I stopped in today with some friends and we felt relaxed, although boba shops and the like do tend to get noisy here and there. They also have a few games in the back to play. One thing I would like to see is a percentage added to the sugar options available, just to get a better understanding of approximately how sweet the drink would be. Just ordered a 20 oz Vietnamese ice coffee with boba. Got my order and the cup look like a grande size Starbucks cup. I even asked, what size it was and they said it was a 20 oz cup, and they all stared at me blankly. They didn't even fill it all the way up. The screen gave options that if you ask for less ice then it says "no ice/less ice, no top off" and if you want your drink topped off then it's an extra charge. So they gave me a 20oz cup with less beverage if you get light ice. I didn't drink anything and poured the entire drink, boba and all, into an empty 12oz tumbler i had in the car. Never again will I come to this franchise. Dont advertise cup sizes and prices if you're not going to fill it up properly. False advertising! Nice response. You're telling me 8oz is ok that you shorted me on. 20 oz for $7, but only serve me 12oz. 8oz of ice you're selling people on. Smh Check the cups people. However, on my most recent visit, I discovered after paying that they now charge you $0.55 cents if you order less ice or no ice. I had questioned that with the cashier, and he was surprised as well! He went and asked another co-worker, and they had said yes, it Tastea started charging about a month ago! The person who made my drink, apologized multiple times about this, as he didn't know himself. He was very nice and provided wonderful service. Also, it would be nice if the parking lot was repaved, as it feels like you are driving on gravel here and not a smooth roadway. Parking lot could also use some lighting, hardly any lighting within the lot. On the last visit, I felt like they forgot the sugar / sweetness because I was only tasting the sweetness from the toppings, but I had already left and got on the freeway. On the previous visit before that, they just forgot the honey boba altogether and I was already back home before I noticed, so it definitely was not worth going back for. I have been to the Newark Tastea location before and usually have a decent experience, but this time was incredibly disappointing. I ordered a 32 oz avocado smoothie, but was clearly given the wrong size. When I brought it up to the girl at the counter, she didn't greet me, didn't apologize, and didn't remake the drink. Instead, all she did was pour it into a 32 oz cup and added more boba on top, as if that made up for not giving me the correct size in the first place. The drink still was not filled to the top. The price difference between the sizes is significant, and I didn't spend my money just to get extra boba. I expected the entire drink to be remade correctly or at least blended some more with it, not patched up lazily without any acknowledgment of the mistake. It felt like there was zero care for customer experience. I left feeling ignored and honestly frustrated. I ordered the Horchata crunch which in my opinion this particular order should have been named Horchata Crumbs because this is all you see as the topper. I have ordered this drink before and it's usually topped with the cereal. When I got the order I asked the worker if this was my order and he said yes. Then I told him does the Horchata Crunch look like that.. and he said yes. So I asked why does the other order look different with the cereal with no crumbs on his and he could not say anything. I have been a customer since they opened and last week on 1/14 I purchased my regular hot wintermelon milk tea. I noticed the cup was different and did not have their logo. As I drove home and parked, I took the cup out to take a sip and the bottom sprung a leak and started pouring out all over the center console of my car which has a built in phone charger and touchpad. I quickly put the cup back in the cupholder and watched it fill up my dual cup holder with milk tea. I was fortunate I did not burn myself, but I'm traumatized from the incident. As I was cleaning my car, I called Tastea to inform them of the incident and asked for a refund. I asked to speak to the owner and they said they would convey the message for them to call me. It's been past 1 week now and no call. I am highly disappointed as these types of incidents are very serious and can lead to lawsuits (McDonald's coffee spillage lawsuit). I know Tastea ran out of their regular cups and had to buy replacements and cannot have known the cups are defective. I'm appalled for the lack of acknowledgement that my vehicle center console can have damages from the incident. I am deleting my app and never returning. read more

I am a very observant person; it maybe a flaw. I went here on a weekday night. Ordered a smoothie. The cashier who was helping me was wringing a towel that appeared dirty.
