Stopped by Tastea the other day, this particular one is in Torrance off of Sepulveda blvd. Nice, small restaurant inside. The service was quick and the lady who took our order was nice (she was funny too). Drinks! We got the tiger milk tea and Mango milk tea, both very good and recommended. Food! We tried their fries and their karate chicken. The fires were nice and crispy but the seasoning on them was a little much. I have been a huge fan of Tastea for years now. Before, my friends and I would drive to Cerritos for Tastea, so we were SO excited when the Torrance location opened. Plus a drive through?! Can't get any better than that. We frequently go to Tastea, and one of the thing I appreciate is that the drinks are always consistent. The sweetness levels are consistent and the drinks always taste the same every time. My new favorite has been the horchata milk tea, usually medium sweet. I don't add toppings since it already comes with the Cinnamon Toast Crunch and the sea salt foam on top. It is delicious. It tastes like a creamy milk tea with cinnamon. Highly recommend! Some other favorites are the strawberry milk tea, or the yummy gummy smoothie. The tapioca pearls are always soft. My day is always better when I get Tastea. read more

The Avocado Avalanche Smoothie has become my new obsession, and yes, so glad that this Tastea location is so close to my in laws in the South Bay. It's the perfect treat for the drive home to the SGV after a visit... 5 stars!!!!! Tastea definitely satisfies my Avocado dessert cravings from my childhood in the Philippines. If you've never tried avocado as a dessert, give it a chance! Yes, you can't just make guacamole or toast with avocados. The Avocado Avalanche Smoothie at Tastea is a delicious yummy drink! Unfortunately, this smoothie is dependent on having a supply of avocados, and sometimes it's not available. Other delicious drinks that I consider ordering include the Chamango and Lychee Freeze Slushies as well as the Passion Attraction Fruit Tea and the Tiger Milk Tea. It will definitely take more visits to taste the many other offerings at Tastea, but so far, no drink has disappointed. Highly recommend that you download the Tastea app. Not only can you order ahead for pickup through the app, but there are always sample promotions that one can get through the app. Moreover, you can easily collect points which can give you discounts on future drinks and/or food! This Tastea location has a very small parking lot, but it does offer a drive-thru. My advice is to simply order from the app and retrieve the yummy goodness at the pick-up window. read more

Omg! I've been waiting forever for this drive-thru location to open up being that it's so close to my home. This was my first drive-thru boba experience lol. I gotta say, I'm into it! Being a boba fan, I have to have it at least once a week. Tastea is able to fulfill my weekly need very conveniently. No need to park and get out of the car. I can just sit back and stay in my car. Super yummy drinks for a decent price point! We tried the strawberry matcha w boba, the signature coffee, and strawberry smoothie. The coffee was absolutely divineee, they used sea salt foam and it was just chefs kiss. The strawberry matcha has big chunks of strawberry which is not the best texture wise but im sure its good to some people. The honey boba was perfect consistency. The strawberry smoothie has chunks of strawberry throughout as well which just adds a nice touch to the smoothie. Overall, its a good deal and the drinks are well made and scrumptious. Drive through was empty and quite big during early afternoon but Ive seen the line get pretty long at night time, and now I see why! read more

I came to Tastea yesterday afternoon for a boba and a snack. I liked the drive through. It was very convenient. I ordered a mango all the way slush (full sweetness) & the karate chicken. The wait for my items was long, keep in mind there was only one person ahead of me. The wait was for the chicken. As far as the drink goes, it was way too sweet. I foolishly underestimated the sweetness level. I probably could've gone one step down. I personally didn't like the green mango bits, & am used to the normal boba color. The green threw me off. The chicken was fresh, and it was a good serving size. I could've done without the herbs on top, and I would've liked more actual pieces of chicken vs the crunchy bits. Next time, I'll order my drink less sweet, skip on the green bits, and see if I can order different boba. read more

Tastea Torrance is finally open! They're currently in the Soft Opening stage & loyalty members can get 150 bonus points for any purchases made during the soft opening (till November 30). This location is the first ever drive thru location for Tastea too and so it makes getting boba so easy and convenient. If you don't want to go thru drive thru; you have the option of ordering via the app and going to their pick up window or going inside and ordering via their online kiosk. There are only two small tables inside. For my first visit I got the Bootea shaker that has mango, peach, pineapple and black jelly! This was one excellent drink and I thought well worth the $5.50 I paid for a 20oz. It was full of ingredients and flavor! They are so generous with the black jelly. It is definitely one of the tastiest fruit drinks I've ever had. I also got the Karate Fries (available as regular $7.89 or large $10.55). You can choose spice level and one sauce (weak sauce or ranch sauce). (Note the weak sauce is chili sauce.) I got spice level ". mild and wild" but it still had quite a kick to it. The Karate Fries were just ok and did think it was a little pricey for $7.89. I am glad I tried them but will probably just do drinks next time. I am quite happy to see Tastea now in Torrance! The wait is now over and I'm already making plans to go back very soon :). read more

I walked inside to order and to my surprise, you order using a kiosk. No interaction with an employee. Which means they don't accept cash. They do cut down on labor costs for not having a cashier. First time here so I got two drinks. The drinks were both really sweet even though I ordered half sweet on both. Also they have a lot of caffeine. Nice interior and has a drive-thru option. I ordered my drink today and looked confused when received my drink because it didn't look normal.. You can order inside or through the drive-through and also through DoorDash. Please note that the strawberry is extremely sweet if you get it at the full sweetness, but my Matcha Thai was perfectly balanced even at full sweetness. My mom was taken back by the sweetness of her drink, and the worker noticed, and instantly offered to remake it. We were so thankful for her and it was a kind gesture, and she knew automatically what the problem was. While I do think they are quite pricey, for the drinks, you are receiving, I would definitely go back to try something else on the menu. Order was ready on time, still steaming hot fried chicken with all the proper seasonings for that authentic Taiwanese popcorn chicken flavor. Tastea is one of my favorite places to get boba. This location has a drive thru and a couple tables inside. This type of setting is not a great place to study because since it's so small, all you hear are the blenders. Even though it's one of my favorite places to get drinks, the service can be kind of slow. They always have their online orders service turned off and since they have a self service kiosk inside, the staff doesn't help you as much if you need napkins or have questions. They have a great variety of drinks with the ability to choose to nondairy milk... oat milk is the way to go since i'm lactose intolerant. Very Disappointed and disturbed Tastea is absolutely my favorite location to get boba drinks. All their drinks have been really good and would never disappoint me. My ultimate favorite is their taro milk tea. There are many options on how to order your drink: sweetness level, less ice, top off, type of milk and different varieties of things that can go in your drink. Today I was absolutely disappointed in their customer service. I ordered two Thai Teas and noticed one had a hair on the inside of the lid and was touching the drink. I told the girl who handed me my drinks about the problem and instead of handing me a new one or even offering a new lid she simple pulled out the hair and handed my drink back to me. I am very disgusted in this customer service and it is discouraging to come back to my favorite location. This happened on 10/15/23 around 8:50 pm. It is in it's own space so the parking lot is specifically for Tastea customers only! There are plenty of parking spaces. It's located near the intersection of Sepulveda Blvd & Crenshaw Blvd. Tastea is a great place if you are looking to get a refreshing drink. They have a variety of different smoothies, slushies and teas. Their topping options are different bobas and jellies. My favorite is the strawberry bananza smoothie with honey boba. Out of all the Tastea locations I've been to, this one is my least favorite. I went the week after their grand opening but didn't write anything at the time because I thought they would improve after a couple of months. I went again recently, and it was just marginally better. You can find them near Sepulveda and Crenshaw, where Wienerschnitzel used to be. Parking is adequate. To order, simply walk inside to use one of the tablets and then head outside to pick up your drink at the window. If you want to stay a bit longer, feel free to walk back inside where the seating area is. Tastea Torrance is unique because this is their first drive-thru location. There can be a bit of a wait depending on when you go. It's better to order ahead on their app or website: order.gotastea.com so you can just park, pick up your drinks and leave. The Classic Milk Tea and Jasmine Milk Tea were both watery. The Strawberry Milk Tea was sweet and refreshing but didn't really have any tea flavor. I did not like the green and red holiday boba at all, it was too mushy and didn't have any chew to it. Portions were pretty skimpy as well. At 70 cents a scoop, they charge a little more compared to many of their competitors and also give less at the same time. And it wasn't even tasty. My second visit was after Christmas, so it was just the regular green boba. The texture was still on the soft side but was decent this time around. Avocado Avalanche and Strawberry Sensation could have been more finely blended but I'd choose them over the milk teas. I might come back for the popcorn chicken and fries, but I'd pass on another drink. read more

Tastea finally opened up in Torrance! Love that this location has a drive thru. Ordered the karate chicken and the peach me sweet tea. The chicken was fried to perfection, it was crispy but could have been a little spicier as we selected level 3. The peach me sweet tea was great, the perfect drink and consistent from other Tastea locations. I thought the chicken wouldn't be fresh if ordered at the drive thru but I was wrong, it was hot and crispy.
