I'm not a huge boba person, but I love Tastea because of their huge menu option. I love Vietnamese iced coffee and their green Thai teas. Super delicious and fast service. I recently got their Tiger boba milk tea with oat milk which was super bomb! Their prices are a bit obsurd, $7.30 before tip for the Tiger boba milk tea but worth it once in a while. Also, the ice filled all the way to the top makes it hard to put the straw in causing the drink to spill and over flow which is the only con I have. I love that you can order on their app and just go pick it up. This Tastea is a little smaller than other locations but not a big deal. Plenty of parking in the lot. The good: I tried a horchata crunch smoothie and asked for light sweetness. I liked that it wasn't too sweet and that the texture was smooth. There are Tastea locations all over California. The other location I went to had some drinks that were too sweet for my liking but it's nice that you can adjust the sweetness. The bad: There is no outdoor seating. The "crunch" for the horchata smoothie was just cinnamon toast crunch cereal on top. It would've been nice if there was some crunch aspect incorporated in the drink itself. On the plus side, the cereal didn't get soggy. The interesting: There were at least 6 workers at the time I came in. A few of them seemed to be messing around like a group of high school students on lunch break. It seemed like a lot of people for such a small shop. Been a fan of Tastea for many years and it's nice that there is now a location much closer to me than going all the way to SJ. My favorite drink is their Strawberry Sensation slushie. LOCATION: Off the 880 freeway Mowry Exit and in the same plaza as Central Computers, Lazy Dog, Pop Churros, etc. Plenty of parking in my opinion but half the of parking lot is loose gravel in a way so just a heads up. STORE: It's located on the corner of the plaza and its pretty COVID safe with a one way in and one way out system. After you order your drink (either in person or through the app) you wait outside until they call you to get the drink. There is a speaker outside of the shop so you don't have to constantly worry if your drink is ready and you didn't hear the call out. DRINKS: I think you are supposed to come here for the Fruit Tea drinks which I think taste better based on the recommendation by the staff but I'm a big milk tea drinker and I got the Matcha Thai Milk Tea instead. It was okay where the Matcha wasn't very strong and Thai tea was also muted so it didn't blow me away. It still tasted good though. I was hesitant to stop by Tastea as I wasn't sure how authentic the tea would taste. My cousins wanted some fruity boba so we made our way over to this spot. The super nice girl at the register, Harneet, went above and beyond in helping me choose a drink by giving me recommendations on what's popular and what her favorites were. When I first tried Tastea in SJ, I didn't like them :D. My drink was way too sweet even at 50% sugar. Think I got the Bootea Shaker. Anyway, this new location shares the plaza with PopChurros, gyro shop, liquor store and Mcds is nearby too! Parking is not a problem. So, downloaded their app to get a free drink and earn points. I've tried the Lychee Peachee, Strawberry Milk Tea & Peach Me Sweet Tea so far. Love that they use real fruit in their drinks and offer Stevia options! It tastes less syrupy than other boba spots and their prices/portions are pretty good! The fruit teas taste light n refreshing. The strawberry milk tea is sweet and creamy (reminds me of in-n-out shakes but less sweet n not as thick). Just wish they offered more green tea options. Yay, I was pretty excited to try Tastea as I've seen it on IG already, but I never got to try it whenever I was in SoCal. So for our 2nd meeting, the guy that I just started seeing chose this place for us to get boba. This place is like next to The Lazy Dog restaurant which is in this low-key plaza. When I'd heard that Tastea came to town I honestly didn't think too much about it only because I'm more of a coffee drinker. It wasn't until my daughter in all her boba wisdom came to me one day overly excited with delight and begged me to bring her there. Didn't know that they also offered drinks like Vietnamese Iced coffee (served with the condensed milk or served as a plain iced black coffee). I was also surprised to see that they had Horchata on the menu. Something I am very eager to try soon is their very creative variation called a dirty Horchata with a shot of espresso. Omg this made me so nostalgic as I used to go to Tastea regularly (on a weekly basis back in HS -- too many yeaaaaars ago) when I used to live in SoCal! Seeing SoCal shops expand in the Bay Area makes me extremely ecstatic! It's like a little piece of my hometown is there with me. :) Anyways, I had to get the almond milk tea at medium sweetness with honey boba for old times sake. I got a house coffee for my bf. When both drinks arrived by Door Dash, I was like a cheerful little kid on Christmas Day! The almond milk tea was just as good as I remembered it to be. It's not artificial flavoring and quite almondy. The boba was the perfect texture, a little chewy and firm, but not overly squishy. The house coffee reminded me of 7 Leaves as it had a hint of hazelnut which makes it sooo amazing! The sea salt cream just brings the drink together. Ya'll where the heck have I been!!? This drink is the bomb!! It's my new favorite drink! If I ever wanted milk tea instead of the fruit tea this is my go-to! It's so refreshing and satisfying! I got mine with 50% sweetness and standard ice. I also got the Taro Milk Tea. I thought it a bit sweet, but it was my brother's drink and he enjoyed it how it was which mattered the most. There's so many drink choices from coffee to smoothies and purchase a jug (gallon) of your favorite milk tea or tea!!! My friend had previously tried this place, loved it so much that she recommended it to me as a last minute drink grab and I'm glad she did! The drinks were prepared surprisingly fast! I don't think we waited more than 5 minutes before all 4 of our drinks were ready, very impressive! The customer service was also excellent! I can't stress that enough. My friend had certain questions about some new drinks she wanted to try and they were very patient answering every question she had carefully so we greatly appreciate that! Second time trying this spot in NorCal and compared to all the times I've had it in OC, I'd definitely say that the consistently with Tastea is great! I enjoyed that here you can decided both the sugar and ice levels and have a lot of options for toppings! Personally I think their drinks are on the sweeter side so I order them half or less sweet. Tastea takes over the old Subway location in the strip mall with Central Computers in Newark. I heard that Tastea was opening at this location for awhile. I was watching the progress, but with the pandemic, I figured it would be some time before it would open. To my surprise, they were going to do a Soft Opening. I got there on Opening Day around 3pm. There was a crowd outside. When I asked where the line was, I was told it was inside -- Social Distancing in place. The crowd outside were waiting for there orders. As it turned out, they stopped the line after I got in -- they were behind on processing their online orders, so they were taking care of those first. I had to wait 30-45 minutes, which gave me time to snap photos of the place where I would not have been able otherwise. Eventually, I made it to the counter and ordered my drinks (Strawberry Ecsteasy and Watermelon Heaven) and made my way outside. By that time, the crowd had vanished. My drinks were ready in under 10 minutes. The lucky folks still in line were offered free drinks from those abandoned orders (up to 20). The crowd was completely gone after that! The manager apologized for the wait. I understood -- first day kinks being worked out plus the huge turnout. The drinks were great and refreshing. I'll definitely be back -- maybe when the initial rush has died down. read more

Love coming here when craving boba or tea, it's in a small plaza across from lion and even though weird people come in and out of the smoke shop it's far enough away to not be a problem. You can control the sweetness for the tea and it always tastes clean and freshly made. The smoothies are also very good and you can tell they use tea fruit in it. read more

Tastea is a very solid boba place! I come here if I'm craving fruit teas. I love how their fruit teas have so many fruit chunks in it and their tea is actually strong. I always order light sweetness because I find Tastea drinks to be on the sweeter side. We were in the area on 5/8/21 around 2:30pm so we stopped by for a drink. The parking lot was mostly filled up but we found a spot right in front. We ordered the 20oz Lychee Peachie ($5) and the 20oz Peach Me Sweetea ($5) both with boba ($0.70 more). It took a few minutes before our drinks were ready. The Lychee Peachie was good and wasn't too sweet to me. The Peach Me Sweetea was also good. They were both similar to other Tastea locations which was good. Tastea was a good place to have a drink especially when it's hotter weather and I would recommend it. read more

For example, I ordered no ice but they gave me little ice. This has happened to me a few times. I guess it depends on who makes your drink. I'd like to be fair with my judgements and review wherever I find possible. As a person with a business mindset, it is not the product of any business that makes them successful. But it is rather the customer service that builds a brand loyalty to grow the business and retain customers. I shared my feedback of my few unpleasant encountered for the first time without expecting any changes to be implemented. I was set on not returning as a customer. However, Emily (business owner) reached out to me with her sincere apology of the situations and tracked down my order and account to complement my purchase with acceptable reasons of hiring and training processes being a bit more difficult during the pandemic and will be further reviewed. I gave the spot another shot and to my preference, it is now indifferent to other Tastea locations. Seems like some level of actions were implemented for better changes. However, the service feedback displayed through my unsettling experience put my preferences further beyond just recognizing the products of this chain. For that reason, I see myself potentially choosing Tastea and many of its location over another competitor's shop whom may have excellent products but poor services. read more
