For a restaurant that looks and feel nice, doesn't feel like we're in Fields corner lol I've had a couple experiences when dining in here. Their food is good. I used to get this moo yang (grilled pork) dish from Dok Bua in Brookline in the past but unfortunately, they're closed now. The Moo yang dish here is totally different from what I expected. Not sure if it was an off night, but my pork was no grilled well... I was hoping their was a char on the pork but there was none. It almost tasted undercooked. Luckily it wasn't... The sauce that comes with the grilled pork is really good. It definitely saved the pork. This comes with a side serving of sticky rice. I would give this dish a 6/10. I'm definitely going to come back and give this dish another try. Pad Thai here is good. I would say 7/10. We did have a mishap because we requested no peanuts and there were peanuts all over. Requested for extra spicy and it wasn't spicy...

I don't think the prices on their menu are justified for the big portions they serve! Yes, they give plentiful ingredients for lower than standard menu price compared to my local area. I don't go to Dorchester often, so I am not sure if the other Vietnamese restaurants within its vicinity have similar price range. But this restaurant is definitely worth checking it out as it has a decent selection to order. I had Bun Bo Hue and my friend had #75 Crab Noodle Soup with Water Spinach. Bun Bo Hue was not spicy, was on the sweeter side, but it was flavorful! They provided me a saucer of chilly oil to adjust spicy level to my liking. #75 was good as well and like I stated it had plenty ingredients (at an affordable price)! If you are looking for modern or intimate atmosphere, this is not it! If you are okay with old school look and closer to homemade food, go for this one!

We were surrounded by a lot of Vietnamese people who were all having a good time. We had the bun bo hue and the bun mam dac biet. The portion size for the price was astounding. I couldn't finish my soup and had to take it home. The broths for both dishes were amazing! If you love spicy beefy soups, go for the bun bo hue. If you like fermented seafood broths with a lot of seafood, go for the bun mam dac biet. The quantity of seafood in the latter was astounding. If you love blood cakes, you will get a ton of those in the bun bo hue. All in all, I loved going to this place and would visit again. You should give this place a visit.

I was here a few years ago and it was awesome…read more I happened to be in the area so stopped by again It is more authentic Thai food which is the only good thing I can say though you'll get a bunch of rice and little meat. They have a kiosk you order food. The first thing you see is how many pennies they will charge you for any fork knife spoon plate bag etc. it's making customers wonder if you're stressing over pennies what's the quality of food like are they skimping on that too? I ordered a pad kra pao. It's always been served with an egg. Not here, that's $2.95 extra! The price doesn't include any meat/tofu, you have to choose one that's at least $1.95 more So $17 plus tax for a takeout and they make me pay .03 for a fork and no napkins anywhere to be seen btw. The dish was almost all rice. There was maybe 6oz of basil peppers and minced chicken Gf had a panang curry which was also almost all rice I won't be coming back sorry to say especially given the horrible traffic that plagues this area. That's my .03 or the cost of their stupid plastic fork....... Next time I'm headed north on 93 to Bangkok spice in reading

For a late lunch, I stopped by Pho 2000. On a Wednesday at 2 p.m., it was empty. I put in my order…read morefor spring rolls ($4.50) and bun bo hue ($13.95). The spring rolls arrived within 5 minutes--two rolls, cut in half. The rice paper was springy enough, the sesame sauce wasn't watery, and the shrimp wasn't overcooked or old. I don't need to ask for much else at a neighborhood pho joint. The bun bo hue arrived a bit after I finished the spring rolls. The noodles were springy, the broth piping hot so the bean sprouts wouldn't sap too much heat, and the portion size was decent. I enjoyed all the beef tendon, but it was missing the pork blood and the funkiness of chili crisp that usually defines bun bo hue. The bun bo hue itself is a miss by its own definition, but still a solid beef noodle soup. That's the primary reason for 3* instead of 4*. Not a bad place though, especially for the price point. I'd come back.
