I'm so glad they finally opened up a Tastea store in Alhambra because the closest location to home used to be all the way in Rowland Heights. This store is located in the same plaza as the 99 ranch and there is always a lot of parking, unlike the plaza in Rowland Heights where you literally have to sell your soul to find a parking spot haha. I love their fruit teas and my go-to drinks are usually the bootea shaker, peach me sweet tea, and lychee peachie. They have a lot of other options that I hope to try one day if I'm feeling experimental haha. I also love that they offer snacks such as popcorn chicken and fries. Most of the time when I get here, there is a long line but it goes by very quick key because the workers work so fast. By the time I walk from the cash register to the pick up area, my drink is ready... how is that possible ??? If you're looking for a place to get good fruit teas, this is the place to go. read more

The fruit drinks here are so refreshing and the milk tea drinks are so good. And the green boba adds a unique touch to the drink. My go to drinks are Peach me sweatea and Matcha Thai milk tea. I've probably gotten a drink here at least once a month for the past year. Also, the buttload of fries is really good too. They give so much that the fries are overflowing from the box. My favorite place to go for drinks. I really enjoy the seasoning used on the fries. And the drinks are always good. I go for the taro drink since taro is healthy so I'm getting a healthy drink, or so I tell myself. I'm a little disappointed that the last time I went and paid extra for boba, they forgot to actually include boba in the drink and I didn't notice until I got home. It wasn't an oversight with the order either, since I saw it listed on their monitor to include boba as an add-on. Great service during this pandemic. They only allow one person in to the store at a time and if there are more people waiting then they wait outside six feet apart. The staff are very nice and competent about social distancing rules. There's an overhang so even if there's a long wait you won't be standing in the sun and you could also wait in your car because the shop is in a plaza with tons of parking. They have such a variety of drinks that fit anyone's taste and their snack choices are so timeless and amazing. They also have a great rewards program that comes with an app which is super nice to have because they offers deals on certain days when you buy something or free drinks. It opened right next to a Half and Half (inside Ranch 99) so it will be very interesting to see which place lasts longer/does better. Don't waste your time. We heard they deliver and ordered $80 worth of boba for nurses at Keck to thank them for their hard work during these times. Went directly through their website, registered for the ordering method, then placed the order and paid. We even got a message it will be delivered in 35 minutes. 1 hour later- 6 unanswered calls- I get through to speak to Jose who has the worst attitude like I'm a dummy and the order has been sitting there ready for delivery for a long time. Then he tells me to come to pick it up and lies that it's been ready only 5 min ago. No delivery, no refunds, rude customer service, and the boba wasn't even good. If your registration for ordering on your website doesn't work save people and your staff valuable time. Bad business. read more

I decided to give another try and turned out drinks were ok but service sucks!!! Ordered online and went to pick it up. Nobody waiting besides me outside. I opened left side of the double door because my right hand was full. A girl (Asian, wear glasses and she has big hips. Maybe she is shift lead?) was very rude and won't even help me to pass my drinks to my side. She has access to both left and right of table. She told me to open the other door to get drink. She didn't even attempt to help me in anyways. Very sad and unfortunate that some people doesn't have courtesy and thoughtfulness.... Something that we all should be taught growing up. I ordered the matcha coffee there and was pleased with the taste. It wasn't too sweet and it caffeinated me well. Even with the addition of boba, the drink didn't get very sweet. Their boba is green, which is unique. You get two options of either regular boba or honey boba. I went with the regular boba for my drink. The workers were nice and will greet you as you enter the store. The store itself is spotless. There is additional seating outside in front of the store if you prefer a natural breeze. read more

The staff is always very nice and welcoming. My favorite drink is the Strawberry Sensation, I really recommend it. Personally, I do not care for their fries or popcorn chicken. I could find better ones at other boba shops. I really like how they include the calorie information on their menu because I can log my calories confidently and accurately. This is one of the best boba shops around. Their ingredients are fresh and their drinks aren't that sweet. I've ordered the smoothies and some of the teas. I prefer the mango smoothie though. Today as I was picking up six drinks for my office, we had a little mishap. I didn't realize one of the drinks was incorrectly given to us. I called them and the owner quickly fixed the situation. My boss had ordered a Jazmin Green tea as she is lactose intolerant and I received the Jazmin Green Milk tea. He quickly fixed the issue by dropping by my work place with the correct order. My boss was happy and so was I. He even gave her an opsie card which means her next drink is free on them. If this is not amazing customer service, I don't know what is. He went above and beyond when it was one of his employees that had made the mistake. He has a customer for life with me and my boss. Kudos to him! I finally got to try Tastetea with a friend, and I am glad one has opened in the SGV. There are many menu options, including tea, smoothies, coffee, and even a couple food items. It was hard to choose, but thankfully they have a list of the top 10 drinks most people like. I ordered the most popular one, the peach me sweet tea, with light ice and 50% sweetness. Most of their teas and smoothies are fruit-flavored. Thanks to the Yelp check-in, they have 15% off your order. Although the place was pretty crowded constantly, the drinks were made quickly. I really enjoyed my drink, which was surprising as I am not a fan of fruit. The drink is full of peach and strawberry bits with the perfect amount of tea. It also not super sweet which I wanted. To be honest, I am not sure what kind of tea was used, but it tasted really good. I would recommend Tastetea to anyone, as it is affordable and tasty! read more

Honestly if you're looking for good high quality boba this place has you covered. When I get boba here it makes me want to come back for more and more. I would usually come here with my friends or family, and it never disappoints. Whenever I come here there was never a long time to receive my drink which is always a plus! Another reason why I continue to come here is because the atmosphere. Stepping in it feels like you're in a new universe. The amazing smell of all the teas, the smell of the food, and the nice workers as well! However, this spot isn't the best for studying because of the small tables and the loud noises, it's still an amazing spot to come with a friend just to chat or catch along. Also, since COVID is happening they're handling the situation very well and safe. It's now only to-go so they make you order online and you can pay there or on their website. They make you wait outside but it's never more than 5 minutes long which is always good. The first time I came here I wasn't expecting much cause I thought it was gonna be any average boba shop, but once I got my drink I was very surprised. I love coming here for the avocado smoothie. Although it can get pricey and prices change due to the season, I feel that it is worth it. They don't skimp out on avocados and the drink is thick and good. I've had avocado smoothies that taste more like condense milk than an avocado. Tastea never disappoints. Customer service and drinks are definitely spot on at this Tastead location! The place is not too big compared to the Rowland Heights location though. I was having a potluck with my friends and I randomly thought of bringing some good ol' Tastea to the potluck. I bought the "Jug" size Peach Me Sweet Tea from this location and my cashier (forgot the name of cashier, sorry!) and a barista by the name of Elizabeth were very helpful that night. They made the drink and made sure I had everything I needed. The cashier and Elizabeth made the Peach Me Sweet Tea jug for me. The jug came with the tea and two other cups containing the fruits (mango & strawberries) to mix it in order to make the Peach Me Sweet Tea beverage. Elizabeth provided a whole bunch of straws so I could have enough for my friends at the potluck. Not only that, she made sure I had no trouble carrying out everything. Right when I was about to leave, the cashier that assisted me ran to me to let me know that the jug came with 12 complimentary small sized cups included with lids. They were kind about giving me a few more cups when I asked. Overall, my friends enjoyed the jug and used up all the cups and straws the Tastea employees provided me. I was also able to control the sweetness which is great because I personally feel any kind of almond milk tea is extra sweeter than plain milk tea. When I first heard the news that Tastea was going to open in Alhambra, I started going crazy. Months past by and there hasn't been any official update on it. I thought, maybe it was an elaborate April Fools Joke or something? Until then, I haven't really kept up with the update. Until one day, on July 14 (which happens to be their soft-opening day), I happened to see a familiar logo on a building when I was leaving Arby's. And that sign happened to be Tastea. This Tastea is located in that small plaza on Main Street, the one behind Arby's and across from LA Fitness. And what do you know, it was fucking Tastea. People were inside, smiling and glamouring while drinking. It was literally a dream come true. No need to drive all the way to Rowland anymore. This is going to be my new Boba stop from now on. Not even kidding. The space inside is fairly small, but hey, I can't really complain about that since it's fucking Tastea. IN ALHAMBRA!.
