Out of all the Tastea locations I've been to, this one is my least favorite. I went the week after their grand opening but didn't write anything at the time because I thought they would improve after a couple of months. I went again recently, and it was just marginally better. You can find them near Sepulveda and Crenshaw, where Wienerschnitzel used to be. Parking is adequate. To order, simply walk inside to use one of the tablets and then head outside to pick up your drink at the window. If you want to stay a bit longer, feel free to walk back inside where the seating area is. Tastea Torrance is unique because this is their first drive-thru location. There can be a bit of a wait depending on when you go. It's better to order ahead on their app or website: order.gotastea.com so you can just park, pick up your drinks and leave. The Classic Milk Tea and Jasmine Milk Tea were both watery. The Strawberry Milk Tea was sweet and refreshing but didn't really have any tea flavor. I did not like the green and red holiday boba at all, it was too mushy and didn't have any chew to it. Portions were pretty skimpy as well. At 70 cents a scoop, they charge a little more compared to many of their competitors and also give less at the same time. And it wasn't even tasty. My second visit was after Christmas, so it was just the regular green boba. The texture was still on the soft side but was decent this time around. Avocado Avalanche and Strawberry Sensation could have been more finely blended but I'd choose them over the milk teas. I might come back for the popcorn chicken and fries, but I'd pass on another drink. read more

They have many different options of tea to choose from with great flavors such as Matcha, Taro, Original Milk Tea, Thai Tea and even some fun flavors like strawberry matcha with real strawberry pieces. Quality- 5/5 Boba is very soft, fresh, chewy, and with good flavor. It's labeled as "Honey Boba" and is green. Very good and tasty! Flavor- 5/5 I had the taro, at full sweetness it is not overwhelmingly sweet. Very yummy! My husband had the OG milk tea, very delicious as well. Good milk tea flavor and we love that it is non dairy, as said in the description. Service is very friendly and very fast! Tastea finally opened up in Torrance! Love that this location has a drive thru. Ordered the karate chicken and the peach me sweet tea. The chicken was fried to perfection, it was crispy but could have been a little spicier as we selected level 3. The peach me sweet tea was great, the perfect drink and consistent from other Tastea locations. I thought the chicken wouldn't be fresh if ordered at the drive thru but I was wrong, it was hot and crispy. A Matcha Strawberry that already comes with oat milk ... yes, please! The drive-thru is such a nice feature. It makes it super convenient. Especially, when I have a late night craving for a sweet drink, which has been happening quite a bit lately. I wanted to order fries, but I was informed that the kitchen closes an hour before closing, which worked out better for me. I def didn't need the extra calories, so, it was all good. I really do love the drinks they have here and especially love the Yummy Gummy smoothie! The other day I tried the fried shrimp for the first time and they were freshly fried and came with a sweet chili dipping sauce, Sooo good. Only thing that's not so great is the fact that the drive thru takes 7-10 business days to get you through so if you have time to kill it shouldn't be a problem. I've been trekking down to Westminster for Tastea for nearly 15 years now, so I'm so happy they opened one here in Torrance! It was my favorite spot for fruity teas back then, and even though boba teas have upped their game in the last decade, it still is one of my favorite options for fruit teas. I especially like that their toppings include fruit chunks. I love that the Peach me Sweetie comes with peach and strawberry bits. I will add that their drinks tend to be pretty sweet, so I usually order it Lite Sweet. Their signature green boba isn't my favorite, tbh. It's usually not chewy enough (not QQ). My favorite go-to topping is the green mango bits. It comes in their Sunset Peach but I like to add it to some of my other drinks. It's a little tart and it contrasts with the rest of the flavors! Another highlight of Tastea is their snacks! Their fries and popcorn chicken are really tasty (haha) and when it's fresh out of the kitchen it's perfect! You can adjust the spice level which can really take it up a notch. I have yet to try the shrimp, which I've heard is amazing too. I usually order it via the app and pick it up. You can pick up inside or in the drive-thru. I will note that the app sometimes doesn't have some of the food items available, when it's available to order in the drive-thru. The classic milk tea is alright, and smoothies like the Strawberry Sensation are good when you don't want caffeination. You can also get jugs for a group, and fruity teas like The Unknown are bound to please a crowd. Just remember to ask for a lower level of sweetness - they, like every boba place, tbh, have a heavy hand with the sugar. If you like toppings, they have a ton. All sorts of fruit bits, plus the standard jellies and pearls. If you love adding texture to your drinks, this is where you let your imagination run wild. They also make fried finger foods. Calamari is fun, and the Fries come with a surprisingly addictive seasoning. Not something you'd think to order but it's nice to have something to nibble on while you drink. Really fun place. The staff were very friendly, I opted to go through the drive thru as I was in a rush. Didn't wait too long, around 10 minutes, which is understandable considering they are a new place and working out the kinks. The matcha milk tea was very delicious and the karate chicken was cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, the spice level as perfect not too spicy. Tastea has become my new go-to boba spot in the South Bay! I was thrilled when I found out they finally were opening in Torrance since I used to drive all the way to Cerritos or Long Beach to go. I love the convenience of the drive thru at this location but the inside is fairly small and there are only a couple tables and chairs inside. I usually will order online through their app which I highly recommend so you can receive points! I also really like their rewards system because you can get free items (food and drinks). The service is usually good, not taking forever and the workers are usually very helpful! Even when it gets busy and the drive thru has a long line they are usually apologetic about the wait. I also like a variety of their drinks so I am able to switch up my order and never get tired of it! My top favorites are the Jasmine milk tea, Peach me sweat tea, and Passion attraction. I also really like their slushies like the Peach me freezie and Mango all the way! Their popcorn chicken and fries are also so good! I love the seasoning they use for the fries and you also get a sauce with the food orders, I usually get ranch or their version of a sweet chili sauce (weak sauce). You can also choose the spice level for the chicken and the fries have the option to choose a flavor now! I usually get mild for the chicken and original flavor for the fries. So happy that a Tastea finally opened up in the South Bay, specifically Torrance! It's also the first drive-thru location, next to the plaza with Coco Ichibanya. You can order inside, at the drive-thru, or through mobile order. There are parking spaces available and a little bit of seating inside. I always do mobile order and tell them my name at the speaker and they tell me to pull up to the window. Tastea's speciality is their specialteas, my favorite is the Passion Attraction. I have also tried their milk tea and it is good too. Their honey boba is green and during the holidays it's red and green :) I love that they offer free samples of new drinks they have through their app, so far I have redeemed offers for stevia bootea shaker, hot Thai milk tea, hot matcha milk tea, & stevia peach me sweetea. It comes in a cute little cup. It's great that they also offer stevia if you want a substitute for sugar. The customer service is always great. The drinks here and fries are not too bad, but the people working there can be so rude! We ordered online today and waited so that others at the pick up window would check in and move out of the way, but as we approached the window, one of the employees said, "you need to check in with us to get your order." Normally that wouldn't be so bad, but she put her rude girl pants on today and was super passive aggressive with giving us our order. To be clear, we didn't speak much at all, so the interaction was all on her. She pushed our bag out the tiny window crunching everything in it. Then she passed us our drinks. I was so excited to see a Tastea open nearby but the experience at this one leaves a lot to be desired. The flow is super weird, the self order computer system is confusing when trying to redeem pts, and staff need to be trained better - the one I interacted with was curt and unfriendly. The drive-thru was closed when I went by..isn't that the whole point of this place? So on a rare day when it was raining, I had to park and walk through the rain into the tiny stand. Then after you order, if you picked "takeout" it tells you to go to the "pickup window" which is outside. Why is the pickup window outside and so far from where you order? Makes no sense. The food is relatively good, which is why I'm giving 3 stars. The drinks tend to be too sweet. Oh, and for the "weak sauce" they give you cheap looking sweet and sour packets instead of ones in the dipping containers that I'm used to getting at other Tastea locations. Visited this location last night and they didn't quite get the order correct. I got 2 of my 3 drinks I ordered correct. The one they missed on was my 32oz mango all the way. First they gave me a 20oz. I told them I ordered the large size so they took it back and then made a 32oz. Then after waiting I got the 32oz but what i didn't notice until I got home that it had no honey boba in it that I ordered. I didn't really notice because of the green mango bits since it was late a night. So frustrating. They were pretty busy at the time with the drive thru and pickups. I'll be sure to check everything next time before leaving. Another thing is there kitchen closes one hour before but the kiosk still lets you order food. They put a sticky note up on the screen but no one reads it. I'm not sure why they can't just update their point of sale to show food not available or out of stock when the kitchen closes. I highly recommend going to Tastea as they have such a well rounded variety of drinks from slushes to teas and even smoothies! The service is fairly quick but if you are in a rush I highly recommend you preorder through app since your drink will be ready for you once you arrive. If you decide to order inside you order through a kiosk but we found out that the drive through was a little faster than going inside and using the kiosk.
