Crispy eggplant was a little bit weird since people always have eggplants with salty taste, but this dish was not bad either. Gambas al ajillo was another fabulous one. Strong garlic taste with rich oily taste enriched soft shrimps. Lamb skewer with peppers was ok. The lamb itself was nicely cooked, neither raw nor burnt. However, there was a really strong smell from the ingredient which covered the meat taste. For the dessert, we tried creme catanala. The great crispy surface and sweet taste owned me. read more

My girl friends have been raving about this place for the last 2 years, I am so glad I got to try it! Tasca has a nice cozy romantic atmosphere, perfect for a date night ;] To top it off, they have live music after 6PM. I am not sure if this is every night, but I went on a Sunday and there was this cute old guitarist. Now the food. Wow.. there were so many options that looked tasty and I wanted to try all of them! We tried the pan seared tuna over black bean/mango salad, roasted duck, escargots, lamb sausage over couscous, brie with apple and raisin chutney with grilled baguette, and spring roll (seasonal special). Everything was delicious with great flavors. My favorites were the lamb sausage and spring rolls. Brie and apple on bread is always good, but I dont think this was any more special here than other places I have had it. I recommend coming with a somewhat larger group so you can try more tapas OR just bring a big appetite :D We ordered 6 tapas to share between 3 of us and it was okay; know I could have eaten more of the tasty foods. Over 120 reviews! Wow, I'm treading well-worn waters. Still, Tasca deserves another positive review and I am more than willing to give it one. I've been there three times over the past few years and each time has been great. On my most recent trip, I went with three friends, had 11 different dishes and still payed under $30 per person. I know folks tend to think tapas is a pricey endeavor, but you really do get what you pay for and walk out full. The service in the main dining hall was very good. The food came out in waves roughly when we needed them too, and the water glasses were always refilled. The food was delicious and very flavorful. The joy of Tapas is the fact that you get to try so many different spice combinations. We ordered two desserts - an excellent creme brulee and a delicious ice cream stuffed crepe. This was on my list for long time! Finally tried and can 100% recommend to all yelpers. Every dish we ordered was on-point with regards to taste. Pulpo and shrimp pil pil were my favorite. Actually compare to other Tapas places this was worth the price. Service is quick, restaurant is spacious, great atmosphere, decor, music. Seafood paella was yum! We went here for some tapas on a saturday evening, arriving just around when they opened, so there was no one there yet. There are four tables for outdoor seating and they filled within an hour. The barrier around the tables are tall so random people from the street can't watch you eat. Menus are scanned through a QR code for safety. The social distancing is good. the fried artichokes came out differently than expected and the sauce didn't have much flavor. the fried artichoke by itself was 5/10 and the sauce 3/10. this was the only thing i regret ordering, everything else was amazing. the garlic shrimp was a little salty but the flavor was really good and especially good with the bread provided. there's a lot of sauce at the bottom to glob up with the bread. 7/10 the potatoes were super crispy and really good and the sauce was a little spicy but not unbearable, just a tang. the crispness was super enjoyable and i loved dipping it in the extra squid ink in the next dish. 9/10 my favorite tapa was the squid ink with aioli calamari. the calamari itself was well cooked, not too soft. the sauce was the best part. there was a lotttt of squid ink in the bowl, more than you think. mixing the aioli in made it way better. you can dip with bread or the potatoes. watch out your mouth will get black though!10/10 out of everything, the best by far was the valenciana paella. i've tried the paella from barcelona (restaurant) and i have to say this was a lot more flavorful and the rice was perfectly cooked. i was so full from the tapas but i couldn't stop shoving this into my mouth. it is a little pricey but it was just too good. 10/10 overall i recommend those place if you're in the mood for some tapas or paella. i've been to spain a couple times and although it can't compare, i personally enjoyed it. read more

Delightful and reliable for a change of pace. Main attraction is the ambiance. Tapas are fun and interesting, and they are well presented. Our steak tapas came much rarer than ordered, but the three it back under the grill. Very good service, too. Not great value for the money, but if that's not a deal breaker, Tasca is a nice change of pace. If you're hungry, maybe order a paella. Under new management!!! Previously tascas had been my go to spot that never disappointed. Tonight however I was blindsided to find out they are now under new management and the menu has completely changed. Majority of my favorite dishes are now gone, they also discontinued giving bread with fresh hummus, garlic, and olives. I also noticed that the once wow prices are now raised. Thank goodness they still offer wine and sangria specials or else I would have to take the place out of my regular runnings. The new menu was still good to say the least, it just didn't wow me like it had previously. Consider bringing back creamy mushroom dip and goat Cheese empanadas with Sweet and sour sauce. read more

Went here for dinner and it was amazing!!! Valet parking is $6 if you are not able to find it on the street on your own. We had a mix of tapas and entrees to share. All entrees takes 20 minutes to cook while the tapas take about 10 minutes. My favorite tapas are the mussels in tomato sauce - tastes sooo delicious that I wished I bought the sauce home. I loved the salty goodness. Another favorite is the fried calamari- it was cooked to perfection! My husband loved the sweetbreads which is really lamb's thymus/neck. Our waitress was very patient with us and an amazing server. We got the sangria red wine and it wasn't as strong as I thought ( which is great for my family because we don't think regularly but may suck for those who love drinking). Half a pitcher can fill 3 drinks and a pitcher can be for 6 people. At the end of night we got the dessert sampler and it was better than the birthday cake I bought for my brother! The dessert sampler had flan in the center with perfectly baked brownie pieces and ice cream surrounding it. It was prefect for sharing between my family of 7! read more

Yes, I'm on Tasca's email list, and yes, the $10 food gift certificate that I won as their July lucky draw winner is what lured me back in after a five year hiatus. That same email advertised a Three Course Anniversary Menu $19.95 Sunday through Thursday. It turns out, they allow the redemption of the certificate on their special prix fixe menu, so I decided to go that route. For my appetizer, I selected the Fresh haddock taco with cilantro tomato salsa, iceberg lettuce and garlic aioli which is $4.50 a la carte. The fish was lightly fried, the taco wrap warmed by grilling, and the salsa fresh. It was a pretty tasty bundle, though the char marks had unfortunately run into the territory of tasting unpleasantly burnt. As my entree, my server sold me on their vegetarian option - Crispy baked eggplants stuffed with oven dried tomato and Manchego cheese served in a fresh tomato sauce with basil dressed roasted Mediterranean vegetables (vegetarian), which is also available tapas size for $6.50 sans the veggie side. (~$13 plus veggies) For dessert, there was no option, as I was offered the Mini dessert sampler platter consisting of Spanish Flan ($5.95 a la carte), Tiramisu ($6.95), Chocolate truffle (Is that the same as the Tarta de Chocolate $6.50 - Flourless chocolate terrine?) The sampler platter sounded impressive, but the reality was not. Small portions of each of the three desserts were set upon a small plate. As a whole, it loses class points on presentation as each was sliced from their original individually portioned treats and the truffle wasn't even a full quarter of a circle. In total, the platter was smaller than a single whole dessert. Admittedly though, both flan and tiramisu were terrific. The flan was creamy and smooth, the tiramisu was light and creamy. The truffle was quite dense and rich, yet not a sweet dessert. Service was pleasant on the whole, but my water was never refilled as I neared the bottom of the glass, and plates arrived warmed to the table with no kind warning. read more

Not sure about the quality of the food I had here. I lived in Spain and tried out many many local Spanish restaurants for a semester and found that food here was nowhere close to the authentic Spanish food experience. I felt that Some dishes we had here tasted very (rough)Spanish, others were not even close to being Spanish. The white sangria was literally juice; didn't taste fruity nor alcoholic. We also had a rose wine which was good. Gamba al ajillo- it was the most popular dish here. Yes, it was good. Recommend. Seta: purely cream sauce with a few pieces of sliced mushroom. The sauce was very rich but the amount of mushroom was very very few. Not recommend. Tres amigos: the sausages do taste like bar type Spanish food. Not sure if that piece of pita bread was Spanish nevertheless it was pretty good. Seared tuna: it was bad. I had very high hope for this dish because a good version of it is actually super delicious. This tuna was not fresh, dull in taste and the texture was so bad. I didn't know how I should feel about this dish. It was just bad. Caracoles: very buttery and salty snails. Unmm too greasy a nope for me Jamon Serrano: not too bad. Not on par with any Jamon in any supermarket off the fridge in Spain. It tasted very dull and of rough quality. The PAELLA, which I expected to be at least some sort of weird tasting paella, was plain bad. It was a risotto. Very buttery and nothing like a paella. Well, I will not go back to tasca. I know I hold Spanish food to a very high standard and it's easy for me to compare what I had in Spain to what I had in Tasca(which might not sound fair to some). But honestly without any comparison, the food here was still mediocre at best. Salty greasy and bar type food that people enjoyed when they got a hangover. read more

The people I went with all had a really good time and it was just a fun place to eat dinner at. The waiter forgot one of our dishes but it's understandable due to coronavirus. Two weeks ago we celebrated my daughters wedding at Tasca with 23 people. We, her parents, live in Connecticut, but she recommended the restaurant. I can't say enough wonderful things about the planning, execution and food the night of the event. Armando was the perfect manager, communicating with us by email and phone. We were given a long table on one side and guests were treated to a myriad of tapas: croquetas, empanadas, bolas de queso, friend artichokes, eggplant and more. The main course was paella valenciana followed by churros and chocolate. Our waitress Juliana was super attentive, making sure that all the guests had plenty of food and drink. It was the perfect event, perfectly orchestrated. I highly recommend Tasca and their incredible staff! read more

The Iberian ham was awful, cut in chunks instead of Spanish style thin and they served it with some cheesy bread so you really had the wrong mix of flavors going together. Again, maybe it's me, but if you like vegetables and I am not a vegetarian, you will be disappointed as well. Modern Spanish food has a lot more vegetables than this. I think this place should best be described as a fusion of Spanish, South American and Mexican. I know they mean well, and I see everybody enjoying themselves and the place is packed so perhaps I'm the odd man out. That's why I gave them three out of five rather than two. read more

I LOVE this place, it's my favorite spot to relax and talk with my friends. The atmosphere is kind of old-fashioned and relaxing, I haven't been to Spain but maybe that's what it's like.I love that you actually get a decent amount of food with each tapas order - not like Barcelona where you spend $15 for two bites. For a tapas place I feel like the price is very reasonable. I've brought my parents here, my boyfriend, all my friends. The Sangria is delicious and the food is always good, never had anything bad.
