Enjoying deli..cious sandwiches with a stunning boardwalk view... count me in!…read more The Boardwalk Deli is the quick service option at the Boardwalk Resort for Disney. Is it high quality? Yes, the food is great. Is it themed excellence? Yes, this is a destination... on a nice day though. Boardwalk has no quick service option inside of the building, so if it is a cold morning or rainy... you are trekking down the ambience to get your food through the elements. That's the only reason I moved it down to 4 We grabbed a chocolate croissant, coffee, orange and breakfast sandwich through mobile order. The order was prepared right on time and they do a great job of making it easy to grab!

With excited, hungry hopes after a red eye flight, my family and I scurried over to the Boardwalk Deli excited for the usual resort quick service options of Mickey waffles, eggs, bacon, and typical quick service options the WDW resorts have to offer. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Breakfast sandwiches (mostly on limited bagel choices) and pastries were all they served. They were above average tasting, so taste was not that big of a factor. Totally bummed out at the lackluster choices for breakfast, we ordered what we needed to satisfy our hunger and had high hopes for the other meals of the days during the rest of our stay. To our dismay, the choices during lunch and dinner were also really disappointing. (Avoid the grilled cheese. Completely disappointing!) We ended up only utilizing the deli to fill our refillable drink cups during the trip. For what it's worth, the Boardwalk Deli did have the mobile order or standby options available. There are no inside options to sit down and eat your food, so rain or heat, you can only sit in the outside tables and chairs along the Boardwalk if you don't want to take the food back to your room to eat. Everything about our stay at the Boardwalk Villas was amazing except the Quick Service options. With a baby in tow now, our days are a little bit different and we find ourselves not spending every second at the parks. Having a solid quick service option on property is important. This was the only con of the property for us.

They have tables inside, so we opted to enjoy our food here. Items ordered: Hot chocolate- Good chocolate flavor and not too sweet Macaroons- kiddo ate them but I did not try them Almond croissant- flaky, great almond flavor, and delicious!! Chocolate mousse- not too sweet and texture and flavor were fine. Tarte au citron- yummy lemon tart! Plain croissant- perfectly executed We tried to go back for lunch the following day but the lunch line was insane and they do not offer mobile ordering.

The videos make them look massive and honestly, they are. The size of one's head! See pic for reference. For two adults and one child, we ordered three items, which ended up being way more than we needed. The croissant alone was so huge it probably would have been enough to share. While it was flaky and semi-warm, the chocolate was a bit overpowering and didn't balance well with the pastry itself. (my opinion only) Don't get me wrong it was good. Just not the amazing, life-changing pastry TikTok made it out to be. In my opinion, it's a little overrated. It's definitely fun for the novelty and the photos. My toddler loved it (it was literally the size of her head), so that alone made the stop worth it. I would have to say it is good, but not great. Come for the picture-worthy croissants and the experience, just maybe don't order as much as we did!

The location is beautifully decorated with a vintage, fairy-tale aesthetic, featuring pastel colors and a whimsical decor. The Cake Bake Shop is known for its stunning cakes that you can buy per slice. It will run you a pretty penny at around $25 a slice. I highly recommend the carrot cake especially if you enjoy cream cheese icing. They also have a special cake each month and I went with it being Cotton Candy flavored. The truffles and coffee are also amazing but also carry a nice Disney price. Despite the popularity of the shop and there usually being a line to get in it is a seamless experience even during busy times. It is perfectly situated on the Disney Boardwalk between Epcot and hotels so you can grab something coming and going. The Cake Bake Shop is a great choice for celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, or simply indulging in a sweet treat and a must on any Disney vacation.

Definitely a fairy tale vibe yet down to earth delicious food and enjoyable service. There is a quality to everything. It was a special time. We went for afternoon tea. My view out the wonderful large window was green and lush landscaping. That added to how relaxing my experience was. I also liked the table lamps. Classy and cozy. We started by sniffing the different teas. If that makes no sense, watch one of the review videos of tea here. I enjoyed that. Sniffing the tea blends like this was a new experience for me. I learned and appreciated tea in new ways. Next, a delicious lemon blueberry scone with the butter, jam, and clotted cream, always a part of this kind of tea event. That was followed by savory tomato soup with a dollop of seasoned crème fraiche, served in a demitasse small cup. Again, full of flavor and presented so well. The tower of delights came next. Exquisite and generous. I really enjoyed our server, Steven, a great person committed to provide an excellent experience at an amazing place.
