A4. Crispy Shrimp Rolls - Cuốn tôm chiên
    Donna B.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Very nice restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I only wanted some shrimp rolls. I was greeted as soon as I entered into the restaurant. The lady that took my order was very friendly and attentive. The crispy shrimp rolls were delicious. I will definitely be back to try other items on the menu.

After all these years, this has become our go-to pho spot! The food is always consistent, the servers are friendly, and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the vibe is super laid back, no need to dress up, no judgment here![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This has become a comfort spot for my girlfriend and I. We stop by at least once a week, the pho is ALWAYS amazing, very consistent on flavor. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I like that it's a small restaurant, it adds a sense of comfort.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff is always nice and it's safe to say, we're creatures of habit because they have memorized our order. If you haven't been here and you're looking for a pho spot, do yourself a solid and stop by here. I recommend the well done beef pho Fried pork gyoza Beef short ribs BBQ Spring Rolls Pina colada Boba & their house made chili oil is amazing on anything!

I would go back here for the gyoza but probably try somewhere else for the pho. We got the vegetable gyoza which was very tasty and the sweet chili sauce with it was great. I would come back just for this it was so good! The pho was good but not great. The noodles were good and the chicken was cut into bite sized pieces which I appreciated. The broth was just a little under whelming for me and lacked spices. My Thai tea was perfect!

Delivery by Postmates was fast and accurate. Amazingly delicious Pho. Very good noodle, fresh vegetables, very meaty, broth is spot on. Well prepared visually, fresh fragrant aroma draws you in to taste the deep flavors. Spring rolls are wonderful, generous shrimp, delicate wrapper is perfectly done. Very fresh and excellent in Summer meal for lunch.

It's my first time back in quite a while. Since them, I've visited a few times to grab the rice plates. I stopped in for a bowl of Pho and it was not that great. I remember the pho being a bit more than average during my past visits. This time -- it was so off. In my opinion, there weren't much broth. By the time I stirred everything up, the noodles soaked up all the broth. It was quite hard to eat from that point. I also ordered some fresh spring rolls and they just didn't taste that good. The dip was all very watered down. I'm not sure what's going on with Taste. It used to be so good. Maybe, it's just the Pho? I've had great experiences with all of the other dishes.

Summary: Authentic Vietnamese food, polite and helpful staff, great vegetarian options, easy parking and easy seating. Good for groups up to ~6-8. Taste is absolutely a place I will be returning to! Found it after another restaurant idea fell through, and I am SO glad we came here instead. The atmosphere is quiet and unassuming, but don't be fooled, the food packs an incredible punch. Food: The vegetarian options are plentiful and VERY well seasoned, no sacrificing flavor here! The veg pho had a powerful sweet/savory taste I think I'll dream about. The veg gyoza was crunchy and matched with a great sauce that I couldn't get enough of. My friend got the rare beef pho and BBQ shrimp spring rolls and concurs the flavor and freshness. Drinks: Standard soft drink menu + great selection of bubble teas! I got the milk tea with boba. It had a light and refreshing taste without the normal headache level sweetness of other boba tea i've tried in the area.

I saw the 4 star reviews on Yelp and figured I would give it a try... it was really just average to me... I'm Vietnamese, my standards are alittle higher... I ordered the meatball pho (bo vien). Their meatball is good- and I said meatball without an (s) bc I hate how some pho restaurants will slice up their meatballs and in actuality it really is one meatball sliced into many pieces... a business tactic. Their banh mi dac biet was not too impressive. The pate was really salty. Bread was good. Had a nice crunch. The meats did not look fresh. They look liked they had lost their color. Service was not really friendly. I just did not get any good vibes from this place. The other customers (2 other tables) also seemed somewhat annoyed. Would I come back? Definitely not.

Fried A7. Pork Gyoza (fried or steamed)

Everyone can find redemption. The pork chops with lemongrass were chosen by my best friend. I choose the pho with chicken. The BBQ Beef sandwiches were ordered by my husband and daughters. We all concurred that everything was delectable. The servings were substantial. Everything had a good flavor. Everyone responded unanimously with a score of 10/10 when I asked them to rate their dinner. PS: My daughter, who is a finicky eater, also said this. Well done Taste!

Chicken curry with Baquette aka curry ga banh mi with an order of fried spring rolls

Found a spot less than a mile away from my new place for vietnamese eats. The menu isnt that big but offers the staples like pho, bang mi , and rice dishes... :-( Place is your typical viet place with some decorations on the wall and only 2 servers ... The lady that takes your order is nice once she gets to know you ... but she will continually come ask you if you are ready to order every min as soon as you sit down .. so be prepared lol So ordered the chicken curry with banh mi here ... if you're into spicy curry this place has it . Tell them to leave the broccoli out .. well that's what I would do next time I come here.. lol The flavor of the curry is good but had more of a thai flavor than Viet curry .. the chicken was shredded like you would find in their pho. The fried spring rolls here are skinny and lack a bit of filling .. so that's why it gets 3 stars Definitely going to come back and try other dishes and give it another try since I could walk or bike here from my new place down the street .

    Steamed pork gyoza

It is a chilly day here in NC, so it was a perfect day for pho! I've been to Taste a couple times and have never been disappointed. I arrived shortly after the lunch rush, so I was able to quickly snag a table, and ordered the steamed pork gyoza and large rare beef pho. The gyoza was so flavorful and juicy! I liked the dipping sauce, which was equal parts sweet, tangy and spicy. Then came the main event - the pho. I'm pretty positive this broth could bring about world peace. You can tell it's been stewing in the back for days, as any good pho broth does, and it almost doesn't need anything additional added to it! I do like a little additional kick and sweetness, so I added some hoisin and sriracha, but make sure to taste your broth FIRST before adding anything extra. The beef itself was super tender and lean. This is a great meal where you certainly get the best bang for your buck. The large rare beef pho was $13, and the gyoza was $6.50 for 5 pieces.

The only thing we felt was missing from the menu was an ability to do both in one meal. A half pho, half banh mi option would be a perfect addition to the menu and has been seen at other similar establishments. I opted for the pork banh mi and it was good. The bread was both soft and crunchy as French bread should be. The pork was decently portioned and the accompaniments were great including the aioli. It has a combo meal option with a drink and fries so I also had peach bubble tea. It wasn't as sweet as I prefer, but still good. The service was quick and attentive. They came to the table to take our order or you can order up front to go. It's super casual as it is in a shopping center and it was clear they got a lot of to-go orders. I would definitely be back and glad we happened upon it!!

This was my first time but my friend's hundredth (her words!) There was plenty of parking. We were greeted upon entry and informed that we could choose where we sat and just to scan the table QR code when we were ready to order. We chose a high top and a server brought us water. The vibrant colors and decor gave off excellent vibes. I ordered the Karaage Bowl (on greens instead of rice AND all the sauces on the side) and a side order of seaweed salad. A server brought them to our table. It was not necessary for us to get up once we were seated. Everything was SO GOOD. Like, "I'm mad at myself for not coming here before" good. All of the sauces were amazing too. I ordered them on the side since I wasn't sure how I would like them all, but I think I'll leave them on next time. The "greens" were a mix of lettuce and cabbage. The side of seaweed salad for $2.50 seemed a little small when they brought it out but it was packed in there and was plenty. The server came around a couple of times to check on us and top off our water. We bussed our own trash. There was only one unisex bathroom that I saw. There seemed like a lot of takeout orders going out (it was a little separate from the dining area which was nice). There was also a lovely outdoor area that would be nice if it wasn't 100 degrees. I will definitely be back to try more menu items!

My friend was there when I arrived, and he sat at the bar. When I walked in the door, I was greeted with smiles and waves. It was very inviting, which is fitting for a ramen restaurant. My friend ordered us Lychee Margaritas, and oh my goodness, it was so good! We decided to visit right at opening on a Saturday, so the bartender was still preparing some of the ingredients needed for the margarita. The bartender informed us that it's usually better once a key ingredient sits for a while, but I loved the drink regardless. I ordered edamame for an appetizer, which came quickly and was good! Since I've never had ramen before, I asked our server what he recommended, and he told me about some of their most popular dishes. He told me the N9. Chicken Curry Ramen was a favorite of his and the patrons, so I decided to order that. It came quickly, and I was immediately in HEAVEN upon my first bite. I loved every bite after!
