First Visit to Taste & Sea's High Tea - A Hidden Gem! I recently visited Taste & Sea in Glen Mills for their High Tea experience, and it was absolutely delightful. They have been offering High Tea since January 2026 and currently serve it on Fridays and Saturdays from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. I chose the Royal Tea package, which includes a scone, your choice of quiche or soup, four assorted tea sandwiches, assorted petit desserts, and a pot of tea. Since I couldn't decide, I added both the quiche and soup for an additional $5, bringing my total to just $40. The soup and quiche were both delicious, although they were more of an oversized amuse-bouche portion than a full serving. The flavors, however, were outstanding. The tea sandwiches were equally enjoyable. While all four varieties were tasty, my favorites were the cucumber and chicken salad sandwiches. The highlight of the meal was the scone served with crème fraîche and raspberry honey jam. It was absolutely mouthwatering and truly elevated the entire tea experience. The assortment of petit desserts was also wonderful, especially the creamy cheesecake, which was my personal favorite. What made the experience even better was the outstanding service. Lilly and Chrissy did a wonderful job throughout our visit. They were attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed from start to finish. Their hospitality really enhanced the afternoon. I also appreciated that the venue is wheelchair and mobility-friendly, making it accessible and comfortable for guests with mobility concerns. It would be a wonderful venue for birthdays, bridal showers, baby showers, ladies' gatherings, or any special occasion that calls for a memorable afternoon tea experience. Overall, this was a 10 out of 10 experience. The quality, presentation, service, atmosphere, and value were exceptional. As Taste & Sea continues to grow and develop its High Tea service, I'm excited to see what enhancements they introduce in the future. My only concern? Once more people discover this experience, there may be a waiting list! If you're considering trying it, I highly recommend making a reservation. It is a tremendous value and a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. P.S. Before leaving, I took a look at the dinner menu, and several items caught my eye--especially the Toasted Brie and the Chicken Cordon Bleu. Took neighbor out for 70 bday. I ordered surf and turf 45 bucks. I got one bite of lobster so small and 4 ox filet literally 2 bites. The potatoes au gratin were so bad had to spit out the piece I ate. Told waitress she said she said something to owner who is chef nothing. I then asked to see him he apologized but nothing I said I paid 45 bucks and I literally had 3 bites of food and wouldn't take anything off the bill. I told hom I woukd never come back and never recommend this establishment. Shame I miss pescatore the pla e that was there before this dump. Please do not expect a good or decent portion for the price. She got fish said was good but again the portion was so small. How does this place stay in business. We have been at Taste & Sea several times. The most recent was to celebrate a birthday, with family. George , our waiter, never disappoint with his awesome service. Everyone enjoyed their meal, pork chop was delicious , as was the crab cakes , according to our guests. I had the lamb entree. Was very good. Drinks at the bar were excellent, as were the attendants . My only complaint , for me, with most restaurants, why do they not cook the vegetables! In our first visit, I can say The best lobster tail I've had in the area (I'm a New England native). The best pork chop I've ever eaten. Rib Eye is very good. I wasn't a fan of the scallops - there are better around. And calamari, while expertly cooked, could use a little imagination. But I'd order them again. We'll be returning and recommending. We've yet to peek at the dessert menu and are looking forward to it. If I have one criticism, it would be time. This was not a problem for me, but everything came out very slowly. I prefer to take my time and enjoy my meal and wait in between courses but not everyone likes that. So don't plan to dash. Savor your meal - they clearly savored preparing it. I ordered the salmon as well as the brie and Caesar salad. The Caesar salad was the best part as it had fresh sliced cheese on it. The baked brie was also a fantastic texture however, it lacked flavor and could benefit from additional spicing. The salmon itself also lacked flavor, but was well cooked and fresh. The Diet Coke I had was mediocre as well as it did not have much flavor. I sat outside on the patio, which was nice, however could benefit from additional flowers and perhaps more seclusion from the main road 202. The service was good with prompt delivery of food and frequent check-ins. The total was about $76 including tax and tip. I felt like the salmon and brie was slightly overpriced for quality however the rest of the meal seemed fair. I wish the Caesar salad was bigger! read more

We must have went on an extraordinarily off night. It was a terrible experience from start to finish, and failure in every aspect. This was a reminder that you have to pay the bill, but the restaurant does not owe you a decent meal. We were looking forward to having a go-to "casual fine dining " seafood place, but they fell short by a long shot. After getting burned this bad, we would not return. read more

We absolutely loved everything about this place. From the warm and friendly greeting as soon as we walked through the door to the AMAZING food and excellent service. We got the deconstructed filet mignon Wellington (which was cooked to perfection) for our appetizer and then also the Pan Seared Sesame Encrusted Tuna (I devoured it, it was delicious) and the Lobster Risotto (my bf ate every bite) and we were so impressed with the quality of the food. In town for the night from Delaware and am THRILLED we found this gem while looking for somewhere to dine online. First off, John was our server and he was absolutely fantastic. So attentive and sweet. We really appreciated his service. We were very pleasantly surprised with the Tuesday night special of BOGO 50% off! What a deal! We started with the fried green tomato special topped with guacamole and crab. It was delicious. Next we had the wedge and the scallop crudo. Both fabulous. Unfortunately they were out of the Kansas City dry aged steak my husband wanted, but he went with the ribeye (with both the steak sauce and chimichurri sauces on the side), and I had the strip steak with the lemongrass ponzu sauce. Both were perfectly cooked and the ponzu sauce was insane. The mashed potatoes were amazing. Disappointed we don't live closer so can't come more often, but will be recommending to anyone coming to town/in the area and will for sure be back if/when we are. My wife learned about this restaurant on the "Kelly Drives" TV show. She was excited about trying it out. We got a table in their outside patio. Our server, John, was fantastic. He took good care of us. Our meals consisted of the Lobster Bisque, Seared Tuna Entree (which was a special that day), and Scottish Salmon Wellington. Everything was delicious. We ended the dinner with the Baked Brie en Croute which came with Fig. The night we went was buy one entree, get one free which they applied. The Proprietors Punch Cocktail was delicious. The patio had a nice ambiance. The only issue was that sometimes the 202 road noise intruded on our space. read more

Our first dining experience here was truly outstanding, which is why we were excited to return. Unfortunately, our second and third visits didn't quite live up to that initial impression. Visit #2 On our second visit, the service remained excellent--we had a great server again. I ordered the cioppino, just as I had the first time, and we shared the Caesar salad. While the meal was fine, it didn't match the quality of our first visit. The cioppino broth felt sparse and lacked the same depth of flavor. My husband ordered the burger from the bar menu, which the kitchen kindly accommodated in the dining room. He really enjoyed it, and we appreciated that flexibility. Despite my disappointment with the food, I still felt taken care of, and I really admired how the one owner Christina I think, was present--engaging with guests and supporting the staff. Visit #3 Our third visit, however, left me with a pit in my stomach. Christina wasn't there that night, and the difference in energy was noticeable. I need to ever could walk by me. Every server that wasn't ours walked by us and said hello. Probably for the first 10 minutes of us sitting at our table without even any water. Although we were seated quickly, it took quite a while for our server to acknowledge us. Another staff member stepped in to bring us water, and eventually, our actual server arrived. We ordered a bottle of wine and our usual Caesar salad. The salad arrived before the wine, which is a personal pet peeve, especially at a restaurant of this caliber. It was the bartender who brought the salad--he set it down off to the side, which was odd but appreciated under the circumstances. When our server finally brought the wine, there was no apology or acknowledgment of the delay. She was outwardly cheerful and conversational, but it felt forced--disconnected, and honestly, a little disingenuous. Some might call it phony. All I can say is don't bullshxt a bullshxtter. . She never offered us bread, and overall, gave more attention to her other tables while seeming to go through the motions with us. The food came in reasonable time. I had the cioppino again--unfortunately, just average this time. Not bad, but nowhere near the quality of our first visit. (Although my leftovers tasted really good. It's almost like that particular dish needs to be prepared in advance so that all the flavors come through.) My husband had the burger again and continued to enjoy it, thankfully. All in all, the third visit just didn't have the same heart or hospitality as the first two. I'm not sure what changed--maybe it was just an off night--but it definitely made me second-guess whether we'd return again soon. I honestly think our server ruined the experience. I just don't have patience for that, especially when I see other tables getting what they need and when they need it. When it comes to small family-owned businesses, I really want to give this kind of feedback to a manager or the owner before posting a review, but I wasn't able to get that opportunity unfortunatly. I'm not going to mention the server's name to protect the guilty, but hopefully this provides a training opportunity. read more

Run don't walk to this restaurant. We went Saturday night. The deconstructed Beef wellington was amazing. Our drinks were spot on. We got a pumpkin spice white Russian and an old fashion. My fiancee got the surf and turf and I got the filet mignon, everything could be cut with a butter knife and cooked to perfection. Happy hour prices and selections were fantastic, although I'll say the plating definitely reflects the price vs the dish itself. Taste & Sea is open and it was very good! We went on opening night on March 20, 2024. For a first night, we didn't run into any issues. We tried their raspberry cosmo and a spicy margarita - both were tasty and had a twist to them that I had not see before. We had the salmon crudo and the deconstructed filet mignon wellington - both were excellent. For mains we had the blackened barramundi and the pork chop (we changed out the accompanying potatoes for more veggies). The barramundi was very flavorful and the pork chop one of the best I've had. We also had a side of the delicious brussell sprouts (I know what I just said - delicious and brussell sprouts in the same sentence?). Service was great too and the food was nicely presented. Prices were appropriate and parking was plentiful (although if fully booked I would guess the parking lot would fill). We will be going back (especially when the patio opens up and the weather warms up!). read more

I'm beginning to think whoever the chef is, they are not up to scale that T&S claims to be. My wifes carbonara was short on pasta and long on sauce, more like a bowl of noodle soup than a pasta dish. I had the redfish special and although the "sauce' looked nice spread around the plate, there was none on the overly dry fish itself. I should have asked for more sauce on the side. To top it off, my wife ordered the cheesecake and it was an odd presentation, Very thin amount of not cheesy cake on a very thick layer of crust. In today's day & age, you get what you pay for. I have to say, Taste & Sea was incredibly tasty with good portions for me, my wife & one of our adult daughters who joined us. We started out with some apps including their special for the night, the lollypop lambchops - which were out of this world, and I could've ordered 3 more as my dinner!!! My wife had gotten the soup special which was incredible as well. Our dinners were incredible; steaks were done to perfection and my wife's crab cakes were full of real crab meat with no fillers too. Of course we had to top it off with a desert that we shared - and was enough of a chocolate cake to feed a family, with leftovers to bring home. The service from being seated through out the whole dinner was nothing short of top notch!! If you haven't been here - you HAVE TO make a point of hitting Taste & Sea. I was very happy to see a new restaurant in the area focused on Sea Food. The menu looks impressive. Arrived to see a beautiful dining room. Seated quickly and waitress quickly took our drink orders. Ordered oysters as appetizers and was soon disappointed. $4 per oyster that were dried out and full of shell pieces; they were not fresh. Ordered twin lobster tails and was even more disappointed. $75 for two small (frozen) lobster tails is ridiculous. I don't mind high prices if the product is top notch, but this is not the case here. Their new happy hour is amazing. Great list of half price wine and beer. The $10 charcuterie board is very generous; I especially love the marcona almonds. The calamari and colossal shrimp cocktail (1/2 price) and crab claw cocktail and brussel sprouts (reduced price) were also tasty. - When they say colossal shrimp they MEAN it. Biggest shrimp I've ever seen! - The crab cocktail wasn't served cold which was a bit of a surprise but not bad at all. We enjoyed the sauce it was served with. - The breading on the calamari was light and we enjoyed the dressing served on the side. - the brussel sprouts were perfectly cooked and seasoned but were a bit smaller than I'm used to. This was our third time. we were really looking forward to a good meal. Very disappointed the 3rd time around. The raw oysters were warm. The lobster risotto had no flavor and the bread is not high caliber restaurant quality. it tasted like a Parker house roll you can get at the market. We we're really looking forward to the apple crisp dessert. The flavor was good. The apples were hard. I really want to like this restaurant because I've been waiting for a good quality restaurant for a long time. The coffee was good, but it was cold and I had to wait for cream which made it even worse. But it seems that after a few months, the service and quality start going out the door. There was mention of a new full menu and the menus the same. The specials are never really appealing. this may seem like a cruel review but but I need to be honest if not, nothing ever changes. If the intention is to present yourself as a fine dining establishment, follow it up with quality food and drinks and service. read more

We enjoyed happy hour even more because Kelly was super professional and shared her lovely disposition with us. Dinner here the other night. The Bartenders made a great Old Fashioned and Martini. The wait staff is friendly and attentive. The food was wonderful. We sampled the 4 types of fresh oysters on the raw menu. Each had a distinct flavor profile and all were fresh and tasty. The lobster bisque had great flavor. First time. A very well appointed and comfortable dining room. Our server, John, was IMPRESSIVE. He was friendly, prompt, knowledgeable, and gracious. I ordered a glass of a particular white wine, and he asked if I was familiar with another that he suggested might pair better with my first course. I wasn't familiar so he offered me a taste ... he was right. My seared tuna appetizer was delicious, but it was surpassed by my entree--filet mignon. My steak was done as ordered; was of course tender, but was especially moist. The brandy peppercorn steak sauce was great ... nice taste with a bit of tang. I went to Taste and and Sea last nite with 9 people , the food was good but the service was very slow. Our waiter bought out food at different times, service was very disappointing. One of our group checked her coat and when trying to retrieve it, discovered another party had taken it. She was offered a gift card and if it's not returned a replacement. What can one say about a restaurant that EXCEEDS all expectations! My wife, a fellow neighbor, and I decided to try Taste & Sea. Living in Glen Mills, Pa it is difficult to find an upscale restaurant. We had the most wonderful meals of Lobster Bisque, Oysters from PEI, Scottish Salmon En Croute, Blackened Barramundi, Seared Tuna Steak and for dessert 2 Affogato's. The entree and dessert portions were huge. This is a restaurant that I would expect to see in NYC or Philadelphia. The tables are fully dressed as you would expect a "Michelin Star" would be. The service was uneven, the Waiter tried to rush our ordering, the Waitress did not bring the soup spoon with the soup, but these are small items that would not reduce our 5 Star Rating. The Hosts being the owners, also brought personalization to our meal. This is a special place, and we look forward to our next visit. read more

Went to Taste & Sea Seafood, Steaks, Libations tonight with 2 other couples. Had such a great night. I ordered the Venison and my wife ordered the Pork chop, they were cooked to perfection. The other people in our party ordered the Cowboy steak, Lobster Risotto, Filet, and the Salmon Wellington all exceeded expectations. We also ordered the Lamb chop, calmari, and brussel sprouts for apps and couldn't get enough of them. The cocktail menu was great, any type of cocktail you're looking for they have! I had the spicy margarita, bottle of wine and an espresso martini for a desert drink. We also split the Peanut butter & Jam Chocolate layer cake, all I can say about that is WOW. Our server John was attentive and took exceptional care of us all night. At one point someone dropped a fork and he brought a new fork before it could even be picked up from the floor. The wedge salad, the filet and mashed potatoes with the Chianti Demi-glaze were excellent but the STAR of the show is the bone-in pork chop. It's a hidden gem at this restaurant. It's hard to find a pork chop on the menu let alone a good one and Taste & Sea's rivals if not rises above the steak if that was possible because the steak was cooked perfectly with robust flavor.
