we should have the rating from -5 to +5, i will give -5. this card accepts only at target, hence it matters how often you go to target store. we hardly goes to target as the prices are high compared to other stores. one time we purchased around 200$ where the store folks forced by saying we get the cash back for the purchase and forced me to apply, later once they applied they say, it went for processing and next purchase onwards it will be affective. It's a pretty good place to shop, definitely above average, and I love the remodeling that they did a couple of years ago. It added more character, me thinks, but if they had/have more people working those cashier registers, there wouldn't be so many customers waiting in a bunch of long lines, on a daily basis; particularly on the weekends. Another thing is that they should think about expanding their sizes, instead of catering to those who fall into either the petite or the "average" body range (this is on the recommendation of my mom) but I have noticed that they're getting better and that's a definite plus! I do love browsing their scarves/hats, paintings, cookware and dvd/cd sections -they always make my experiences there better! read more

I came here to purchase some children's uniform. Keep in mind I went here on a Monday morning (~9am, not busy at all). I already knew what I was going to purchase and what size. Unfortunately they didn't have the size I needed out on the floor. Within the girls children section, there was a man with a scanner going through the clothing. I asked him if he can check if they had the size in the back and he replied, "sorry this isn't my department. Ask her (points to an older lady far away)". If it wasn't his department then why was he there and going through the clothing with a scanner ? So then I track down the lady. I had the pants I needed so I can streamline the process of looking it up. When I asked her to check the back for me, she said "no there no more". She didn't even bother looking it up or anything then just walked away. Needless to say I left. The store manager of this Target really needs to have a training on customer service. Both employees could have just simply looked for me through their device. If they didn't have any, then fine but at least make the effort of checking instead of passing me on to another person or just simply saying no without checking. read more

This is usually one of my favorite Targets but I was so disappointed that after waiting in the abnormally long line to pay for my items, I get to the cashier and happen to only have a $100 bill and the cashier doesn't have change. This is a huge store and there should be no reason for them to not have change. I don't blame the cashier but the manager. Each register should be equipped with all that's needed to make the cash out process as seemless as possible. Step it up Target because your reputation is so much better than that. read more

Pretty standard run of the mill Target. You know you're not in the best part of the neighborhood though when the Target has security up front. But it's actually pretty well-kept compared to others in the area. I actually like that this location tends to be well-stocked, maybe not as busy as some of the others. It's great that this Target has a huge parking lot so there's always spots available. Also, the checkout lines never seem to get as busy either. I really like this Target since it's a lot less busy than say the San Jose Coleman location (which is always a mess). One final note, if you're looking for beer or alcohol, you won't find it at this location so just a warning that it's not sold at this location. read more

Carts are always available and service is quick. The lot should have a street cleaner come more often as there's garbage, bird feces, and spilled coffee stains all over. There's always one flavor on the Icee machine that's out of order. This may be on the clientele more than the staff, but the restrooms have trash and used products on the floor. read more

Decided to head to Target on Capitol Ave. In San Jose since they've been having a clearance on patio furniture everywhere. I bought these beautiful Adirondack chairs at the Silver Creek Target for 50% off. They were 30% off here which is fine, still a good deal. Well, my sister wanted to buy an outdoor rug and that had a clearance sticker on it (they were all on clearance) and was 50% off, good deal right?! Michelle the manager checked our pricing since it did not scan correctly and said it was not on clearance and that it was part of an 8pcs set. Where is this set I said!? I mean that's probably why it's on clearance, the set is not a set anymore. Michelle ignored me and just proceeded without asking or me scanning yet, to check the other clearance items on our cart! Everything outdoor in the back northern corner of their store was on clearance BTW. She check every item we had to make sure it was on clearance against their regular item numbers! Every darn Adirondack chair in the back of the store had a clearance sticker including the outdoor rugs! Do you not know your inventory? She made us feel as if we slapped the clearance stickers on them ourselves! I know folks probably do that but you can't behave as if everyone does. What an awful experience. We bought three outdoor pillows, 4 chairs and my sis really wanted the rug. Everything was priced out correctly so thanks for double checking each item Michelle and making your customers feel like crooks! Lastly, my sister headed back to the clearance items area to find another rug and I waited for her up front; we had paid for our current items already. Tell me why all of a sudden the security guard was asked to post right at the self-check out registers. When my sister returned she had nothing in hand so we walked out with our paid items! As I was loading into the car the security was outside by the doors just watching us! I'm effing appalled! I have never felt so disrespected at a Target like I did today. I don't know if this was racism or what but I will never shop at the Target again! I'll stick to Silver Creek and my sister to Cottle! I am tempted to go back and see if that rug is on clearance for my sister but it's not worth it! It's clear to me that the manager did not know her inventory or she wouldn't had checked my chairs!!! Very upsetting, Target you need to train your staff at this location and you need to make sure prices are up-to-date! Lastly, I asked if they would price-match the chairs since I got them for $9 at Target Silver Creek, she said that's not their policy and not to bother going to Customer Service. Target is Target. It's a great place to shop and grocery shopping. The issue about this specific store is they always DOUBLE CHARGE you with your things. This always happen. The clerk will even argue with you that he/she already voided it. After paying and double checking what you paid for, it still on the receipt and not voided. I don't know if they know what they're doing or they're just TOO LAZY to serve the customers. I had to go to the customer service and fall in line again just to get those things voided and get my money back. ALWAYS DOUBLE CHECK YOUR RECEIPT or they will rip you off. read more

Honestly I'm disgusted at the employees. I go specifically go to this location because I want to get stuff for my car and dogs but they don't restock anything and when you ask employees for stuff they give you an attitude. Today I went to self checkout at the second machine and I was honestly not looking at the floor so when I went straight to the second checkout I fell and landed on my knees which are bruised. It was honestly not embarrassing but it was embarrassing having a custom try to help me out and ask me if I'm ok while the employees were giggling and not helping out. I went to target this afternoon to buy a vacuum cleaner and paper shredder,unfortunately for me the vacuum cleaner was incomplete! So, I didn't even attempt to open the paper shredder box! Absolutely SHAMEFUL customer service. My mom and I went in to exchange some pants, all she wanted was a different size, No gift card, No cash back, just the same exact pants in a different size. Unfortunately it was the one item that she did not have a receipt for as they were a gift. As soon as she walks up to the pregnant 18 yr cashier (MARY) she was informed that such pants were on sale 2 weeks ago. (Alright, yeah what's your point?) We went to go look for the pants, found them and went back up to complete the exchange. Mary said you have to pay $3.50. Us: WHY?? Mary:because they were on sale two weeks ago! Since when do you have to pay to exchange something for the exact same thing? And why do I even give a crap that they were on sale two weeks ago, I'm not trying to get any money out of you!! We asked for a manager, who said OK I'll do it for you just this once but not next time. Are you kidding me? This is by far the worst customer service we have ever experienced! My go-to Target in San Jose: seems larger, cleaner, and more variety. They have huge grocery and electronics sections. They have pretty standard Target stuff, and things you need. Happy to see a Target on the eastside of San Jose. This area has a sentimental memory for me. I grew up in the area just behind this Target. Back in the day it was a Montgomrey wards. They have keep most of the usual stores in the strip mall... the Togo's is still here. Back to the Target.... Well stocked and usually clean. the store has a large lay out. This review is only for this location for this reason, I just thought it should be told. I went to buy some clear shower curtain hooks "Home brand" wich were $1.19 on my way to pay I grabbed a quick drink. As the cashier was ready to scan my curtain hooks, it seemed the price tag was ripped a bit, it didn't want to scan th price. I told her if she can have someone bring another package and I told her the price was $1.19. She didn't pay no mind to me, she started to talk to a "coworker" in their language. wich the only thing I understood when he told her in english was $2.99. She proceeded to ring the register $2.99!! I explained her it was $1.19 and she gave me a blank stare. I told her never mind. I can't believe they just decided on their own to charge customers without price checking!!!! It's not about the dollar amount but it is the principal of the thing. I should have gone and told the manager. That was just unexcusable of their part, and furthermore it was early mid morning and they were not busy at all. Many cashiers were open and I was the only customer in line with that particular cashier. Yes I will still shop at other Targets, but I will make sure "they do" check the price again somehow, if a tag doesn't want to scan properly. The worst experience i've EVER had at a Target store! Went to this store in particular for a child trailer to tow behind my bike. This was the only store in the area that actually had the brand I wanted in stock. Got there, they had 3! I bought 1 & took it home. Got home & immediatly started opening the box to take the kids out for a ride. Well, the excitement lasted until I got the box open. To my huge suprise, and disappointment, the box was full of trash ( a broken old PS2, a volleyball net, some blankets). I tried to call the store (with the # on my receipt) only to get a number disconnected message! So I called another store & they told me 'Bring it in with your receipt & we will trade you out or refund your money' but they did not have the same item, so I made my way back to this crap hole of a store. They wanted to fight it, but after arguing for a few minutes, told me to go get another for the swap. In the end, I got the item I wanted, although it took 2 trips to get it. I also know target is supposed to open boxes being returned to prevent things like this. read more

This target needs help. It does have an excellent garden department but you have to leave the store to get to it. I want to do all my shopping at the same time, not in two trips to my car. Also, as many times as I have been in, I have only had one friendly cashier. mostly I get cashiers who are upset, indifferent or talking to someone else and barely working the register. The security seems to act more like SS Stormtroopers and give me more a feeling of unease about who I am shopping with than not. The stores different sections have different stock level problems. Electronics, Movies and music always look like a tornado hit it and took half the stock with it when it left. I shop here for price. I shop here because it is convenient. Other than that, this is just an old out house with a new paint job until someone in Target mangement actually cleans it up. read more

I love shopping at Target! This one is closest to me with the added bonus of having a Starbucks inside - which is awesome because every now and then their Starbucks have exclusive BOGO free drink deals you can only snag at Target locations. I come here to get pretty much anything from last minute gifts, gift cards, school/office supplies, toiletries, furniture, groceries, toys, etc. I always check the endcaps for clearance deals to pair with my coupons and deals that can get you free target gift cards. Sometimes if I get lucky, I can even get stuff for free! :D In my last trip, Target had a deal where if you buy 3 stayfree pads ($2.89 each), you get a free $5 gift card. I used $2 off coupons on each, making my total down to just $2.67 for all 3. Plus with the $5 gift card, it's like getting it for free plus $2.33 back! Yay for great deals! Other than that, there's always ample parking here and the service is average. The only complaints I have is how difficult their return policy has become and how rude some cashiers can be about coupons. Several times I had to ask to see a manager about coupons I brought because the cashier was giving me a hard time. Not trying to be sexist or anything, but I've noticed (not always, but usually) male cashiers tend to be more accommodating and helpful than female cashiers. Tip: Bring in a copy of the store's coupon policy and they'll stop trying to give you crap. Apparently it's not worth their time to read it. eh. read more

No high from having my paycheck and going to Target to buy something random. Socks, I don't need. A new TV show to get addicted to... a random card, some Vitamin Water... nothing. NO HIGH WHATSOEVER. The one on Coleman is nicer, but I can't stand the college airheads that seem to gather there. You can always tell the difference between the SCU vs. SJSU students... If I'm in the area, I'll come here.... Anyways, here's a really good tip... The workers here are LAZY... So if you take something out of it's packaging, and leave it out chances are if you go back a day or two later, it'll be at an end cap & on clearance!!! YES!!! ON CLEARANCE! This target is an excellent place to find items on CLEARANCE. Just because someone didn't want to put it away the night before! I hate that you have to exit the store to get into the garden section. That's totally stupid! Someone needs to talk to the person who did the floor plan.. It's gets a little ghetto at times too, when there is a large sale, and now that the toys-r-us is closed down, the people with small children bring their kids to beat them up here... oh well... A Target is a Target, right? But I had a really good experience at this one today. Ad for a booster seat in the weekly circular. But I needed 2 of them for twins. :-). They had one on the shelf. So I can't find a helper person in the baby/toddler area. I walk by electronics looking clueless and the guy asks if he can help me. I ask if he's in electronics, he said yes, so I said no, I need someone for the baby/toddler section. He said, ok, I'll help you anyway. Never expected that. :-) So I tell him I found one of them but I needed 2, could he check in the back, so by then a baby/toddler guy shows up, he explains what I need, and he calls to the back. He asks for them to check for 2 of them, so I can get 2 brand new ones instead of the pawed over display model I have. Didn't expect that either. I had mentioned that I have a boy and a girl, and if there was any chance they had a different color, could they check for that, and he didn't forget, and he asked them to check for that too. In the end, they only had 2 of the same color, but seriously, I was surprised both guys were as helpful as they were. A very excellent experience !! read more

This Target is nothing compared to the one I used to go to off Capitol Expressway. It's your typical target that has all you basic needs. And the grocery is now open (yes!). BUT, my last experience here was unbelievable. I'm used to seeing those people wait outside Target and ask for a donation. If I have cash, I would give it. I'm always down to help a good cause. But this past time, I went with a friend who thought he was donating to a good cause aka the "legalize marijuana cause". As my friend was donating money, the guy, who seemed friendly enough, sees that I am using my phone (I was checking-in at the moment!) and asks if he could make a quick call bc it was an emergency. Now feel free to call me stupid, I've done it several times already. I let him borrow my phone and he calls some woman in atlanta and says things along the lines of, "they're after me, I need $200, they're stalking me, I can't eat, and I need to get out of the country by tonight." What the hell did I just get myself into? 7 minutes pass and I tell the guy I'll give him $5 to give me my phone back and just use the pay phone. Thankfully he says yes. Now how this relates to this Target are the workers. Several workers and security guards passed by and I was hoping they would tell him to go away but they didn't help at all. I even tried to put on my best "damsel in distress" look but no luck. What's even funnier is that right next to the guy was a sign that said "No Loitering" and "No Soliciting". C'mon workers, do your job by kicking him out and helping me out! But to be honest, my friend and I probably looked like we were potheads waiting around for some stuff. I'm far from that, I just wanted my damn phone back. If you ever encounter this guy, run in the other direction. read more

I've never had a bad experience here, but other locations (such as Coleman or Saratoga) have much more to offer.
