transcript, but then when we got to target again they couldn't do anything but gave us the corporates number, and that was the last resort but that did not work because we did not have proof, please do not but the giftcards I don't recommend them, just buy them online. read more

I LOVE Target! You can find me at our local Target on Morrill at least 2-3 a week. Tonight we stopped off this location for necessities. I've been here lots of times prior to the remodel when we lived down the street and after I've been 2 more times. First time at this Target location. Only came here because I really really really wanted a fan. I already went to three different Targets near SJSU and all the fans were gone -- I assumed the freshmen cleared the shelves! So I went online to see which location had the fan in stock and this was the next closest location. This Target was in a big shopping center with lots and lots of parking -- a little too much parking! The layout of the Target is all weird and stuff, so I kind of got lost. But I found my fan, so I'm happy. There's self checkout at this location too! There's also a nice Starbucks inside Target :) I probably won't be back to this location since it's a little further / I'm never really in the Alum Rock area, but at least I know there's another Target nearby :) read more

The Target inspector will probably change his mind later, but this location isn't too bad. Considering the location at King and Story Roads, nothing else can be too bad. The restroom was more-or-less clean. It wasn't filthy but they TP dispenser was almost out and the only other roll seemed to be on the floor. It's no worse than going camping, right? The store was generally well organized. Employees were friendly. Stock was reasonable but sparse. I don't understand why Target in Northern California is so sloppy compared to the rest of the country. read more

I'm a big Target fan. Yes, Target. It's leagues better than the evil personified company Wal-Mart. There is another Target closer to me in Milpitas, but I often find myself at this one for whatever reason. This place gets packed and crowded. Not as bad as Wal-Mart, but still pretty bad. Lots of times, they are understocked and most of the employee's don't know crap. I asked this guy a question the other day and said about a pumpkin carver and he said "we don't carry those". Well in less than 5 minutes, I found it. Sounds like keeping your employees informed is not an immediate concern. Still, this is Target. Don't get me wrong, I love Target overall. (Yes, I do. Large parking lot however it does seem sketchy. As I was leaving Target today a man came up to my window and asked for me to roll it down to give him money. Just be aware of your surroundings. Decent target if you are in the area but nothing I would go out of my way for. They do have a Starbucks and self checkout stations so that is a plus. However I never leave Target without a full basket so I normally have to wait in a line. Lines were super long today. Girl at the checkout was fast and friendly. Came here today JUST for a shower caddy and there was literally only one, bummer. Never end up leaving Target empty handed though, I could spend hours here. This location has been renovated. The store feels spacious and clean. I would give this location another 1/2 star but when I went to go check out, I had about 15 items. The checker asked me if I wanted a plastic bag, I said, "no." When my stuff start rolling off the conveyer belt, she decided to grab a bag, I mentioned it to her again that I didn't want a bag, she replied, "it's only 10 cents,' I responded, it's not the cost, I don't want to collect bags, nor add to the environment." She grumbled and wadded up the bag and shoved it into the newer bags. I'm sorry, but you're not going hurt my feelings if you decided to take it upon yourself to make a decision for me. I love Target... it's close to my house and has mildly fun stuff to browse through. When I need a lot of household items, I'll drive to a less expensive store but if I just need to pop in something minor, Target is my place! I especially like the outdoor home and garden section at this location. It only gets 4 stars instead of 5 though cause of a customer service ordeal. I ordered my boyfriends huge wall map from Target.com and when I ordered, their site said I could return it to any Target store if there were problems. Well unfortunately, the map arrived damaged, the tube had been bent and the map inside had a crease running through it so... I returned it to Target as their website indicated and they tried to refuse the return. They said it was 'store policy' to not accept online purchase returns. I replied that they couldn't just decide to not allow returns if Taget.com states that I can return purchases to any Target store. They tried to make me take it to the post office myself... I had to get pretty mad for them to take the return. And still... I was out the 10$ for the bad shipping. Oh well. Target is still mostly cool. I often have a so-so experience at Target. Sometimes they will have what you need and other times they're out of stock. I don't like much of the Guest Service section. I had a whole cart of things I want to price match and the lady at the Guest Services said they only price match with target.com during holiday season. This was not advertise anywhere in the store or online. At that time, I returned everything back to them and not shop at this location. I know this is true because when I went to another target location in Fremont, I was able to price match with Walmart and Amazon during holiday season. So did someone lie here? I would rate this Target location a little higher because it's convenient from where I live, but by far I've had the worst customer service. I had gone to Customer Service to exchange an item of mine. After the transaction, I had accidentally forgotten my phone in front of the cashier. Of course, you would've thought the employee would realize I forgot my phone and hold it until I went back to claim it. I mean, that's what I do at my job.. I ended up going back to Target 25-30 minutes after I left, trying to claim my phone... I mean, I KNOW someone has my phone. It has a very sensitive touch screen, so when someone retrieved my phone they called my mother accidentally (since she was my last call on the phone). The employee who rung me up was gone, so I went to the nearest person there. I tried asking Customer Service whether anyone had turned in a phone but she responded very rudely about how there was nothing. SHE DIDN'T EVEN CHECK!!! As an employee working anywhere, you SHOULD give ALL customers some respect. At least pretend to look around. She ended up ignoring me afterwards. THEN since no other employee could assist me, I tried calling Target through my house phone to go ahead and have someone check lost and found. That's the least they can do, right? It took 3-5 minutes for my call to be answered!!!! I was willing to give them my information if anything came up but they told me "I'll go ahead and check lost and found for you. Can you please hold?" I was on the phone for 20 minutes PATIENTLY waiting for a reply. (THIS IS NO EXAGGERATION!) Eventually I heard someone pick up the phone but hang up on me. I've been to really good Targets and I've been to really bad ones. This one is one of those bad ones... it makes me feel like I'm at Walmart when I come here. Majority of workers (not all) have that look of not wanting to be there, ask for help? Sure and get that extra disgruntled look. New release Tuesday... don't come here. By 11:30am only half the releases are still put out. These are just little things that make me drive to farther Targets that go the distance for customers. Bought a Nintendo DS 2D as they did not have a Switch then, the very next day when they had stock of switch went to return the DS2D and buy the SWitch, there was no problem returning the DS2D and getting the Switch, but the game that came with the DS2D they would not return. Although there was no mention of returning games when I bought , while returning it was a different story felt cheated, I even spoke to the manager , a Indian guy about my genuine problem , he was of no help and wanted me to sell it on EBay or craigslist. Another thing : while buying the switch there was another rude Indian guy at the electronics section, he would not let me check the content of the box of the switch , although I had given him my credit card and he was processing it already. Felt like trash at this store, got a flee market feeling here, and all this was yesterday 11th of Aug 2019 Sunday. The good part was that , I drove to the Target at Morril, spoke to the manager there he understood my situation , and he easily returned the game that came with the DS2D, and I was able to buy a new game for the Switch. The DS console are obsolete and the Manager at Target in capitol wanted me to hold on to something which was of no use and was bought just a day before... really sucks. I was doing some backyard activity and was not so well dressed when I visited this Target at capitol , May be that's the reason they treated me a trash. The store layout is kinda cool. Entrance from the side of the front. Shopping here isn't that bad, it's not very clean the way other targets are but you can find what you're looking for here without the usual crowd of people. This Target has the smallest section for the impulse buying I have ever seen. It's the 2 little shelves you see to your right upon entering. I tried asking for which aisle to find a certain product. The lady putting things away in the aisle just smiled, apologized and said i don't know and continued working. Even the Target on Story Rd, took 3 ladies to find what I needed, but the point is, they made an effort and walked to other employees to find me. Customer service! Downside when it comes time to paying? ... They have 1 express lane open and 1 regular cashier open, three's a crowd? Try 10 people in a line before anyone takes action. People even made comments to suggest another lane opening up, it just went unanswered. As in, they looked at us, they didn't acknowledge if they heard. Stared at the line then the clipboard. Most of the time at any Target, if they can't get another cashier to help out, they tell the people with few items to head over to the food or the Starbucks line to pay. Yes, people, the Starbucks in Target can ring you up. Granted, please only those with very few items not a whole cartful. Except, nope, they just stood there with a clipboard and observed.
