Visited August 6 2026 in Yuba City. The location itself is kind of rundown with closed up businesses and a large thrift shop next door. The lunch buffet was under 16 bucks and there is alot to choose from. I didn't try the Mongolian BBQ in the very back of the restaurant. It's dated but clean. Big koi pond wasn't running when I was there. They also have a dinner buffet. Ps. One of the workers wanted to know why I was taking photos..kind of rude! We were looking for a Chinese buffet and came across Tasty Buffet online. After reading some of the reviews, we were a little hesitant to give it a try. I'm glad we did. There were five of us, and we were all pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was clean, the staff was extremely friendly, the food was good, and the prices were very reasonable. I wss here for thr Colusa County Fair and given this is thr omly buffet in the area, gave it a try. For thr price, the food is ddcent and nothing to praise about. I was there 30 minutes after opening and food was eithrr overrcooked, dry, and someeh a t flavorless. Thd ambiencd is as if you came to a 100 yesr old chinese banqurt hall, everything run down, a koi fountain not operating, a old dusty booth seat. Tried the mongolian bbq station, very few options and o ly two protein option. Sushi, non existent, few options and sitting alone in the ice station. Bathroom full of slip mats and door kept opens, showing passerbys those using the toilet inside. For 17 bucks at lunch, rather go to a sit in regular restaurant next time i am in the area. If you dont know what you want to eat and on a budget, just go to the buffet to satisfy your hunger, dont expect much. read more

Definitely a 3.5. I have been here a handful of times, my parents enjoy coming here. I have never gotten sick and I keep with foods I enjoy. I use the Mongolian bbq every time, I omit the poultry, meat and seafood on my noodles. They turn out so yummy! The last two times the food in the buffet was lukewarm and the chicken egg-rolls tasted like the filling had gone bad. Some food has no seasoning/flavor but I stay away from those items. There is such a variety of food and their service is so good and everyone is super friendly. The decor is outdated and the ceiling and walls are a bit dirty, they also won't let us sit by the front where the windows are, which I prefer because I like to see everything on my plate. I don't want to accidentally eat a bug, lol. All in all, I don't mind going with my parents every few months. read more

We decided to try it for the first time because we are new to the area. The location was very sketchy, as we entered it smelled like dirty laundry. Took my family today for dinner and this will be our last time coming here. My daughter found a dead fly in her plate of lo mein noodles. The server took her plate and was not even one bit disturbed. He showed it to the manager and they both didn't look one bit surprised. We literally just sat down, not even 5 mins. I got up and refused to pay. Well we went here today for Mother's Day and the place was full. In the food area and the other seats they had the AC on and they took us and sit us in a room and it was so hot in there. We asked if they could turn the AC on but they said it wasn't working and then I think the owner said he would turn it on but he never did. And they ended up moving us to the area that had AC on but our tables were separate because of the place being full so that's understandable. Been going here since this place was next to the mall, but tonight was our last time! We had a party of 12 and was charged for 13. We did explain that we had ten adults and two kids (my two brothers , my two sister in laws, my three older daughters, me , my mom , my dad, then my 5 yr old and my two yr old niece ) which yes my brother and his wife and my niece left early . But they really wanted to argue it out with us that we had 11 adults and two kids . Worst "buffet" ever. To start off the male who seated us did not seem very happy to be there, he did not even greet us. Came here around 8pm, there was still over 45 minutes left to eat and little to no options!! I have never been to an empty buffet no matter what time of the day it was food should always be stocked up especially when there is a good amount of people. On top of that, the food was barely even warm didn't it even taste freshly made! We were soo disappointed and unsatisfied that we weren't even there for 10 minutes. I instantly felt nauseated and sick to my stomach. As we were walking to the counter to pay the same server asked if we were done already, he knew how disappointed we were and did nothing to make us feel better and to top it off it was around $20 per person ! before there was new management, we used to come here and did not know it was under new management so we thought let's give it a try. we were very shocked. It was very good. It was really good. I am a very picky eater, and there were some lots for me to choose from. it was a Friday night people were coming and going people were getting takeout and eating in . they were constantly keeping stuff fresh and putting out new things. they also have Mongolian barbecue. I called before hand and asked about the crab legs, they told me yes they had them on the phone then when I asked about it in person they said no. Tried a few different entreys and all of them were not edible. We both got one dish and did not eat more then a few bites.
